Vote now for June 2022's TA Playlist game By The TA Playlist Team, 10 May 2022 FollowtopicsTA PlaylistCommunity eventThe TA Playlist Team As you spend May exploring the cruel black & white world of the current TA Playlist game, Limbo, it is time to decide the game that will be played by the community in June.We very recently saw the end of the most recent Great TrueAchievements Score Challenge (GTASC) after 25 weeks of some insane GS earning. As such, we are honouring the winners of the Team GTASC and the third palace winner for the individual GTASC (as those in both first and second were also a part of the winning team).Big congratulations to JimbotUK, Infamous and PRTM CLUESCROL for winning the team GTASC, as part of “Is This Team Casually Winning?”, as well as nuttywray for coming third behind Infamous and PRTM CLUESCROL in the individual GTASC.Each winner nominated a game or two and we have chosen from those nominations. These are:UnsouledKicking off our list is a game that was nominated by Infamous. They said “Hard not to choose this one after the massive boost it gave me in the final week of GTASC, really fun but challenging hack and slash with one of the best parrying systems I've ever seen in a game. It's pretty short (~8-10 hours) but has some decent replayability, especially if going for the completion which is more ~30 hours depending on skill. Great game and it's made by a single developer, deserves all the attention it can get!” Unsouled is a hack ’n’ slash game developed by Megusta Games and was originally released at the end of 2021. In it, you play as a Fallen Prince who must venture across bleak landscapes in order to learn about the encroaching darkness. You must fight your way through interactive environments and encounters as you unravel the mysteries behind a world filled with the undead. Unsouled holds a 2.89 out of 5.00 rating here on TA and can be completed in around 30 hours. It’s been started by nearly 5,500 people, with just one person to have completed it (Infamous himself). It was made available on Xbox Game Pass very recently.Katamari Damacy RerollKatamari Damacy Reroll is our second nomination. It is developed by Monkeycraft and Bandai Namco and was released back in late 2020 (although the original version of the game was released on PS2 back in 2004). It was nominated by PRTM CLUESCROL who said “Charming, humourous and very fun, this game will rope you in quick with its addictive (in my opinion) gameplay. An insanely good soundtrack and full of personality. Rolling all items might look extremely daunting but it's honestly a full roll around the entire time.”In Katamari Damacy Reroll, the concept behind the game is simple. Roll a sticky ball (a katamari) around a variety of areas on Earth in order to collect everything, from the smallest little pin all the way up to skyscrapers, mountains and clouds. You play as the tiny prince, son to the King of All Cosmos, who accidentally destroys a number of constellations and even the Moon itself. As you collect items on Earth, you must reach a specific size ball in order to replace the constellations that your father destroyed.Katamari Damacy Reroll currently holds a 3.79/5.00 community rating and is expected to take 20-25 hours to complete. For the completion, you need to collect one of every item, for which there is a great tracking spreadsheet. It is currently available on Xbox Game Pass and if it wins, you can unlock and achievement in either stack of the game to count towards participation.I Am FishOur third choice is I Am Fish. Developed by Bossa Studios and released in 2021, I Am Fish is an action game nominated by JimbotUK, who said “This is a bizarre, over-the-top tale of a quartet of fish who eat sentient bread (which you might remember from I Am Bread) which awakens human-like sentience and intelligence in them. Naturally, they use this to wreak havoc on their human overlords and absolutely destroy entire towns.I found I Am Fish to be a challenging, entertaining ride that had me laughing, cursing at seagulls, and occasionally sobbing uncontrollably on the carpet.” I Am Fish is billed as the sequel to I Am Bread, in which you play as either Goldfish, Pufferfish, Flying Fish or Piranha in their efforts to reunite with each other, travelling across Barnardshire, leaving no bowl unturned as they go.I Am Fish has a 2.64/5.00 rating on TA. A grand total of 0% (23 people) of the game’s almost 41,500 players have completed it, with the completion expected to take 40-50 hours. You can currently find it on Xbox Game Pass.DescendersOur final pick for this month is Descenders, a sports/cycling game developed by RageSquid and released back in 2019. It was nominated by nuttywray who said “Such a crazy fun cycling game. Don’t be scared of the title update ratio. The fact that every time you do the career mode the races are different due to the nature of the game. It randomly generates every level so each time the level is different. Plus there is loads more bike tracks to play and try you have a fun ride (no pun intended).”Descenders doesn’t have much of a storyline. Instead, it revolves around a series of downhill mountain biking challenges which put you into different procedurally generated environments. In each level, you race on a downward course, having to perform increasingly difficult tricks and hops in order to complete the course with as few wipeouts as possible.Descenders has a 3.315.00 rating on TA. Including all the DLC episodes, it can be completed in 70-85 hours, with only 76 people of the site’s 90,000 players having done just that.Let us know which of these four tougher games you’d pick to play for June’s TA Playlist and once again, a massive congratulations to all those who won in GTASC!Which game should the community play for June 2022's TA Playlist?
