Xbox Game Pass players at last had the chance to hunt down all the Diablo 4 achievements when it joined the service late last month — a big get for Game Pass, not just as an Activision Blizzard game, but one of the best Xbox RPGs out there. It seems this Xbox Game Pass addition has been just as much a boost for the game as you might expect, as according to Xbox president Sarah Bond, joining Game Pass helped Xbox become the "number one platform" for Diablo 4.

Xbox president Sarah Bond says Xbox is the "number one platform" for Diablo 4

This all comes from emails between Bond and her team, as reported by Windows Central, who also received confirmation from Microsoft that these emails are correct.

"We are integrating Activision Blizzard King titles into our services — we launched Diablo IV into Game Pass, and Xbox has quickly become the #1 platform for D4 players," Bond said, before adding, "We are integrating with Battle.net, all while launching CoD: Warzone Mobile and preparing for the upcoming Hellblade II, Avowed, and Indiana Jones and the Great Circle."

The content of these emails also covers Bond's congratulations for her team's "collective achievements," before discussing how they're "moving full speed ahead on our next generation hardware, focused on delivering the biggest technological leap ever in a generation." Other topics include how Bond's team is "innovating in Gaming AI, focused on delivering player-first, developer-first value for discovery, engagement, and creator velocity," before Bond moves on to address game preservation and how Microsoft is "committed to bringing forward the amazing library of Xbox games for future generations of players to enjoy."

It was also from Bond that we heard new figures of Xbox Game Pass having 34 million subscribers, when Microsoft confirmed Diablo 4 for Game Pass in February's Official Xbox Podcast episode.

Our gameplay charts often show how Game Pass gives a boost to its new additions. When it comes to Diablo 4, our latest chart shows Diablo 4 rocketing back into the top ten. It was an especially big get for Game Pass as it was the first big Acti Blizz game to join the service following Microsoft's acquisition. Following that, we've got a whole list of upcoming Game Pass games which could all cause some chaos in the top 40 too.
