There’s still a fair wait until the Assassin’s Creed Shadows achievements arrive with the game’s launch on November 15, but Ubisoft has shared a new in-depth look at the Assassin’s Creed Shadows gameplay which will help tide us over for a bit.

Assassin's Creed Shadows shares extended gameplay walkthrough

The gameplay above covers everything from exploring Fukuchiyama to the samurai combat we’ll see with Yasuke and the stealth abilities we’ll have with Naoe (the game's dual protagonists), and was accompanied by a detailed breakdown from game director Charles Benoit and art director Thierry Dansereau, which you can check out below.

There are a lot of new features and changes with Assassin’s Creed Shadows. One aspect briefly highlighted in the gameplay was the dynamic seasons and weather. According to Ubisoft, this will do more than make for a nice change of pace as you charge around feudal Japan. For instance, moving around at night will help hide Naoe; “doubly so when the rain picks up and muffles her sounds. Because the mission takes place in the spring, she is able to hide in bushes and sneak underwater through a pond — but in the winter, the pond would be frozen, the bushes wouldn't have the leaves to hide her, and the snow would reveal her footsteps.”

There's a lot to look forward to with the next Assassin's Creed game, and you can find out more in our round-up of everything we know about Assassin's Creed Shadows.
