It seems everyone has been only too happy for an excuse to charge through the Spyro Reignited Trilogy achievements now it's in Game Pass, and thanks to that boost, Spyro has charged almost straight into the top ten of our latest Xbox gameplay chart, re-joining the top 40 at 11th.

There is the usual shuffle to make room for this reappearance, and the next more noticeable change is Halo Infinite dropping from 12th to 16th — perhaps players who returned to the game for its big winter update are now moving on to other things. Further down, we have Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine II making a respectable leap from 27th to 23rd. It did have a patch and community event recently last week, but its next free Xbox update shouldn't be too far off either, so players might be preparing for that.

Death Stranding Director's Cut has moved up six places to 27th, but it's not such good news for Dragon Age: The Veilguard, which has fallen four spots to 28th. Goat Simulator: Remastered has also seen a drop, falling five places to 30th. Dragon Age: The Veilguard was one of the biggest releases for the end of 2024, so it's interesting to see it lose the ground it gained in last week's chart. Goat Sim Remastered joined Game Pass over a week ago, so it might simply be the usual case of players moving onto newer Game Pass additions. Baldur's Gate 3, Starfield, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition, and Warframe are all up, although Stardew Valley has dropped three places to 37th. We have two more reappearances, too, with Madden NFL 24 at 39th and Call of Duty: Black Ops III at 40th.

Looking ahead, we have some major upcoming Game Pass games arriving this week with Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 and the long-awaited Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl, as well as the arrival of Genshin Impact on Xbox. It'll be a busy week for major releases, and so we can hopefully look forward to some big changes on next week's chart.
