Achievements are great for showcasing your commitment to a game, but there are some you might not want to show off. Here are ten embarrassing Xbox achievements.

We love collecting Xbox achievements at TrueAchievements. They're fun to chase after, and while we've seen developers use the achievement system for creative ways to entice players to explore their games, sometimes you'll come across an achievement that is, maybe, a little unsavory, or perhaps there to simply troll you. Here are some of the most embarrassing Xbox achievements, but please be warned, they do include spoilers.

Still Wakes the Deep — McLeery

Still Wakes the Deep may be designed to fill you with fear as you drastically attempt to survive aboard an offshore oil rig in the North Sea, but developer The Chinese Room still found a way to inject some humor into its fantastic horror game. For the most part, your time with this first-person horror game will be spent sweating your way through tight corridors as a storm rages outside and something sinister hunts you down, but at least you can have a little chuckle before things heat up.

The McLeery achievement's description says you need to "Spend too much time in the shower room," which seems innocent enough, right? Well, once you reach said shower room, you'll find a naked man enjoying a nice shower, who you need to stand behind for up to five minutes to unlock the achievement. McLeery, indeed.

Lollipop Chainsaw — I Swear! I Did It By Mistake!

While the achievement above steps away from the game's main theme, this Lollipop Chainsaw achievement is one that will raise a few eyebrows. Lollipop Chainsaw is a hack & slash treat for all zombie fans, offering up a colorful, and often times hilarious zombie-slaying slice of fun rocked by a banging soundtrack.

The I Swear! I Did It By Mistake! achievement in Lollipop Chainsaw worth 12 pointsPeeped under Juliet's skirt once.

To unlock that I Swear! I Did It By Mistake! achievement, you'll need to have "Peeped under Juliet's skirt once." It's one of the first achievements you can unlock in the game, requiring you to swing the camera down behind Juliet, who will then understandably move her hand to obstruct your view.

High on Life — Spent 15 Hours At The Alien Strip Club

High on Life is yet another game to fully embrace over-the-top humor, which is understandable considering it came from the mind of Rick and Morty co-creator, Justin Roiland. If you've ever watched the Adult Swim show, you'll have already been acquainted with the style of humor found in High on Life. Talking alien guns, frequent cussing, and even an achievement for shooting a child (who later turns out to be an adult) because "Fallout Doesn't Let You Do This." Yep, High on Life is a wild ride indeed, and its achievement list reflects that.

While the previous achievement is a bit on the nose in its own right, the Spent 15 Hours At The Alien Strip Club is a wonderful troll move from Squanch Games. The achievement's description tells anyone who looks at your unlock that you "Spend 15 hours at the very real in-game alien strip club," which is far from true. You actually unlock this reputation-smearing achievement by killing one of the game's bosses, in his office, and some weird psychedelic shrinking world... but no strip clubs are involved!

Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty - Master Collection Version — Snake Beater

The Metal Gear Solid series may follow protagonist Solid Snake on world-saving missions, but Konami has always found a way to fit some quirky humor into its many games. In Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty, which was first released on the PS2 in 2001 but has since seen multiple Xbox releases, Solid Snake is sent to Big Shell, an offshore clean-up facility under the control of terrorists. As is expected from the series, Snake must infiltrate the facility using stealth and subterfuge to destroy the group before they can destroy the facility, causing a cataclysmic environmental disaster.

The Snake Beater achievement found in Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty
- Master Collection Version, as well as the Metal Gear Solid: HD Collection, injects some crass fun into the somewhat serious story you're playing through. To unlock this one, the description tells us that we need to "Get caught by Otacon stimulating yourself," and it's just as inappropriate as you might expect. During the opening portion of the game, you come across a locker room, two of which contain posters of women inside of them. While looking at the posters, you need to call your team at Otacon, who'll then question if Snake has nothing better to do. With that, you'll unlock the achievement in exchange for some of your dignity.

Dead Rising 2: Off the Record — Adult Content

The Dead Rising series has always been the go-to experience for players looking for a funny, over-the-top romp in the zombie apocalypse, and Dead Rising 2: Off the Record continues that trend. Dropping us back into the shoes of zombie-slaughtering badass and photojournalist Frank West, Off the Record tells another story of Fortune City's fall to the zombie hordes, swapping the sequel's protagonist Chuck Greene for the return of Frank West — and his hilariously comical shenanigans.

The Adult Content achievement in Dead Rising 2: Off The Record worth 40 pointsTake an extremely erotic picture.

To unlock the Adult Content achievement you will need to take "an extremely erotic picture." Knowing what you'll be getting up to for this one, the developers have gone as far to troll you a little, adding the following sign off in the achievement's description: "If your mother knew about this." The photo needs to be worth at least 1,000 erotica Prestige Points, which can be achieved by taking a photo of a semi-naked female survivor. However, there is a slightly less embarrassing (and much easier) way to get the achievement, and that's by taking a photo of four alien 'probes' in the Uranus Zone. Upon successfully getting the snap you'll unlock the achievement, as well as a ton of erotica Prestige Points (the game's experience system). Yes, it really does go that deep.

