Control: Ultimate Edition's PlayStation-exclusive mission is finally coming to Xbox. The mission, which was only included in the PS4 version of the game and features Hideo Kojima will be added in an upcoming update, and while it likely won't include any new Control: Ultimate Edition achievements, you may want to play through what we think is one of the best Xbox games again, to see what this exclusive content is all about.

PS4-exclusive Control mission with voice over from Hideo Kojima coming to Xbox soon

  • The Dr. Yoshimi Tokui’s Guided Imagery Experience mission, which was exclusive to the PS4 version of Control, will be added to Control: Ultimate Edition on Xbox soon
  • The update is out now on PC and is coming to Xbox Series X|S in the "near future"
  • Three former pre-order exclusive outfits will also be added with the update
As announced by Remedy, the new Control: Ultimate Edition update, which will be coming to Xbox Series X|S in the "near future," brings a PS4-exclusive mission that could only be played if you picked up the PS4 Digital Deluxe version of the game to Xbox.

The mission, which is called Dr. Yoshimi Tokui's Guided Imagery Experience, has Jesse hunt down Guided Imagery tapes before hopping into a sensory deprivation tank to experience what they offer. It's a relatively short mission, but it does add some unique gameplay. Interestingly, Dr Tokui is voiced by none other than Hideo Kojima.

When this mission eventually does arrive on Xbox, Remedy says it is playable when you pick up the Dr Tokui Tapes collectible in the Extrasensory Lab of the Research Sector.

The update will also add the Astral Dive Suit, Tactical Response Gear, and Urban Response Gear, all of which are former pre-order cosmetics, and make several fixes. You can view the PC patch notes on the Control website.

Will you be returning to Control: Ultimate Edition to check out this mission? Let us know down in the comments! If you're a Game Pass subscriber yet to play Control, it's one of the best Game Pass games out there and is definitely worth a play.
