For those hoping to earn all of the Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 achievements using the $1 Game Pass deal, Microsoft is one step ahead of you. Microsoft has removed the $1 Xbox Game Pass trial ahead of the Xbox first-person shooter joining the subscription service.

$1 Game Pass trial removed from Xbox website

As spotted by CharlieIntel, the 14-day Xbox Game Pass Ultimate trial for new subscribers has been quietly removed from the Xbox website, and only the full-priced subscription options for Core, Standard, Ultimate, and PC Game Pass remain.

Microsoft yanks $1 Xbox Game Pass deal ahead of Call of Duty Blacks Ops 6 release

The move is pretty unsurprising and makes complete sense from a business perspective — Microsoft doesn't want players to speed through the Black Ops 6 campaign on the $1 Game Pass deal. We also saw Microsoft pull the trial back in August 2023, just days ahead of Starfield's launch. It's likely the deal will return once all the Black Ops 6 hype calms down.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 launches on October 25 for Xbox consoles and PC and joins Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass on day one. If you're new to the series and want to dive into the games that came before Black Ops 6, be sure to check out our Call of Duty games in order article which lists how to play through the series both in chronological and release order.
