Pac-Man Kart Rally (WP)
was the most recent Windows Phone release, launching at the $4.99/£3.99 price point this past Wednesday. Fast forward to today, where the game is now marked down to $2.99/£2.29.
There's no official word behind the reduction, but it could have to do with poor reviews the game has been receiving on the marketplace, as well feedback on gaming sites and forums. Many of the complaints center around a laggy experience in addition to a dull, repetitive soundtrack. To many, this didn't equate to the initial mid-range price point for Windows Phone titles. Certainly a 40% reduction in price would increase interest and sales.
That is merely speculation though, and the price reduction could
be a mistake or only temporary. Therefore, you'll want to shop accordingly. Perhaps at this price you can convince other Windows Phone users to get the game in order to obtain the local wi-fi multiplayer achievement
