INTERNAL MEMORANDUM

To: Hope City Police Force
From: Insp. B. Fournier
Date: May 26th, 2012
Subject: Investigation into serial killer Agent 47

By now, you will have heard the headlines about the massacre at a rooftop penthouse suite in Chicago, belonging to Richard Strong Jr., CEO of Stallion Armaments. The death toll reached 16 in what was initially believed to be a gang-related incident.

CCTV has captured the frantic rush for shelter as Strong's security guards tried to protect their charge.

26/5/12 Sniper Challenge 2

Police in Chicago no longer believe that this was a gang-related hit. Having stayed silent for so long, IO Interactive has revealed that this outrage was the inspiration for a pre-order bonus in which players take control of Agent 47 for a sniping spree. Further details can be found in this video footage recorded during police interviews with various staff members at the development studio.

We also have a still taken from the footage at a key point in the action:

26/5/12 Sniper Challenge 1

Their 'fun' representation of this grisly scene is extremely accurate, almost as if they had a witness to the actual atrocity. The conclusion drawn by Chicago P.D. is that Agent 47 is the man responsible for these deaths and that the studio has been able to gather first-hand accounts of the events. As a result, all investigations into the four incidents in Hope City are now being transferred to the charge of Chicago P.D.. Like it or not, we will be offering our full co-operation with their investigations. Please can all files relating to these four incidents be passed on to me ready for transport to our colleagues in the east.

Chicago P.D. has recommended that we familiarise ourselves with the Sniper Challenge pre-order bonus in case we will be able to pull any useful information from it. I have already dispatched an officer to our nearest GameStop store. This is likely to be the only assistance that we will get from IO Interactive until the game's release on November 20th. At least we are not the primary force responsible for catching this extremely dangerous elusive person any more.
