UPDATE 5/29/18 this achievement is now officially fixed. It is being reported that it will pop when you enter a match. HOWEVER.....even if you hit 50 after this patch, it still may not pop immediately. You will have to go into a new server/lobby for it to register. Thanks to UnlikeKaiju for the tip.

You will need a total of 7,000,000 XP to reach 50. Heroes Vs Villains is currently the "fastest" (in the loosest sense of the word) way to earn XP, as depending on how good you are, you could get anywhere between 10,000-25000 per match. Any way you slice it, this will be a grind.

Best characters to use for points (imo) are Chewy, Rey, Vader, and Bossk. Chewy in particular can get you a ton of points each match.

UPDATE: As of the 2/19/18 1.2 patch, Chewie has been nerfed pretty hard, but he's still good for points in HvV. Just don't expect the Shock/Echo Roar combo to be nearly as devastating as it used to be. Also, Yoda has gotten a major buff to his lightsaber damage and his Unleash ability. He's a great choice for HvV now, as well. I'm going to recommend Phasma too, as her Staff Strike just got a fantastic upgrade and if you combo that with your Shock Sentry, you can end up really tearing shit up.

Its worth mentioning that if you have a perfect game and break 30k score that there is an exp limit of just 30k per game. So just shoot for 30k and screw around the rest of the game.

This is the only achievement I need, unfortunately I don't think I'm gonna touch the game anymore till they do double XP. Hoping maybe they have an event on next month with the release of the new movie and a map I believe that's dropping from that movie. At least I can say I completed all the achievements legit like the first game but unlike the first game I don't enjoy this one enough to reach 50

@Sev22, when we boosted yesterday, the XP limit wasn't capped in HvV. I'm not sure what it is in that mode but you can definitely go over 30K.

Was playing GA and I had multiple games of 35k plus and only earned 30k for the game. Don't know if that is a glitch for the mode or if it is poor game design, gonna say poor design given its EA.

Lol @ the downvotes. There's literally no other way to realistically get this achievement quicker than playing hundreds of HvV matches. That's the only viable solution at this time. I wouldn't be surprised if it's certain salty kids who are just downing me off GP.

Well I was in that said session as well and we stopped at 30k and went on to finish the game - leaving us at about 33k XP and we got full XP for the match - it was not capped at 30k.

yeah, again, 30K is the cap in all the other modes, but in HvV, you will get whatever you earned in the match at the results screen. I had 33K in the one match we had and I got all the XP added. There could be a cap in HvV but its definitely not 30K.

One other thing: people tend to rage quit a lot in HvV. However, you DO keep all your XP if the entire enemy team quits and its just you and your team left on the field. You can quit out if you'd like with no loss.

I can't imagine them doing that. Rank means absolutely nothing at this point as it is, all it counts for is the achievement. The only thing that matters is your star card rank per class. It would just be cruel if they added a level 100 achievement, ffs you already need 7,000,000 just for 50 lol.

This is my last achievement. My achievement tracker is a bit goofy. When I hit 25, the tracker showed 48% complete, then jumped to 51% when I hit level 26. I would have thought it would have been multiples of 2. 50% for 25, 52% for 26, etc. Is something wrong? I'd hate to get level 50 and be stuck on 99% or something.

There are no strange percentages. You start at level 1 and 0% and you need 49 more level ups not 50.

Hey Schwartz. I just started the game. Any tips for the MP in relation to which characters and star cards are best? Just looking to grind HVV so I can get to 50 as quick as possible. Also do you think soloing to 50 is viable?

If you can find a friend or two, you'll utterly destroy randoms. Seriously, even if you have just one other guy in your party, you will dominate. For that reason, I say you should just solo it. People quit enough as it is, if you guys are running around slaughtering enemies with ease, they're much more likely to leave than stay. It's cool to play with a buddy every once in a while, though. Destroying n00bz is quite fun.

Boba Fett I used to ace matches with, but since they nerfed him in durability to the point he's a glass cannon now, he's been a tougher sell for me. Death From Above card might be more necessary for him to have now, though not sure what card one should replace it for...

Rey's alright on occasion, but Yoda seems to be the most promising for me out of force users on the light side, thanks to his Opposing The Dark Side card which as the name implies, does more damage to dark side heroes.

For Bossk, I prefer Name Your Poison so I regain quick health when using a dioxis grenade, and Ultimate Predator to extend the duration of predator instinct with each kill.

Chewie and Vader I agree on and in terms of cards. Other builds I have that I would also recommend listing...

