Wizorb bounced its 8-bit graphics into my heart.
The once peaceful Kingdom of Gorudo is threatened by an evil presence. The only hope for salvation is Cyrus, a wizard versed in a secret magic art called Wizorb! Explore many strange places from the derelict monster infested town of Clover to Gorudo Castle atop Cauldron Peak. Danger lurks around every corner so you'll need to keep your wits about you and have quick reflexes in order to survive.A dual tug at my nostalgic gaming heart, Wizorb brings an 8-bit Breakout style of gameplay with an RPG twist to your console. Not only can your paddle bounce the orb into enemies, as well as the colorful blocks you must clear from each stage, but you can also fire magic fireballs or nudge your orb to the right or left with magic air-blasts. But do not go button-mash happy with these two abilities, or you will need to collect magic potion drops to replenish these abilities to continue using them during the stage.

In a game such as this, you expect tight controls on your paddle, and Wizorb does not disappoint here. Never did I get frustrated trying to keep the orb alive, but you will have to be super quick to get every power-up drop that falls from the screen.
This game really needs to be experienced by all, as this is the perfect showcase for an Xbox Live Indie Games title. This is something that no-one would ever take a chance on making under a traditional publisher model. This game is priced on the higher side of the XBLIG spectrum, but it is worth every bit of it's 240 MSP asking price.
