I started the game with high intelligence so I thought I'd have to do another playthough to unlock this achievement.
Fortunately that was not the case as I was able to lower all my stats using Adrena-Time withdrawal which gives -1 to all attributes. Once I reached the console on the bridge of hope I used about 10 of them a few seconds apart and eventually my intelligence was below average. Then I interacted with the console and I was able to choose the dumb option and skip the Hope myself right into the sun.

Not sure if it matters but this happened on supernova difficulty. You could probably lower your stats more through hunger, thirst and lack of sleep.

Great find from Throni360 - "You CAN do it with +3 intelligence! Just get the Permanent Concussion Flaw. You can get it by stepping on mines and shooting exploding barrels. Repeat it after every cooldown. Switch difficulty to hard if you already have three flaws (maximum on normal)."

Isaac P2YCH0 That's a relief to me though I still got a long way to that quest. I was even thinking about starting a new playthough. Thanks man.

RLGhostZz I can confirm this works on hard mode which probably means all other difficulty as well. Like LordMakanaki suggested, use adrena-free(stacks only 3x) , you'll have to wait 15sec between each drink for the attributes to drop. My player intellengence was (Good). after drinking 3 it was minimal. But you only really need you intelligence below average for the dumb dialog options to be available. You have to do the skip yourself to see the dumb option.

British Legends Nice find!

DaBlackAlbino If your intelligence is very high, this doesn't work. It will lower your intelligence down to average, which isn't low enough to trigger the necessary dialogue option.

LordMakanaki Have you tried using more then 3 adrena-times?
Posted by LordMakanaki on 30 Oct 19 at 04:22
Sashamorning Adrena-time says the crash only stacks 3x. I don't know about harder levels, but the best I've been able to figure is to drop intelligence by 3. You need to be -1, so if you're +3, you might be SOL.

bloodstainwolf can you load a save after this to get a proper ending?
Posted by bloodstainwolf on 30 Oct 19 at 22:19
LordMakanaki Yes you can load the last save and continue the game as normal.

AzaLiza Very good solution. I used it a couple days ago. Thank god i saw it before i passed that part. I was worried when i saw that you needed low intelligence. clap

Rosicky 888 Where's the best place to get Adrena time? I have 0.
Posted by Rosicky 888 on 02 Nov 19 at 11:29
Martel18 If you have max intelligence and 3x adrena withdrawal doesn't bring you low enough, you can go get a concussion by shooting a yellow explosive container. It'll lower your intelligence as well.

Inspector Adam That didn't work for me!

Faustus PHD I have very high intelligence and managed to get this via concussion. I am on Supernova difficulty, so concussion will not go away without bed rest. At the Hope's computer I took three Adrena and as soon as the 3x withdrawal kicked in, I interacted with the comms, told ADA I would skip it myself, and then chose the DUMB option.

Anima Pura I also confirm that if you have high intelligence, it's impossible to reduce it enough to below "Average". Sadly, you'll need to start somewhere close to Average Intelligence for this to be possible.

ianbann82 Thanks Throni360 worked great, put it from normal to hard went to Edgewater shot the explosives waited for effects to wear off then shot another, took a few barrels but eventually got the concussion flaw

Dibbs93 Worked perfectly, thank you

The SCHWARTZ 00 Worked like a charm, thanks. My intelligence was High. I took about 10 Adrena Times and it brought my intelligence down to below average.

Lavindathar Why are some people saying you can only use 3 adrena times and others saying you can use 10....
Posted by Lavindathar on 08 Nov 19 at 19:53
Throni360 You can use 3, 5, 10, 100... but the -1 effect only stacks up to 3 times. Wait 15 seconds for the "high" to end and take the next. Everything else is wasted and has no effect.

Unky Ky I cannot find adrena-time to save my life..

Cuthred lots of sleep deprivation also lowers int

Unky Ky Since it hasn't been answered, you can find Adrena-time looting The Hope right before you go to the terminal..
Posted by Unky Ky on 12 Nov 19 at 23:31
Symbiance so I am permanently concussed.. i got the 3 slots maxed for the Adrena-Time. my intelligence is shown as "Minimum".. but the option for "dumb" responses to skipt he hope into the sun does not show up at all.

i dont know what i am doing wrong.
Posted by Symbiance on 14 Nov 19 at 02:04
Unky Ky You have to skip to Terra and then the next question it will ask is if you want to do it yourself. And then it will give you a dumb option. This solution isn't clear and no one else really explained it for some reason.

THANK YOU- why has no one mentioned this anywhere!

NafrayuNox I didn't find any Adrena-time on the Hope, maybe because I went in without any gunfight. I went to the Groundbreaker's medical bay and the doc at the entrance sells adrena-time, a stack of 4, wich is enough to reduce your intelligence. Should you want to you can sleep 3 days and he'll have more. There are beds in the medical bay if you're not playing in Supernova.

I played on supernova and I'm not sure if that matters or if was something story related I did, but the doc would not sell me supplies at any point.

The bartender at The Lost Hope on the Groundbreaker also sells Adrena-time.

dropK1CK ninJA On my playthrough where I betrayed Phineas, I had to select skip to Tartarus and then I was provided the dumb option. There may be some discrepancies depending on your choices on how you get the dumb option.

meatman75 I was just about to skip the Hope and thought, "let me look at TA before I do this". Glad I did and I came across this solution. Worked like a charm with the Adreno withdrawal. Cheers. +1.

dehydration too

TheIcemanCometh Does this count as "completing" the game for achievements? I would assume it would and would save time by not having to do the Tartarus section on Supernova (not that it's overly long or anything, but still ...).
Posted by TheIcemanCometh on 05 Mar at 12:57
Throni360 ^No.
Posted by Throni360 on 05 Mar at 14:48
TheIcemanCometh Thank you @Throni360 - good to know. I'll have to reload after that I guess. It's one of the few I have left.

A1ienspacebats The above solution is not explained properly. What you need to do is use an Adrena-Time and wait 15 seconds for the effect to wear off. It has a timer in the Character-Details menu. When the timer runs out you will have an Adrena-time crash which is what lowers your attribute. Do this one more time if you started with Good Intelligence and two more times if you have High Intelligence.
