If you've been following Heidi's interviews with developer Slow Bros, we're pleased to say that the day you can start unlocking the Harold Halibut achievements on console and PC has arrived. The handcrafted adventure game was already on our list of upcoming Game Pass games, but surprisingly, four games join Game Pass today, as EA shadow dropped three classic PC games into EA Play early this morning, which Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers can play via your subscription.

Xbox Game Pass and Game Pass Ultimate members can play four games today

Players on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC can finally play the highly anticipated Harold Halibut via Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass, while Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers can also stream it via Xbox Cloud Gaming. Slow Bros' choice to blend gameplay with stop-motion technology using handmade models has had us excited to dive into Harold Halibut's mysterious adventure for a while now, so we're pleased to see it make its debut.

If you're unfamiliar with this interesting-looking game, Harold Halibut is a narrative adventure game that puts you in the shoes of the titular character living in a "city-sized spaceship submerged in an alien ocean." Halibut is a lab assistant on the ship, aiding the lead scientist in attempting to re-launch the vessel from the ocean depths to find a new home, and he might just find the answer when exploring the strange retro-future world.

As for the three shadow-dropped PC games, Populous: The Beginning, Sid Meir's Alpha Centauri, and Sim City 3000 Unlimited have all joined EA Play on PC. Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members can access the games via the Game Pass app on PC but be aware that none of them support Xbox achievements. Still, that's three more classic games to play without paying a penny extra, so definitely worth checking them out if you haven't already — or return for a good nostalgia hit!
