I think I have found a definitive way to get this achievement. When the game first starts you want to hit:
-"Join Game"
Most likely you will join with someone building a base or one already built. If one is built set a marker and go to it. Once there you want to be looking for a base computer. Once you find it you want to do the following:
-*Hit* "Pause"
-"Network"
-Turn "Network play" OFF
-Interact with the computer to get the achievement
* If this doesn't work for you please let me know.
Twigleaf Twigsthis worked for me. Sometimes it can take a bit for the BASE waypoint to show up too. that was an issue I was having.... not letting it load the sector fully, before trying another random. +1 solution

DecayingDestinyThis never worked for me. I saved, quit and reloaded my save in a solo game and I was still at the base from the random player I joined. He was gone so I hit the base computer and it popped.

Jet KlaatuCan't get it to pop either and I've tried all solutions provided. Also, on Xbox it doesn't have an option to turn off Network Play, just Multiplayer.
