If you're yet to play Ascendant Studios' magic FPS for the Immortals of Aveum achievements, it joins Xbox Game Pass Ultimate via EA Play as one of today's Xbox Game Pass new additions. As for the second game, EA Sports NHL 24 joined the service in April, but can now be streamed via Xbox Cloud Gaming.

Alongside EA Sports NHL 24 getting Xbox Cloud Gaming support, Immortals of Aveum also joins Xbox Game Pass Ultimate via EA Play on Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Cloud. While it had a few performance troubles at launch, Ascendant has rolled out a host of updates for it since launch, and in my opinion, it's a great debut game from a new studio.

Immortals of Aveum is a single-player FPS which replaces guns for magical powers. It follows Jak, a fresh-faced recruit in an order of battlemages called the Immortals. Jak's home world is on the brink of destruction from the devastation caused by an Everwar, with its only hope resting on the shoulders of the young battlemage, who must uncover the mysteries of the past to end the war and hopefully save the planet from its imminent destruction.

If you're looking to dive into this colorful shooter, estimates suggest that it'll take between 30 and 35 hours to unlock all 47 achievements. Be aware that there are a host of missable achievements for talking to several people, so we recommend that you check out the achievement list before joining the Everwar.

It's a busy month for Xbox Game Pass subscribers, as 11 game will join Game Pass in the second half of May, while six games will leave on May 31.
