Games on Demand for Window LIVE was officially launched December 15th providing PC gamers the flexibility to access and play games where and whenever they want. Assuming you have a laptop that is.

“With Games on Demand, we didn’t just want to create a cut-and-paste version of existing digital distribution services,” said Mike Ybarra, general manager of LIVE Engagement Services. “We challenged ourselves to deliver an integrated platform that takes full advantage of the unique capabilities offered by the LIVE service. Our goal has always been to create a seamless online gaming experience for the Windows community, and Games on Demand is a great step toward that end.”
The impressive launch lineup includes modern classics Gears of War and Halo 2 as well newer titles such as Resident Evil 5 and Batman:AA, among others. Currently there is a 50% discount offer for both Shadowrun and Viva Piñata, but most impressive is the free download of the former exclusive Windows Vista Ultimate Extra game Tinker (PC) . Yes, that's right - FREE! That should help bring your dollars to gamer score ratio down.

If you are running Windows XP SP2, Vista or Windows 7 all you need to do is download the Games for Windows - LIVE client, which you can get to via the external link below, and you're good to go.
