Quick and easy method. Took me about 5 minutes.

1: Check lots to find a ghost or get one to move into your lot.

2: Select lot with ghost and click manage household.

3: Edit ghost in create a sim. If there are non ghosts in your household, move them out first or delete them in create a sim.

4: Save ghost to your library.

5: Create new sim from your library.

6: Place ghost into your household.

7: Repeat steps 5 & 6 a further 6 times (so you have 8 ghost sims in total).

8: Make sure each ghosts sims relationship is a family member, so not a roommate. (I'm not 100% sure if this step matters but it does say 'family' in the achievement so I did it anyway, only takes a few seconds.

Not needed, confirmed working if they're just roommates. Thanks, risseless.

9: Once you have your 8 ghost sims, click on play. Select the household you edited and once you've clicked play again, the achievment should pop just as it's done loading.

easy enough as a note a ghost can be in any lot not just the one in the screenshots

Do the ghosts appear randomly at any time, or just at night (in game time)?

I read ghosts appear in lots where they died during the hours of 10pm and 6am.

It does work if they are just roommates. They don't need to be family members.

Not sure if this has been patched out or just glitched on me but I tried this 5+ times even with setting the ghosts to family nothing popped.

Update:finally got this after clearing data and re-installing twice,still not sure what is causing theweirdness

This doesn't seem to be working for me. I have followed the steps exactly. I will keep playing around to see if it's just being buggy.

EDIT: Popped randomly for me whilst playing a different game.

I have been trying to get this achievement for some time now (clearing cache, re-installing, changing ghosts, ...). After a lot of research it turns out that none of the ghosts can be vampires. If your still having problems that may be something to try.

Every time I look none have gosht in them at the start I think you have a dlc or something

if just looking for the achievement itself, the sims 4 community has families you can download from the gallery that already have 8 playable ghosts in their household, so that is the quickest option available
