Hitman: Absolution Voice Acting Dev Diary

By Mark Delaney, 6 years ago
There's a lot of Hitman fans that are still upset over David Bateson's departure from the series. He was the calm, calculated voice behind Agent 47 for the whole series up until https://www.trueachievements.com/Hitman-Absolution-xbox....htm. With him gone, it doesn't mean the developers are taking a break from great voice acting. Two somewhat familiar names and faces are taking their first try at video game acting with the upcoming stealth-action game.

The booming voice of Powers Boothe, famous for his work in Sin City and 24, will be behind Benjamin Travis. His ambitious secretary Jade will be voiced by the beautiful Shannyn Sossamon, of Wristcutters and Rule of Attraction fame. They each play a role in the ICA, which employs Agent 47. In the video, they discuss a lot of the fun and challenges of motion-capture acting and we're even given a sneak peek at the final cutscene.

Also released was this character profile for Benjamin Travis. It's likely we'll be seeing more of these leading up to the game's release so don't fall behind.

Hitman: Absolution is due out sometime this year, but a specific date hasn't been announced.
