Okay, so this will not be a comprehensive step-by-step solution to get gold, but more of a series of tips that will help achieve the gold score for each level. I'm assuming that you have at least a passing familiarity with the levels so I won't be giving detailed walkthroughs, merely highlighting spots you'll want to go through.

These can be done solo, but a lot of stuff is actually easier with a co-op buddy, so I recommend playing them co-op.

Fields of Terror

This one's fairly easy. Run through as fast as you can and destroy all Mutation Stations except leave a few vials in the final one. Allow zombies to spawn and kill them with headshots whenever possible. On the left side of the screen is your score with the star designation above it. Around this star are 3 segmented bars that fill in as you score. Keep killing zombies until the the third bar is about a third to half full or until you have about 30 seconds left on the clock, whichever comes first, then destroy the remaining vials and end the level.

Burned Bridges

Near the beginning of the level there are 4 Mutation Stations, one of which you need to destroy to continue the level. Be sure to destroy the other 3 Mutation Stations first and, this is important, also be sure to destroy all vials laying around on the ground in the Mutation Station area (there are quite a few and they're all worth extra points). You may even want to hang around here for a minute to get some extra zombie kills before destroying the one that lets you move forward.

After that just run through the level as normal and when you get to the final mounted gun sequence near the end, kill everything if you can. When you're down to about 30 seconds, you should head for the end, even if you haven't killed everything.

Undying Love

This one is definitely easier with co-op, but can be done solo with slightly more effort.

As soon as you spawn, move forward and right-ish and you'll come to a room at the back of this area that's down a short staircase. The room has a few zombies, a bunch of vials and a red barrel for your convenience. Destroy everything in this room and then back out and continue with the level.

When you get to the Behemoth, be sure to bait him into doing his ground pound attack (while also avoiding its damage naturally). There's no real science to doing this other than getting in close and becoming familiar with what the ground pound attack animation looks like and move away from him when he's gearing up to do one. When he does, he'll remain bent over for a few seconds. Run up to him with an automatic weapon and unload into his weak spot - this will get you a bunch of extra points - repeat until it is dead.

In the area with the 2 Mutation Stations, close one of them down and destroy most of the vials in the other and allow zombies spawn for a minute or two depending on your time and then destroy the remaining Station. Apparently aiming at the chest and letting the recoil get the headshot can get you points for both body shots and headshots increasing your score.

Keep in mind after this you'll still have to kill a bunch of human enemies, so watch the clock and give yourself about 2 minutes to kill the humans and end the level. There are some very strategic red barrels around the area of which you should take advantage. These guys also like to hide, so you may need to move into the area and quickly hunt them down. As soon as you see the yellow marker on the coffin in the center of the area, run to it to end the level (both players must do this in co-op).

I did this with a co-op buddy and we ended up getting 13,000 more points than we needed for gold, so you should be able to get this easily.

Escape from the Rooftop

This is one of the more frustrating levels, but these tips should help out.

The only real advice is to make sure you keep moving around to meet the zombies as they spawn and try to get as many headshots as possible. When running around the area, you're going to want to find a very specific item - remote explosives. Keep in mind that you'll likely have a molotov in your inventory and need to select the remote explosives for later. So hold cn_LB and highlight the molotov and hit cn_right to bring up the remote explosives.

From the starting position, go directly left across the bridge and up the staircase on your right. Turn left and the weapon table at the back of the room has one on it. There are other tables that have them, but I know that one is there. The items respawn pretty quickly, so you can come back and pick up the remote explosive charge again. Be sure have 2 (per person if you're in co-op).

From the start point, diagonally to the left across the map there's an area that has an elevator at the back. When you've killed all of the zombies on the level (this should occur when you have roughly 4 minutes left on the clock, so be sure to be close to this area when the clock gets to that time), the elevator will open and 3 Behemoths will spawn inside.

The elevator actually opens before they spawn, so press cn_RB to toss a remote explosive inside (each player if in co-op). When they finally spawn in, detonate the charge by pressing cn_RB again and immediately throw another into the room and detonate it as well (just keep tapping cn_RB). This should kill all 3 Behemoths simultaneously ending the level. Fortunately, if you kill yourself, the level still ends with a victory.

This one may take a few attempts to get everything just right, but this method definitely works.

Killer Climate

Obviously destroy the first Mutation Station you come to, but after that, which way you progress through the level is up to you. Just be sure to kill zombies with headshots whenever possible. Again, destroy the second Mutation Station you come to and kill as many zombies with headshots as possible.

