Two Grand Theft Auto V achievements on Xbox One have been saved from being discontinued. Rockstar has changed the requirements of two GTA 5 Xbox achievements after sunsetting the Rockstar Editor in the open-world game.

Last month, it was announced that Rockstar was shutting down the Rockstar Editor for the Xbox One version of GTA 5 on February 20, which could have discontinued several achievements. Thankfully, the developer later clarified this, saying the achievements would remain unlockable following the mode's removal. Now, we can see what Rockstar has done to keep those achievements alive.

Rockstar has updated the requirements for two achievements: Vinewood Visionary and Majestic. For Vinewood Visionary, you previously had to create and export a video using the Rockstar Editor. This can now be unlocked by "entering Director Mode five times."

As for Majestic, the previous requirements asked you to create and export ten videos using the Rockstar Editor. Now, all you need to do to pop the achievement is "enter Director Mode ten times."

It's not often that developers will update a game's achievements to stop them from being discontinued. I'm sure it would have been easy for Rockstar to completely ignore this issue, but for them to take the time out and make it so all the GTA 5 Xbox One achievements (and also all the achievements in the Japanese stack) will remain unlockable for future players must be commended.

In other GTA news, Rockstar says it is striving for "perfection" before releasing GTA 6.
