We all know by now that the majority of games don't stay in Xbox Game Pass forever — even some of the best Xbox Game Pass games do eventually leave the service. Most games tend to stick around in Game Pass for periods of 12, 18, 24, and sometimes 36 months or longer before they're given the boot, and with that in mind, we've produced a list of games that could leave Xbox Game Pass in July 2024.

12 months

Most titles that join Xbox Game Pass only stay for 12 months before getting the boot. Here are all the games that landed in the service in July 2023.
July 2023 was a big month for Game Pass, with games such as Venba, Exoprimal, Toem, and The Wandering Village all joining the service. Next month, we could see some of these greats leave, so you might want to start working through the achievement lists for these games now. It's also worth noting here that Common'hood currently has three unobtainable achievements, so if you care about your completion percentage, you may want to skip this one.

18 months

While it's not as common, we do sometimes see titles drop out of Game Pass after 18 months. The titles listed below all joined Game Pass in January 2023.
January is usually a quiet month for Game Pass, so not many third-party games joined the service. However, we could be about to lose both Monster Hunter Rise and Stranded Deep next month. Interestingly, Monster Hunter Rise has just been announced as a PS Plus addition for June, which may hint that the action RPG will soon depart Game Pass.

24 months

It's also not unusual for games to leave Game Pass after 24 months, so here are all the games that remain in the service after joining in July 2022.
It's possible that we could lose excellent games such as Watch_Dogs 2, Far Cry 5, Yakuza 0, Yakuza Kiwami 1&2, and, of course, My Friend Peppa Pig in July. This would be a big loss, so hopefully, Microsoft and the publishers of these games have struck a Game Pass deal that's longer than two years.

48 months

Now we come to the Game Pass games that are still in the service after after a whopping four years, and according to our data, there are just two games to worry about.
The eagle-eyed amongst you may have noticed that we've skipped over the three-year mark. This is because no games that aren't first-party titles, Game Pass Core games, or EA Play games joined Game Pass back in July 2021.

60 months

Middle-earth: Shadow of War

Finally, we come to the Xbox Game Pass reliable, the games that have stuck around in the service for an incredible five years. The two games listed below joined the service way back in July 2019.
While it seems unlikely that these games could drop out of the service, you never know! If you're thinking about checking out either of these two games, we do have walkthroughs available for both.