The trick to this level is in how you kill the Zombie Blood Dragon at the end. When you get to the final area with the Blood Dragon, there are rocks in the center that have a set of weapons: a grenade launcher, a rocket launcher and an LMG. As much as the rocket launcher might seem like the right way to go, you actually want the LMG, which should be the first weapon you come to.

Shoot the Zombie Blood Dragon with the LMG making sure to hit it in the head as much as possible. The reason you're doing this is because you get points for every bullet that connects, plus a bonus if they strike the head. This should drive your score up pretty quickly and you get 5,000 points for killing the Zombie Blood Dragon. As soon as it dies, run into the garage with the truck to end the level.

The Fast & The Fiendish

I highly recommend doing this one in co-op if you can, but it is doable solo.

Fight your way to the truck spending about a minute killing zombies in the first area, always concentrating on headshots. Ideally you'll have around 5,000 points once you get to the truck (5,000 between the two players if in co-op) and around 9 minutes on the clock.

Once in the truck, you'll need to drive to and destroy every Mutation Station along the path you take to the goal. If you have a co-op partner they can be on the truck's mounted gun. Be sure to blow up the red barrels at each station (watch out you don't blow up your truck, though). Then stop the truck and make sure to destroy all of the vials in each station to close them.

When you get to the military base at the end, kill as many zombies as you can with headshots while making your way to the end of the level. Along the path there are a few small caches of Mutation Station vials that you can destroy for extra points. Preserve the ammo in your automatic weapon for the Behemoth that spawns very near the end. You need to bait him into doing his ground pound attack (again, be sure to avoid the damage) and when he's crouched on the ground, empty your weapon into its weak spot. Repeat until he dies and end the level.

If you've got somewhere between 2:00-3:00 minutes left on the clock, you should get the gold.

Laboratory of the Dead

Fortunately, this level spawns you at the laboratory so you don't have to go through the jet ski sequence from the normal version of the level. This level in Score Attack is pretty straight-forward, actually.

You're going to want to kill every zombie you can with a headshot on the way through the level. Also be sure to destroy any and all vials you come across during the level. There a 2-3 places where they are stockpiled and they're all extra points.

There will be at least two points where you have to fight Behemoths before reaching the room with the Giant Mutation Station in it (destroy the vials in it, naturally) which will spawn 3 more for you to kill. Kill each Behemoth by baiting it's ground-pound attack and unloading an automatic weapon into its weak spot for extra score.

Keep in mind that you can open the door that leads to the end of the level before killing all of the Behemoths, so try to do that when you can just so it's already available when you want to leave - or have to leave because you're getting overwhelmed.

Remember that you'll dive into some water and you have to climb out of the water and shoot at the red-colored machinery and blow it up to end the level.

Hopefully these tips help and, please, before thumbing this down, let me know how I can improve it. Special thanks to ShadowBlade1488 for helping me come up with this stuff. Thanks to NeXuS23 for his helpful comments.
NeXuS23I did Burned Bridges with 1:30 left and killed everything fast with head shots and destroyed all vials, only got 38k.

Then did it again, this time a bit lousy, more bodyhits then headshots, and killed all again with all vials, did it with 1:00 left and got over 40k.

Seems 1 x head shot doesn't compensate enough for many body hits, so its better to shoot to body (especially with automatic guns) and move up to head to get many bodyhits and an headshot instead killing them fast with headshots apparently.

And on the Mutations Stations, don't shut them down too fast else you won't get enough points, you need at least 12k after using the grappling hook.

AllOvaMyselfThanks, NeXuS23. I'll try to incorporate that into the solution.

Posted by AllOvaMyself on 02 Sep 18 at 07:06
NeXuS23Also Undying Love can be tough solo, did need several tries and 2:00 can be a bit tight at the end if those bastards hide themselves and time is running out.

I did it but definitely needed two well placed remote explosive charges and four grenades at the mutation stations to get 26k and 2:30 left before climbing up. It ended with 0:26 left because two weren't visible and didn't come out, and i just got ~33k so it was a bit tight.

Co-op is definitely easier.

NeXuS23I now got Gold in "Escape from the Rooftop" Solo, but noticed an issue with the Hot Heads, you apparently don't get credited for the Zombies that die from fire. So avoid Zombies to get burn from the fire, you loose all the kills.

