Simple achievement. Once you get to Gideons Rock you will encounter statues that come to life. You just need to kill one with the weapon you get from it (by chopping it off).

The weapon is called "Gaia Lancer," and honestly is a pretty decent weapon.

hydramarineTry equipping directional parry implant. Then just parry their attacks and riposte with high damage.

To chop off their weapon, focus on their right arm by using RS. Damage it sufficiently and then hold X when prompted.

EvanGameHKIt doesn't work if killing the statue directly. To get this achievement, you must chop off its right arm first and then kill it (using Gaia Lancer during this entire fight).

Calex dEUSI was a bit confused by this as I got the weapon the first time I encountered one but killed it with my own weapon. SO went back to the medbay to respawn it and equipped the new weapon. Killed it 5 or 6 times no achievement. As mentioned above even if you already have the Lancer you must cut the right arm and pick up the Lancer again even if you have it already and swap to it to finish it off.

boydo1990It needs to be one of the shielded ones, can't be one of those mutated ones stuck to the floor. I had to do it on my second playthrough.

fffoolishI thought the same ,that i would get it 2nd run through after only noticing after the statues had melted,but im here right now and just finished the statue for the 3rd time with ghia lancer and nothing, anyone have any ideas?

boydo1990I needed to do a semi second playthrough, needs to be one of the shielded Ghia's. They stop spawning after a certain point. I had one spawn randomly late game, but that was a statue that hadn't been activated before, I reloaded the checkpoint to try again, but the statue was gone from its stand the second time. If you are lucky enough to have a un-activated statue with turns into a shield one, try do it and reload your save from the cloud if you fuck it up, otherwise it won't spawn again.
