The above method will work, but if you have a little patience this is what I did.
Using a team that has shooters with good accuracy, Pittsburgh as an example, setup a five round shootout on rookie and face a team with weak goaltending, like an ECHL team.
Set the difficulty to rookie and because it's a shootout you don't have to worry about defenders.
Skate to the shooters off hand side and skate in, click LB then hold Down R3, glide in and when close to the goalie(not to close or you will get poke checked) aim and fire your shot to the open side. Usually the goalie gives quite an opening when doing this.
It took me five or six tries but the achievement popped during the replay of the goal.
