Most popular Xbox games — Diablo 4 expansion boosts it back into top 15

Our latest gameplay chart of popular Xbox games sees new Game Pass games breaking into the top 40, while Diablo 4 is on the rise thanks to its latest expansion.

New Diablo 4 achievements with the Vessel of Hatred expansion have clearly been enough to tempt players back in droves, as our latest Xbox gameplay chart shows Diablo 4 leaping up from 21st to 12th.

The top ten is almost entirely unchanged except for Destiny 2, which has moved up six places to tenth, perhaps as a result of being included with Free Play Days over the weekend. The next big change is Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO, which makes its first appearance at 16th after launching several days ago. Starfield, which saw a big increase in players after the arrival of its Shattered Space expansion, has now had a substantial fall, dropping 11 places to 21st. Then we have another new appearance with recent Game Pass addition Mad Streets at 24th, followed by another recent Game Pass get, Inscryption, at 27th. Baldur's Gate 3, meanwhile, re-joined the top 40 last week after its latest Xbox update, but has fallen again this week, dropping to 30th. It's a wave of falling games after Inscryption, in fact, with only Sea of Thieves and Forza Motorsport holding their places at 32nd and 33rd, with Battlefield 2042 dropping four places to round up the chart at 40th.

We have next week's chart to go before Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 arrives, which will no doubt storm up the top 40, but there are a fair few upcoming Game Pass games arriving over the next few months which could also cause some major changes.