I even made a Video where i get Gold Solo in "Escape from the Rooftop" on Xbox One X and will post it here once uploaded.
Posted by NeXuS23 on 03 Sep 18 at 08:31
AllOvaMyself@NeXuS23 - Alternatively, you can shoot and kill them before the fire does and you'll get points, if I recall correctly, but still a good tip. Thanks.

Congrats on pulling it off solo.

Posted by alandonovan on 03 Sep 18 at 21:24
NeXuS23Thanks! smile

And here the Video i recorded:

Escape from the Rooftop - Solo - Gold

And another one i just did:

Killer Climate - Solo - Gold

Killer Climate was really straight forward with scoring Head Shots on the Blood Dragon with the LMG like described in this Guide.

And finally that one:

The Fast & The Fiendish - Solo - Gold

Yeah, that one sucked Solo but i also learned that switching to Turret takes to long and it's better to simply blow up the Behemoth with remote explosives and move on at the end.

And the last one:

Laboratory of the Dead - Solo - Gold

I did this one in Co-Op first on a Session i joined earlier this day, but now repeated it Solo and it's definitely tougher. Also at the end make sure to destroy the Vials as fast you can and don't wait to long outside else you get spammed with Zombies and won't make it.

-- And for Completion -

Fields of Terror - Solo - Gold

Burned Bridges - Solo - Gold

Undying Love - Solo - Gold

I think it's a good idea to post my own Solution now with all those Videos, for people that prefer Video Guides. But i will let this comment stay if that's ok.

AllOvaMyselfAnother thumb down without comment.

I really wish I knew what was missing or doesn't work so I can fix it for others.

Because this all worked for me and it wasn't just by chance because I've helped other people get gold with these tips...
Posted by AllOvaMyself on 04 Sep 18 at 15:32
NeXuS23I did vote up but that vote vanished after i posted that video list as own solution, didn't know this happens.

And well i wouldn't care to much about the vote downs, especially if they don't write any comments. I'm perhaps a bit more resilient because i'm also on Reddit , but look there are always some that do this for whatever reason.

Perhaps they are simply from frustrated ones that didn't get that bloody achievement yet and simply needed a way to let the world know. Because it doesn't matter how good a guide is, they still need to get the achievement themselves.

And then also know that not all that use those guide(s) actually do vote-up or vote-down, i'm almost sure that many don't even bother to click anything.

OLph42Thank you Me3tspinner and NeXuS23. Your tips helped a lot. You could add something on how to bait (and avoid the ground stomp) from Behemoths, even if you'll find it out soon enough and I like to suggest that you can switch to the gunner seat in the Fast and the Fiendish if you like to conserve ammunition or for some other reason.

The last room on the last map was annoying, I had to back up the stairs I came in and kill two of the behemoths at the top of that stair. It gives you the advantage of having all enemies in front of you for a while.

Posted by KevinFinnerty77 on 09 Sep 18 at 21:55
Gamer0364I'm not fully done yet, but have completed the first five and gotten 3 stars solo (I'm doing the score attack for each pitch after I beat it normally before moving to the next normal pitch), but two things I've noticed that have helped me boost my score:
-When you get a headshot on a Hot Head and they burst in flames, you can continue shooting them for points. Headshots give an extra 100 points each, and it takes several to down them with a 250 point bonus for the kill. You can get upwards of 1,000 points per Hot Head if done right, though this can be difficult with the way they run around. In Escape From the Rooftop I was able to back them in a corner every now and then and pour rounds into them while they just stood there.
-The time completion bonus multiplier is worth way more than a few extra zombie kills. Perfect example is Killer Climate; my first score attack run through I went a little slower and got more kills and came it at around 1:30 with 1,200 points below 3 stars. My second run through I rushed and came in at around 3 minutes with way fewer kills and got 4,000 over the 3 star threshold.

Just my two cents.

x SATELE SHAN xIn the last room you can "glitch" the three Behemoths (they'll stop chasing you and they'll get stuck) if you get on the bottom left table (I didn't try the other ones). However, you have to destroy all vials of the main Mutation Station before, so normal enemies stop respawning.
You should get about 40000-41000 at the end of the last room and you should still have about 2:45-3:00 minutes. Use scoped LMG!
I got the gold medal solo (about 58000 points) and it wasn't easy at all. Coop mode is surely easier and faster.

EtherionNatsuI managed to finish these solo, found that with fast and the fiendish there's a car with guns you can shoot and drive at the same time. You should aim to have around 26-28 thousand score and about 3-3.5 mins left. With laboratory I ended with about 4 minutes left and had a score of 35,000. Absorb body shots and then finish with a headshot, also with flamers do the same thing but while they burn keep shooting for extra points.

