NiGHTS into dreams Confirmed for XBLA

It seems SEGA has come to the realization that, even if their time as a first-party console developer ended long ago, people still hold much adoration for the games they released during those years. We've seen many classic SEGA titles see new life thanks to the power of digital download through releases such as the SEGA Vintage Collection games (such as and full-on upgrades such as the upcoming This has proved a wise strategy for the developer as it has lead to frequent cries of "Take my money!" from gamers looking to relive those long-gone moments from SEGA's more prosperous days.

SEGA seems to be ready to get gamers all excited again as they have announced their latest addition to the HD remake camp. Coming in the future to the Xbox LIVE Arcade is the well-regarded NiGHTS into dreams.


NiGHTS will feature "improved HD graphics and a 16:9 aspect ratio" and, it probably goes without saying, leaderboards and achievements. For you classicists out there, it will also include a Saturn version so you can see the game as it looked when you originally played it.

To celebrate this announcement, Sega has released several screens and a trailer.

NiGHTS into dreams is currently slated for a Fall release.
