UK Deal Roundup for July 31st, 2012

By Keith Gray, 6 years ago
As promised, we've managed to overcome previous issues and that allows the UK Deals to make their return to normality this week, albeit with yours truly taking over the mantle. As I get to grips with the deals, I'll be largely following the format which punkyliar has used since the UK Deals article began. I intend to gradually develop the format in future editions.

This week, new sales are a little thin on the ground. There are discounts available at Asda and Shopto. GAME features a couple of themed sales to spice things up! Shopto's Hot Deals evolve again. Tesco introduces a superb pre-order promotion and Zavvi rounds things off with another genre-specific sale.

Many previous sales are reiterated in the recurring sales section, with some welcome additions as well.

As always, you'll need to click on the name of the retailer or the name of the deal to be taken straight to the retailer’s offer page. Clicking on the name of a game will take you to the achievement list. All prices were correct at the time of writing and subject to change at the retailer's discretion.

New Sales:

ASDA is clearly aiming to get everyone into the Olympic spirit, being one of only two retailers to offer for less than £30. The cheapest price is £29.97 to be exact!

GAME has started an Olympics-themed £20.12 Deals promotion. However, the only title of interest is Game of Thrones (EU).

GAME also has new Pay Day Deals including:
• Limited Edition Star Wars 320GB Console (including two chrome controllers) with Kinect peripheral and – £269.99
• 12 month Xbox Live Gold Membership, 800 MSP and Kinect peripheral - £109.99
• Kinect peripheral, and - £99.99

Shopto’s Hot Deals have changed yet again this week, providing some of the best prices around: (Collector's Edition) - £16.85 (Komplete Edition) - £18.85 - £11.86 - £9.85

Tesco has started a promotion where pre-ordering titles over £25 will qualify for a 15% discount. Follow the instructions on the promotion page and enter discount code 15PREORDER at the checkout. Although the pre-order prices are subject to change, the following upcoming blockbusters are included in the offer: - £37.84 - £39.91 - £35.99 - £37.94

Tesco is also having a Warehouse Clearance, but for £14.75 is the only title worth a mention.

Tesco is running a promotional offer on figures. 3 figures for the price of 2, with individual items priced at £7.96 each.

Zavvi has started a promotion on Driving/Racing games. The best of the trailblazers are:
DiRT 3 (Complete Edition) - £14.95 - £22.95 - £6.95 - £19.95
Split/Second - £14.95 (or equivalent to £12.50, if purchased as one half of the 2 games for £25 offer) - £14.95

Another Zavvi promotion sees titles in The Sims franchise get some love! The Sims 3 is priced at £14.95.