Palpatine:
Lightning Reach
The Rule of Two
In Full Control

Iden Versio:
Droid Batteries
Cooled Blaster
Hot Swap

Kylo Ren:
Solid Freeze
Power Reach
Resilience or Bloodletting Frenzy

Leia:

My other remaining character builds I'm less certain on, but those ones I feel strongly enough about.

I can never recommend Yoda, personally. He just seems like a total piece of shit in this game. Whenever I saw Yoda on the field in HvV, I looked at him like he was dinner. EASY kill every time.

Leia is a beast too, I like your build there. I prefer the Flash Grenade card instead of the shield for HvV, comes in handy when you're about to get mobbed.

Fair enough. Pretty much the only way for Yoda to not die too quick is increasing his and everyone's health with presence (the Feel the Force card increases the amount of extra health Yoda gets), or the Jedi Mentor card where he receives less overall damage, but I prefer Lightsaber Mastery card for more stamina. Same with Luke.

True, but the shield card for more frequent shield usage tends to be handy for protecting yourself and others (whoever's the target in HvV) from Boba's missile barrage. May try the flash grenade card again in the future though since you mentioned it... Recently got to level 40, but took a break from the game a few days or so in between, or I was going for the faction challenge rewards which resulted in not playing HvV as much. :u Am glad at least that the rubberband controller people have been gone on my end ever since Finn and Phasma were added.

Who do you guys find to be the weakest heroes on each side? I find Yoda and Luke to be really weak on the Heroes side. Luke in particular seems terrible. Lando isn't great either. On the Dark side, everyone seems pretty good except Iden.

Rey, Leia, and Chewy are great. Luke and Yoda are more defensive than offensive guys. The dark side is much stronger. Vader in particular can easily take on 3 heroes at once and come out on top.

Yeah, the dark side is just OP, with or without certain guys like Boba Fett. Rey and Kylo are about the same for me far as effectiveness and like hero cards, but the gameplay difference in power between Vader/Maul and Luke/Yoda is obscene. Add a good Palpatine on top of the dark side lightsabers and it's a stomp.

Aside from Leia and Chewie, most of the gun users like Lando, Han, and Iden are just average at best. Phasma's good to use defensively though. Finn is ehh but passable as a supporter I suppose.

I find that overall the dark side is stronger. I dominate with Chewbacca, and can function with Rey and Luke. But the dark is so strong; my go to is Darth Maul, I destroy players with Maul, but Vader, Kylo, Boba, Palpatine (I am not very good with him, but I get WRECKED by skilled players) are all awesome too.

Okay, I've been doing a lot better with Luke since I upgraded some more of his cards and replaced one of my previous ones for Epicenter, which does good bonus damage with Repulse for enemies that are in close enough range (like when you're the target). When I do that extra damage Repulse followed by catching up to them with a Rush (RB) saber strike, tend to get some quick kills. As of now, my Luke Skywalker build is

Epicenter
Cleansing the Darkness
Jedi Fighter

Depending on your preference, I could also recommend trading out one of those other cards for Rush Immunity.

Since I got around to upgrading Strong Mind (increased AoE for mind trick) for Rey when I realized I forgot it was a recommended card on here, wondering now if I should replace something in my posted build for Kylo Ren for Harsh Pull (makes force pull also do damage to enemies)...

Kinda been on and off the game in general so as to not get too tired of it, but playing a decent amount of HvV daily is still at least effective for leveling up once a day even when you're in the 40's.

I hope that ( not as the previous battlefront ) the last title update achievement will be: Get rank 100.

I'm a decent player. Especially with Chew, Maul, Rey, Vader.
But yeah, Around 10000-25000 xp per match. I got 33000 yesterday, So i can confirm that 30000 isn't the xp cap.

Point being. This is too much of a grind... I played for 72 hours ( minus campaign ) so lets say 65 hours of online mode. not all heroes vs villians ( cause of the other achievos ). And now i am lvl 29,5.
I hope they will ad challenges for xp like the previous game.

The game barely keeps my attention to get to rank 50 over time as it is. Can't imagine rank 100 again...

Changed my mind for the 3rd Kylo card after my last comment, and switched to Bloodlust in order to have extra hits with the Frenzy special. After looking elsewhere some for more HvV recommended card builds, found that if you do a regular attack or two, followed by dodging the enemy and then using Kylo's Freeze, an unblocked Frenzy attack will finish what's left of their health with those extra strikes.

edit: With today's update, Boba Fett got nerfed even more, this time with his missile barrage... R.I.P. Boba. At least they gave Phasma's gun more time before overheating, I believe.

