Resident Evil: ORC Gets More Spec Ops [UPDATE]

By Rebecca Smith, 4 years ago
Update: The DLC achievements have now been added to Xbox.com, so you can go ahead and earn them now. If you already unlocked some of the achievements before they were added to Xbox.com, you will have to recover your profile and re-earn those achievements.

Original Story
Capcom has already released the first four spec ops missions for Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City. The first mission arrived on its own for a grand total of free, while missions 2-4 appeared at a cost of 800 MSP. The addition of achievements would have helped soften the blow of the cost of the latter pack had they been implemented properly. Lessons have not been learnt. Today sees the release of "Echo Six Expansion Pack 2" , which also adds ten new achievements worth a total of 250G; again, the achievements are yet to be added to Xbox.com.

Those of you who unlock the achievements now will notice that they are not being added to your gamerscore or achievement total. I would advise holding off from playing the DLC until the achievements are added properly. Unfortunately, those of you who unlock the achievements beforehand will have to recover your gamertag and then earn the achievements again for them to be added to your gamerscore.

Anyway, here's the DLC brief:

3 new missions. The culmination of the Spec Ops mission to find the truth behind the Raccoon City outbreak. The elite Spec Ops are closing in on Umbrella and the Umbrella Security Service squad, but new threats and challenges cause them to side track as they help other survivors including Claire Redfield and Sherry Birkin. As well as the ever present danger posed by the USS, zombies, Tyrants and Super Parasite Tyrants threaten to overwhelm you as Raccoon City descends into Hell. Missions locations include the secret Umbrella facility lab; the city hospital, the dead factory and finally a desperate fight for safe extraction from the city via rescue helicopter.
The "Echo Six Expansion Pack 2" costs 800 MSP and can be downloaded from here.