Family Guy: Back to the Multiverse — Pervert

The Family Guy TV show has no issue with becoming inappropriate at any given chance, and the game follows bravely in its footsteps. Family Guy: Back to the Multiverse, now delisted from the Xbox store, follows Stewie Griffin and Brian as they attempt to save the town of Quahog from annihilation at the hands of the evil Bertram. The duo travels across the multiverse, and the many wacky scenarios it throws at them, to take down Bertram's forces.

The Pervert achievement in Family Guy: Back to the Multiverse worth 16 pointsHang around the room with Quagmire in a baby costume for 30 seconds

Skipping along in-tune with the series wild antics, Family Guy: Back to the Multiverse includes the Pervert achievement — "You hung around the room with Quagmire in a baby costume for 30 seconds." While you'd likely think Herbert would be involved with such an achievement, we're instead meeting up with Mr Giggity himself, Quagmire, in the No Cheese, Please level. To unlock the achievement, you need to find Quagmire sitting on a bed and stand in front of him for 30 seconds. Easy, if not a bit awkward.

Duke Nukem Forever — Turd Burglar

Duke Nukem Forever sees the titular character return for another explosive battle against an alien threat, offering a run-and-gun, 80s action hero experience. Filled with cheesy quips, all-guns-blazing action, and a horde of aliens to fill with lead, it's a fairly fun experience, and with the addition of goofy mechanics like the ability to stop for a pee, it never takes itself seriously.

While Duke Nukem Forever's biggest joke is the 15-year wait between its announcement and launch, its gameplay is crammed full of adult humor, strip clubs, and pop culture references. While many of the achievements on this list feature sexualized content, the Turd Burglar achievement, as the name suggests, asks you to "Find and steal a piece of poo." Yep, for this one you'll need to find a toilet cubicle with a floater, which you then pick up, and if you so wish, throw it across the room. Why not?

Yakuza 0 — ... I Did It for the Achievement

Following its PlayStation launch in 2015, Yakuza 0 made its way to Xbox in 2020. If you've played any of the Yakuza games, or even caught a glimpse of a trailer, you'll likely be aware of just how absolutely wild these games can get. Set in a fictionalized version of Tokyo, Yakuza 0 sees us fighting with various Yakuza factions for control of territory, but there is always time for some antics on the side. Side-quests, fully playable Sega Arcade games, mini-games, and more are available to you between the constant fighting, offering a selection of strange, yet fun activities.

One of the many side activities available to you in Yakuza 0 is the ability to watch a host of adult videos after meeting specific in-game requirements. For the "I Did It for the Achievement," well, achievement, you'll need to "Watch a racy video." Simple as that. Well, if you don't mind anyone looking at your achievement list knowing you've been watching filth, of course.

Asura's Wrath — View of the Valley

Asura's Wrath is an action game following the titular character's path of revenge as he attempts to take down the pantheon of demigods who betrayed him. It had some fantastic action sequences and gameplay that would blend with its cinematics for quick-time events and third-person combat. The story plays out much like an interactive anime series as we watch Asura's rage slowly consume him, turning him into a demon.

While Asura's Wrath is an action-packed thrill ride, developer CyberConnect2 didn't miss the opportunity to slot in some raunchier anime themes for some extra fun. The View of the Valley achievement is just one example of that raunchier side, which asks that you "Continue to stare at the hot spring attendant's assets." Just like it sounds, for this achievement you need to ogle at a lady's chest until she eventually folds her arms. Her eyes are up there!

Fable 2 — The Menace to Society

The Fable franchise has long been celebrated for its fantastic use of a morality system, which would slowly alter your character's appearance depending on how far between good and bad you had become. It was a great system, pushing us to think about the consequences of our actions — or not, in some cases. With achievements tasking you with kicking chickens, marrying two NPCs, killing innocent rabbits, getting into bed with two people, and more, it's clear that Lionhead Studios was happy to put the decision-making in your own hands.

The The Menace To Society achievement in Fable II worth 8 pointsCommit an act of public indecency, or see another Hero commit one.

While the achievements above are good fun, The Menace to Society achievement turns things up to eleven, even if the description doesn't sound too absurd: "You, or a friend, committed an act of public indecency. Oh, the shame of it." Sure, an act of public indecency doesn't sound too bad, right? Wrong. What you need to do for this achievement is purchase a book called "The Perv's Handbook - Vulgar Thrust" to learn the Vulgar Thrust expression. With your new move equipped, it's time to strip down to your birthday suit and begin thrusting at townsfolk until you offend someone. It's certainly an imaginative achievement, that's for sure.
