Behind the Scenes of Disney Epic Mickey 2

Famed game designer, Warren Spector, pops up in the latest behind the scenes video for from Disney Interactive Studios.

Disney Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two is a cross-platform sequel to the 2010 Wii exclusive, Epic Mickey. It is being developed by the previous game's developer Junction Point Studios for Disney, under the guidance of the aforementioned Spector, who's previous credits include System Shock, Deus Ex, and Thief: Deadly Shadows.

This video focuses on a number of different elements and shows off some in-game footage and art work. We get to see the new drop-in-and-out co-op mechanic as players can step into the shoes of either the titular rodent or his partner-in-platforming, Oswald the Lucky Rabbit. Both characters have unique abilities that 'compliment and contrast' each other. The game also gets full speech using all the original Disney character actors and amped-up visuals, thanks to the HD capabilities of 'next-gen' consoles.

Interestingly, the video also makes a point of mentioning that the camera system, which was the main point of criticism with the previous game, has been overhauled and improved with apparently "hundreds and hundreds" of changes.