They gave her more time before overheating but the problem is the TTK for her blaster is still pure dog shit! WTF were they thinking? Overheating isn't the issue, its the fact that the basic classes like Officers and Assaults have more powerful weapons ffs. Still no buff for Luke who BADLY needs one, and Palps, THE most broken hero in the game for Galactic Assault, remains untouched. But Boba of all people gets another nerf, making him even more useless than he was before.

Yeah... I upgraded like 4 or so of his cards (his obvious best ones) until they were blue level, took my time saving up before upgrading any cards to purple, and glad I didn't now with Boba, although he can still be good on occasion if you have a good team as pointed out. Otherwise, don't bother with him.

Regarding Finn's nerf, I guess maybe some felt the auto-aim of his Deadeye was OP, but nerfing him as much as they did was still out of left field.

I suppose this is partly because I don't use Maul that much with how often he gets picked first, but the Accelerated Throw card made me realize how a fool I was for not equipping it sooner for HvV. The increased damage and speed it gives to his saber throw is a godsend.

Aside from even more heroes that need to be buffed now, a double XP weekend or something on occasion would be nice... Would've been done with rank 50 already with how much I play once I'm committed to reach a level-up for the day.

Since I sometimes get kinda bored when I always use the same characters over and over in HvV no matter how good they are, started using Han some more again, and he actually is a beast if used right. Main thing for him is the Air Burst card which when upgraded does good extra damage with the detonate charge when you make it go off in midair. You take down even most of Vader's health with it, and finish them off with a sharpshooter and/or shoulder charge. My Han build:

Sharpshooter's Calm
Heavily Modified Blaster
Air Burst

Maybe there is some truth to what Han said, that hokey religions and ancient weapons are no match for a good blaster. :p

comment above is so true, I use the same setup for Han all purple cards and he's my fav, I've taken a team out with him before multiple times, if used right he's pretty beast but also balanced, airburst, sharpshooter, and if their still alive shoulder charge, works like a charm, always getting 1st with him and fun to use 😈

I only had those cards for Han at blue by the end of my rank 50 grind, but still got the job done, along with Bossk once I had Trap Arming Speed and Multi-Traps upgraded enough for his proximity bombs... So glad I switched to Han when Chewie wasn't doing it for me anymore by a certain point, along with Bossk as the replacement for nerfed Boba.

I've been boosting this achievement almost exclusively instead of playing legit. Currently at Rank 44 and the levels have been flying by pretty quickly. I usually get between 250k-270k per session. The consensus among people I've boosted with on TA is that boosting XP is almost certainly faster than playing legit unless you are a beast at the game. Any thoughts on that?

I didn't find much success in the boosting session I had. It just felt tedious. Maybe you guys have found a better strategy to make it easier. I'll remove that part from the guide since it seems to be helping people now.

This achievement is currently glitched for me, stuck at 97% and so is a friend. does anyone know a way of fixing This? I put almost 200 hours just for this 1 achievement and I'll be pissed if I can't get it

Just keep playing, I had that happen to me when I hit the 50% mark. I opened and closed the game several times, and tried going into different modes. Eventually it started tracking again.

Yeah I'd say it's still accurate. Chewy got hit pretty hard but he's still your best bet for points. Most of the changes affect Heroes performance in GA, like Palps and Rey's nerfs.

Bossk kinda got hit too but probably not as bad as Chewie. Main thing for the latter now is be sure you already have furious bowcaster active before you throw a shock grenade, due to its reduced stun time.

Important thing for here is Luke and Yoda finally got the buffs they needed. To that end I upgraded some of my cards for them a bit more... The damage soak buff for Kylo's Frenzy and reduced recharge time for his other abilities was nice too.

They made Luke faster with better regen, and Yoda's lightsaber does massive damage now, along with his Unleash ability. I'll update the guide to add Yoda now since his buff was more significant than Luke's.

Haven't really been accustomed to Yoda's Unleash ability due to how wonky it was before, but since it's more fixed now, I upgraded Master of the Force card a bit today since it was good enough to be listed here and places. Same with Not Hard Enough for Phasma even though I prefer Safety First. That said, the speed increase for staff strikes now definitely helps.

No love for Kylo in the post solution? He got buffed all around too... Even Boba Fett doesn't feel nearly as nerfed anymore due to how they reworked the jetpack controls, where he has much better and more fun maneuverability in the air. The dodge roll getting nerfed for everyone/everything in the game kinda helps too with his missile barrage accuracy, even if it's not the force to be reckoned with that it once was.

