's returning protagonists, Kuma, is promoting the P-1 Grand Prix, a fighting program on television. His promotional videos suggest that various characters from the world of Persona 3
and Persona 4
will be taking part. The only problem is that he forgot to tell the characters that they would be taking part in this show. To find out exactly what is going on, the characters enter the world within the television.
has uncovered, players initially assume the role of Yu Narukami in the story mode, which begins with a reunion between Yu and his friends and family. Other characters that are unlockable from the start are Yosuke, Chie, and Yukiko. More characters will be unlocked as the story progresses, but the figure for the total number of playable characters still remains a closely guarded secret.
