Max Payne 3
isn't even going to hit store shelves for another couple of weeks, but Rockstar has decided it was time to detail their DLC plans for the game. There are going to be seven DLC packs, the first of which, the "Local Justice Map Pack", will be available in June.
Included in the "Local Justice Map Pack" will be a Police Precinct map for Gang Wars, Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch and Payne Killer multiplayer modes, in addition to two extra maps for Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch and Payne Killer. New precinct-themed multiplayer avatar items, multiplayer challenges, and other content will also be included in the DLC.
Details on the other DLC packs aren't too detailed at the moment, but we know there are six others, roughly when they'll be released, and that five are map packs and one is co-op based.
• Disorganized Crime Map Pack
• Deathmatch Made In Heaven Mode Pack
• Hostage Negotiation Map Pack
• New York Minute Co-Op Pack
• Painful Memories Map Pack
• Trickle Down Economics Map Pack
Of course, it's reasonable to ask at this point just how much all this extra content will set you back. While no pricing was given for the extra pieces of content individually, Rockstar did reveal details about Max Payne 3
's Rockstar Pass, which will include all of the above DLC. The Rockstar Pass may be pre-ordered from Best Buy
for $29.99. When it is available on Xbox LIVE, presumably around the release of the game, it will cost 2400 MSP. Rockstar promises that the pass will represent a 35% savings when all is said and done.Max Payne 3
is due out on May 15th in North America and May 18th in other markets.