So finally reached Level 50 and nothing popped! I played some games after...nothing. Bought a some crates...nothing. Signed out and signed in again...nothing. Shut the power down and came back in and played another game...nothing! Getting pissed, this was a long grind. Anybody have any tips?

This achievement is broken since the most recent patch. I reached Rank 50 earlier today and the achievement didn't unlock. The progress tracker is stuck on 98%. Many other people are having the same issue on the XB1 and PS4 versions of the game. There appears to be no remedy for the issue other than just praying for a fix from EA.

Noticed when I went from level 41 to 42 the tracker never moved. Now at level 45 and sitting at 88%, 2% out. I will get to level 49 and leave it until the tracker adjusts(hopefully). A few mates have the same problem 2% out.

I think the glitch hasn't yet been fixed despite 3/21/2018 update/patch: I'm level 29 and 56% of progress bar, but 50*56:100=28. So there is still the issue with 1 missing level.

@ O V LORD ALDUIN I believe that the tracker stopped working for a while when the last update went in, then the tracker started working again. So IMO if you went up a level when the tracker had stopped it is affecting your achievement. My % was ok until I went from 41 to 42. Then the tracker started working again. So if you never went up a level when it was broken you should be ok. That is just my theory, could be wrong.

i think it all happens one whether you leveled up during the tracker glitch time. I havent gotten the game yet but i have a few friends that have gotten the achievement and a few that glitched out on them. Im going to try and go for the achievement myself, as i havent even played the game yet. Its on sale now for a decent price ($24). Will take me a while, maybe they will fix it by then and it will pop for others.

I didnt even pop the cheevo for hitting level 25 until I got to 26, seems the level tracker is off by 1 level

I get 30k a match in HvV. Really doesn't take long to rank up. Easily a rank or two per day and thats enough for me before I get bored. I always use non light saber characters as I seem to get more easy points that way. Iden, Lando or Leia are amazing!

I just join sessions because it requires minimal effort and rage lol. Plus the playerbase isn't so big here in Australia for HvV. A 3 hour boosting session will guarantee one level too. They're really easy to set up and get into an empty server, haven't really had too many problems so far except for majority of the sessions players leave last minute and the session falls apart. I don't blame them..

I reached level 50 last month, this achievement still hasn't popped for me. It says I am 98% complete with it on my achievement tracker. Shaking my head at EA and dice until they fix this super annoying problem. 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️

I'm gonna hit 50 in a day or two but I think I might hit 49 then wait till they fix it just to make sure it pops correctly once fixed. I'm sure they eventually will but I'd say an achievement is last of their worries right now.

Are there levels beyond 50? I ask because I was wondering if anyone who hit Level 50 and found the counter is 2% behind (so at 98%) could just go one more level to Level 51 and possibly get the achievement?

Hit level 50 today (29/04/18) but it did not unlock as I'm still stuck at 98%.. Not sure why EA and DICE anger there most loyal players.

I think we'll just have to wait until the lvl cap is atleast 51.. then we all can get 2% more.
Anyone got a response on those emails? I did 10 lvl's during double xp so 45 atm.. think i will go till 49 and than wait until its fixed

Cheevo is fixed with the patch that was released today May 29th. I was level 50 with 98%. I had to enter a match and once the screen loaded where I was waiting for players the achievement unlocked.

Mine popped as well. Was level 49 and got up to level 50 today. Had to start another game for it to pop. It popped when the planet was on the screen.

Seems like it didn't matter anyways but I made sure I stayed at 49 before the fix just in case there was an issue. Took an hour of playing to hit 50, still no achievement and stuck at 98%. Left the match then rejoined and popped on the loading screen. So it seems even if you hit 50 after the patch it still won't unlock immediately! You will still have to join a server afterwards.

When you hit level 50, you will be at 98%, then just get in to another game and it will pop

After i got all achievements legit besides lvl 50 i was around lvl 30 (not even half way). Then i waited for a 2x xp event twice and did the rest.

Sorry for the double post, but I finally managed to achieve rank 50. I was sitting at 94% with Level 49 and thought that it would glitch on me, but it unlocked just fine once I entered a new lobby. So glad its done, even though I will miss Ewok Hunt, love this mode!

This is also the mode I would suggest playing when there is double XP (which will be again at the end of November), because you will get about 18k XP for escaping, which is very easy most times. So 36-38k XP for about 7-8 minutes of playing.

There's a new "co-op" mode which is four person against AI, and it seems pretty decent for points (not to mention no stress of PvP, if you aren't in the mood for that. Especially on maps where you are assualting rather than defending, can easily get 30,000 points in 10 minutes.
