If you're diving after the Senua's Saga: Hellblade II achievements you'll likely already have noticed how excellent it's proving to be (Sean definitely thought so in his Hellblade 2 review!), and following the launch of the sequel, Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice has seen a 52% increase in Xbox players following the sequel's launch.

Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice sees big boost in Xbox players following Hellblade 2's launch

It's no surprise that a highly anticipated game like Hellblade 2 (which had long been one of our most anticipated upcoming Xbox exclusives) might prompt a return to the game which started it all, especially since the sequel, while excellent, is still a shorter experience. Our latest gameplay chart shows Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice just making it back into the top 40 following the launch of the sequel last week — a modest move in terms of the top 40, perhaps, but one which still represents a very respectable 52% increase in Xbox player numbers. It continues a trend of resurging player numbers for the first game, which according to our data saw a 40% increase in Xbox players in the week before Hellblade 2's launch.

If you are taking on the Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice achievements, don't forget that the game is one of the quick completions you can tackle through Game Pass. It's a hugely popular game in its own right, and sits here on TrueAchievements with a 4.14/5 rating, so is definitely worth a look if all the Hellblade 2 hype has got you curious.

If you're looking ahead to what else might be on the horizon, don't forget to check out our list of all the upcoming Game Pass games!

Xbox Gameplay Chart data is compiled using data from over 2.4 million active Xbox accounts (not just TrueAchievements accounts). Chart information is copyright Game Insights. Regarding this data:
  • When an account opens a game, this is registered as a game being played. Accounts can only register a game once per week.
  • Our data is good for suggesting general trends — we represent this using percentages, not numbers.
