UK Deal Roundup for May 15th, 2012

By Rebecca Smith, 4 years ago
Although we get a few more sales this week, the majority only include a handful of titles. GamesCentre, Sainsburys and Zavvi start new sales, while a familiar promotion returns at TheHut and Zavvi. The random offers continue at Zavvi this week, but ASDA also gets in on the act. Discount codes are being run by Sainsburys, TheHut and Zavvi, but we don’t have any points promotions. As for weekly deals, those belong to GAME, Gamestation, Play and Shopto.

As usual you need to click on the name of the retailer or the name of the deal to be taken straight to the retailer’s offer page. Further details on the deals, including the best pick of the sale items, can be found in the ‘details here’ link, which will take you back to the relevant UK deal roundup that described the sale in more detail. Clicking on the name of a game will take you to the achievement list. All prices were correct at the time of writing.

To start off the new and weekly offers of this period, ASDA has a great offer on Kinect at the moment. Buyers can get a Kinect sensor with Kinect Adventures and Dance Central 2 for £99.

GAME’s Deals of the Week and Gamestation’s Steals of the Week continue. The only deal worth mentioning is still Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 for £27.99. GAME’s extra incentive added on to their Deals of the Week is still 400 MSP for just £1.75 if a buyer purchases any of the Xbox 360 deals of the week.

GamesCentre’s Special Offers return, but the only title worth mentioning is The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings (EU) for £34.99.

Play’s Deals of the Week see Need for Speed: The Run at £14.99 and Vanquish at £8.89.

Sainsburys is offering 20% off pre-orders of https://www.trueachievements.com/Call-of-Duty-Black-Ops....htm when the code SEGAMES1 is added at the checkout. The retailer has also started a new May Madness promotion. The titles worth picking up out of this are The Biggest Loser: Ultimate Workout at £9.99, Champion Jockey G1 Jockey & Gallop Racer at £7.99 and Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 13 Masters Collector’s Edition at £24.99.

Shopto’s Weekly Specials only see UFC Undisputed 3 at £20.86. However, their Hot Deals have a few more bargains:
Asura's Wrath - £24.85
Dragon Ball Z: Ultimate Tenkaichi - £19.85
Rise of Nightmares - £7.85
The Sims 3 Pets - £8.86

TheHut’s Super Six offers get a little eclectic this week. The first offer sees games get £5 off any game when purchased alongside any 2 pack of Duck and Cover boxers. The second offer sees 10% off football games when the code Football10 is entered at the basket. We also have two of the more conventional codes. Save £2.50 when spending at least £28 when the code MAY28 is entered at the basket. Otherwise, save £11 when spending at least £100 when the code MAY100 is entered at the basket.

TheHut and Zavvi have replenished the game selection in their 3 games for £18 promotion. The selection had gotten too small to include in last week’s roundup, but these are the games that are included now. If you only fancy one or two of these, you can mix and match with titles from other platforms:
Dreamcast Collection
Duke Nukem Forever
Le Tour de France 2011
National Geographic Quiz: Wild Life
Need for Speed: SHIFT
Rock Band Track Pack 2 (TheHut only)
SBK 2011 FIM Superbike World Championship (Zavvi only)
Yoostar 2: In The Movies

Zavvi has started a Best of British promotion. Most of the titles are expensive, but those that can’t be found cheaper elsewhere are Pro Evolution Soccer 2012 for £19.95, Virtua Tennis 4 for £9.95 and Xbox LIVE 1800 MSP UEFA Euro 2012 for £14.95.

Zavvi’s first random offer of the week still sees 10% off pre-orders of the https://www.trueachievements.com/Spec-Ops-The-Line-xbox....htm and Apocalypse Now / Apocalypse Now Redux blu-ray bundle when the code SPECOPSG is entered at the checkout. We also still have a list of random cheap games – links to these are in the prices for this list:
