This achievement requires us to rack up a 1500 paleobotany bonus on a single island. I did this on Isla Nublar (as part of the main game) as that island has infinite money and sandbox options.

Unlocking the Greenhouse
To unlock the Greenhouse and all upgrades you'll need to play through the Claire's Sanctuary mini campaign. To unlock these things in your main game save, you'll need to go to one of the 4 islands that can have a Research Center and research the Greenhouse and everything related to it. Now you're set to go.

Background info
You can have multiple greenhouses on the island so you can simply make two with the tier 3 upgrade to get all the types of food there are. Remember, only herbivores eat the plants, so no need to make carnivores.

The number you want to get to 1500+ can be found under management > Island Rating > Dinosaur Rating, and than the bottom one just above the total number.

You'll up this number by giving dinosaurs as much of their preferred foods as possible. So for example, a Struthiomimus' preferred food is Horesetails, but they also like grasses and palms. If you would make an exhibit with them in it, and place a Ground Paleofeeder you can stock it with those three to get to max bonus instantly on every Struthiomimus eating the food.

A Struthiomimus however is of very low base rating, so even a completely upgraded Struthio with max bonus genes only gives a +2 for Paleobotany bonus, thus requiring 750 Struthio's to be created, a bit too much.

Quickest solution
Your best bet are Sauropods, as those have the highest base ratings. Mamenchisaurus can get to a rating of 438 with the best genes, These really like Tree Ferns, Conifers, and Ginkgo. Make sure to use tall Paleofeeders!

You'll need a Ranger Team to stock the feeders after you've chosen the correct types of food. Just place a couple of Hammond Creation labs (with Incubation Speed 4.0, or 3.0 if you don't own the other DLC) onto an exhibit and start pumping out Mamenchisaurus. After they've eaten the food, the Paleobotany bonus will increase.

Keep doing this until you've passed the 1500 mark and you'll get your achievement. For me it took around 45, 50 Mamenchisaurus released before I got above 1500.

Attempting this in your current park
If you plan on doing this in your current park, remember that some types of foods can poison certain types of dinosaurs, shortening their life span and giving a penalty to the Paleobotany bonus. So you'll need to think about which species you want to keep in the same exhibit. Mixing for example Apatosaurus and Kentrosaurus is fine as they have two different types of feeders (ground and tall) but mixing Kentrosaurus and Iguanodon could have different results in either being poisoned by the food. Putting two feeders into the pen, one with the food of the Kentrosaurus and the other of the Iguanodon doesn't work, they feed from a random one, so will still eat the poisonous food.

Here's a list of all food types and the types of dinosaurs that prefer those. Remember that every type of specific dinosaur also has it's own preferences about food. So even though Ginko says Sauropoda, Mamenchisaurus still likes Tree Ferns better than Ginkgo.

Chaos MythologyWe do this in story mode?

KennyannydennyYes :)

KennyannydennyNot that story mode, story mode of the main game. As I said in the solution's second sentence: "on Isla Nublar (as part of the main game)". Just go back to your main game save, fire up Isla Nublar and you get the achievement there easily.

If you want to preserve your current Nublar layout, just make a new save for this chievo, reload your older save to get your island back and delete the new save.

KennyannydennyI'll highlight that part for the 'fast' readers.

Chaos Mythologyit's odd it is says, Cannot activate in isla nublar

KennyannydennyThat's weird, I just did it myself on Isla Nublar and it worked perfectly fine. Did you do all the research on any of the other islands (for example Isla Matanceros) before going to Isla Nublar? If not, you'll need to do the appropriate research first (as the DLC saves and main game saves are separate)

Chaos Mythologydid you start a new game?

GdinutIts super quick if you do this on Isla Nublar on your regular campaign. But first you need to
1. Unlock the greenhouse and its attachments on the Claire campaign
2. Go to your main campaing (any of the 5 islands, and research the greenhouse and all the plants.

Once you do that it will allow you to build the greenhouse and swap any plants you want on nublar.
just create a few enclosures, remove the no escape options and fill them with feeders approriate to the dinosaurs you have in there (i use sauropods) and you should be able to unlock this in like 10 minutes. Just keep throwing in dinosaurs until your paleobotany score reaches 1500

Kennyannydenny@Chaos, nope

@Gdinut, yeah that's exactly what I did and suggested in the solution smile

Chaos Mythologycould I use a T-rex or a Brachiosaurus?
Posted by Chaos Mythology on 21 Jun 19 at 18:46
KennyannydennyNot a T-Rex as those eat meat, and you need paleobotany, so plants. Brachiosaurus could indeed work.

Chaos Mythologyoh yeah lol forgot about that

Fuzzmeister JIf anyone needs Ratings Master still, send an Indo Rex in the pen after you get this. You can turn on settings so nobody dies of old age and tries to escape and let him eat all he wants. I tried to spawn 2, but they never fought long enough to kill each other.

GMuzz93Worth mentioning in the sandbox option if you change the settings to prevent escape and ignore social and populations & no failed incubation that way you can use the increased speed 4.0 x3 needs then it’s easier to pump out the dinosaurs in to one exhibit rapidly!