NICKtheNINJA1I down voted and I will say it's because guides should be made to help people do these on their own. To simply say that it is doable in solo but way easier in coop is no way to make a guide. I would love to see video proof of you doing all of these solo and then I will go positive vote.
Posted by NICKtheNINJA1 on 20 Sep 19 at 14:53

Well, at least you told me why you downvoted. I'd give you a +1 if I could just for doing that.

The reason I know the levels can be soloed is because, while I was writing this, I went back-and-forth with the guy who has the solution below me who did manage to solo them all and he posted his vids. He even explains that in his solution. Not that I expect to you read other solutions, but the evidence that these can be soloed is there even if it's not explicitly explained here.

Honestly, I'm not really sure how you expect me to expand upon that general statement without going into minute detail about each level which I explained at the beginning of the guide I would not do. I just assumed people would infer that having a second person to help you would make things a little easier. The tips I give in the guide still work whether you're alone or in co-op, some of them are just a little more difficult to pull off on your own.

As a counterpoint, guides are also meant to give the easiest path to obtaining the achievement which, in this case, is co-oping these levels, so I've written it that way. Out of courtesy I happen to mention that you can solo these if you like, but I do not recommend people do that.

This really seems like a bit of a nit-pick on your part and since I didn't play the levels solo, I can't really offer any meaningful tips for doing so.

It would probably be better served if you didn't vote on my solution at all and gave a thumbs up to NeXuS23 given that he used the tips in my guide while making the solo vids he posted.

But, obviously, do as you will.
Posted by AllOvaMyself on 20 Sep 19 at 16:08
NICKtheNINJA1I wasnt trying to offend you. If you want to know why people are thumbing down then that is probably the reason why. If you are going to take offense to every down vote then why ask. I have already up voted Nexus' guide and hopefully it comes out on top here eventually so other people don't waste their time. Doing these in coop is ten times easier and accomplished without putting in much effort. If everyone had a coop partner for this game they would most likely not be here looking for guides.
Posted by NICKtheNINJA1 on 23 Sep 19 at 16:54
AllOvaMyself@NICKtheNINJA1 -

At no point in my response to you did I ever take offense. While I did say I thought you were being a little nit-picky, I wasn't saying that out of offense, merely expressing my opinion based on what you stated was your reason for downvoting.

Just because I disagree with you doesn't mean you offended me or that I'm against you.

Also, try to keep in mind that the voice in your head when you read things is your own and not necessarily that of the writer.

"Doing these in coop is ten times easier..."

Exactly, that's why the solution is written that way, as I explained.

Also, if you're coming to this site for a solution, then you have at your disposal an awesome system for setting up gaming sessions with people playing the same things as you. Finding a co-op partner here to make this easier should be a snap. Now if you don't have the wherewithal to actually start or join a session, that is not the fault of my solution and is really on you (for clarity, this was not said in offense, just stating a simple truth).

And I totally disagree that people with coop partners don't need a guide. For instance, my partner and I struggled to get gold on Killer Climate until I sussed out that we needed to use the LMG instead of the rocket launcher. In fact, that little revelation is what inspired me to write the guide in the first place, so I could share that with others. The number of upvotes shows that people were appreciative of the information and that I wasn't wasting their time.

"...then why ask."

Well, what I said was: "Hopefully these tips help and, please, before thumbing this down, let me know how I can improve it."

You just thumbed it down and then told me it didn't work for you for a reason I don't find to be very helpful in terms of making the solution better, so I responded telling you why I think your opinion is wrong.

If by my merely responding in disagreement you decided I was offended, then I'm gonna have to put that on you again.

Somehow, I don't think this response will make anything better.

StahpI did it yesterday in coop with GOTH IC4RUS.
We had some troubles with "Laboratory of the Dead". We were always overwhelmed in the almost-final room with the giant mutation stations, unable to destroy the vials and to deal with the 3 Behemoths.
What we finally did : as soon as we were able to enter the room, we rushed through it to the door behind and below the mutation station. Once the door passed, we turned around and we were able to shot the zombies to rack some more points (the zombies are not able to pass the door, so it's very easy).
Please note that, although the solution says about this room "destroy the vials in it, naturally", it is not mandatory.
The only diffculty was to find a good balance between the number of points we had, and the bonus multiplier we were expecting from the remaining time. Our goal was 48000 points with 1 min left.
