Realms of Ancient War Shows Off Its Warrior Class

By Jonathan Barnes,
Kids, let's have a chat, shall we? I know all of us (without high-end PCs) would love to see Blizzard's upcoming Diablo III come to our favorite console, but we'll probably have to hold out for quite a while for that to happen. The same issue can probably be said for Torchlight 2. So what is going to scratch that itch? That hack-and-slash, loot-and-level itch that burns deep under your gamer skin worse than passing out behind a tattoo parlor in New Orleans after Mardi Gras and six hurricanes (not that I've ever done such a thing). Enter, the upcoming XBLA title from WizarBox and Focus Home Interactive.

While exact details on Realms of Ancient War have been sketchy up to this point, today the official site launched and some new details and a trailer showing off the Warrior class emerged.

The Warrior class is able to use dual blades and strike with amazing power and speed; his melee attacks are capable of hitting dozens of enemies at once. Furthermore, he has this nice little blood rage power which buffs his attacks when his health goes low.

After picking your class in Realms of Ancient War (there's also a Sorcerer and Rogue in addition to the Warrior), you will be tasked with taking on an unknown threat from which no one has returned.

In R.A.W. you'll be able to play in 2-player co-op as you gain experience, level up, and loot weapons and magic items off of the lifeless bodies that will fall in your wake.

Realms of Ancient War is now set to hit the Xbox LIVE Arcade in the second quarter of 2012.
