Run or walk at daytime through any desert like the Great Sand Sea territory to trigger a random hallucination. Run or walk through the desert until the right hallucination appears. The raining bugs hallucination is very rare, so you may need a while.

UNDEADSPYR0You don't have to run, I got it whilst standing still in Iment Nome after the prologue, luckily it was actually my first hallucination!

Cheva1ierThe hallucinations, or something, seemed to keep my game active, so I walked into a desert until I saw a hallucination and then I left my guy standing there and went to bed...woke up several hours later with the achievement and my xbox one hadn't powered itself off from being idle like it usually does

SolaceConquestI got this during a sandstorm. I don't know if it has multiple triggers, as tbe bugs fell first and then the sandstorm hit as I entered a Temple in the desert.

TheDude722I had to run around Great Sand Sea for 2 hours before finally getting scarab storm. But during that time, I had seen 15 different other mirages though, with varying frequency.

Mazter0fPuppetzI can confirm that riding your horse/camel will still trigger hallucinations as that's what just happened with me. I was riding in the Desheret Desert and then I saw a flopping fish... I the proceeded onward and then a sand storm hit after that it started raining scarabs and then the achievement unlocked!

MasterTimosI can confirm what SolaceConquest said about getting it during a sandstorm. The scarabs started raining down seconds after the sandstorm started. And you don't need to run around. Just go do something else 😉
