Vote now for March 2022's TA Playlist game

By The TA Playlist Team,
As you explore the beautiful underwater city of Rapture in the TA Playlist game for February, BioShock Remastered, would you kindly stop by and place your votes for next month?

For March, we're hyping up the recent news that Activision/Blizzard is due to be acquired by Microsoft. We have chosen four games from Activision's catalogue for March's TA Playlist game.
Which game is going to get your vote?

Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time

Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time

Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time is a platforming game developed by Toys for Bob and originally released in 2020 after the N-Sane Trilogy successfully appeared on Xbox

As always, you play as the eponymous bandicoot himself, mostly, who's on a mission through time and space to defeat Uka-Uka. The fiendish mask tried to free Neo Cortex and Nefarious Tropy, but instead managed to rip a hole in the fabric of space and time. Using a handful of new mechanics bestowed upon you by the Quantum Masks, you must travel through numerous times and places in order to defeat your enemy.

Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time holds a high 4.32 out of 5.00 rating here on TA, and a full completion would require 60-80 hours of your time. It's been started by just over 23,000 site users and completed by a mere 230 (around 1%).

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered

Modern Warfare Remastered screenshot

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered is the second nomination. It is a classic first-person shooter game and was developed by Infinity Ward and was released back in 2017. Of course, the original edition of the game was released way back in 2007.

In CoD: Modern Warfare, you play mostly as Sergeant John "Soap" MacTavish, who's recruited by Captain Price in order to fight battles on two fronts; one against Imran Zakhaev and his Russian ultranationalist soldiers and another against Khaled Al-Asad and his troops in an unnamed Middle Eastern country. The stakes are high as your race to stop both leaders and the destructive plans.

Modern Warfare Remastered currently holds an amazing 4.43/5.00 community rating on TA and has been started by over 124,000 members, with the original Xbox 360 version sitting at over 347,000 members. 17% have completed the remastered Modern Warfare, with 17% also having completed the 360 version. It'll take you a projected 15-20 hours to complete.

As always, if Modern Warfare wins, popping an achievement in any edition of the game will count towards playlist participation. This includes the original game and remastered game.

Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice

Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice is the penultimate choice for March. Developed by FromSoftware and originally released in 2019, it is an action-adventure (or Soulsborne) game, with gameplay along a similar vein to many of the other games developed by FromSoftware, such as Dark Souls.

Sekiro is set 20 years after the rise of the Ashina Empire. You play as a character known only as Wolf, an orphan trained in the ways of the shinobi. Wolf is tasked with protecting Kuro, a young lord of mysterious lineage with whom he was separated after being left for dead, as the land of the Ashina begins to fall to its enemies.

The game differs from its predecessors in that there are no multiplayer elements, and rather than focussing on whittling down the health of an enemy boss, you can use your katana and some expert posture & balance to defeat enemies in a single hit with a perfect strike. It also has a great deal more stealth options available, if you're that way inclined.

Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice currently sits at a great community rating of 4.58/5.00 on TA. Over 68,000 people have played it, and over 5,700 have completed it (around 8%).
The completion should take you an estimated 60-80 hours, and there is an excellent walkthrough on-site for all your achievement needs!

Tony Hawk Pro Skater 1+2

Tony Hawk's Pro Skater Remaster

Our fourth and final pick is the classic skateboarding game Tony Hawk Pro Skater 1+2 which was developed by Vicarious Visions and Neversoft and released in 2020.

Tony Hawk is well known at this stage, and these remasters of the first two entries into the Pro Skater series are exactly what you expect; a game based around skateboarding played in third-person with where the goal of most modes of the game is to achieve a high score or collect certain objects. To score points, successfully execute aerials, flips, grinds, lips, and manuals or combinations of the above.

Tony Hawk Pro Slater 1+2 is sitting at a community rating of 4.55/5.00 on TA with over 56,800 players, with only 1% having completed it (a mere 410 people). It is the longest game nominated for this month, with an estimated completion time of 100-120 hours.

Let us know which of these highly-rated Activision games is your favourite, and vote on the one you'd like us all to be playing next month.

The TA Playlist is a monthly community event. Everyone votes on which of four games to play, and then we all play through it in the following month. There's a dedicated hub to discuss everything about the game, from story beats to gameplay tips – and of course, you can track your achievement progress during the month as well. TA Playlist was created by Mark Delaney and is now run by Miles, Nici and Chewie.
