Microsoft Studios' Corporate VP Phil Spencer told Joystiq
that all future games from their company will feature Microsoft's patented SmartGlass
technology after it releases this fall. Therefore, we can expect blockbuster titles such as Halo 4
and others to include SmartGlass.
Spencer went on to explain that the optional SmartGlass features will serve purposes similar to that of Halo Waypoint
's Atlas app
in Halo: Reach
. Your device and the Xbox 360 will constantly share information to perform functions such as sending game invites, stat tracking, inventory control, or drawing up plays in games like Madden
. This complements the video and music components of SmartGlass shown at E3.
You'll be hearing more of all that SmartGlass has to offer leading up to its fall release.
