LITERALLY JUST DO THIS:
Difficulty: Easy
All Skulls but blind (Kind of handy just to see your shields)

At start find a nice open area and kill the grunts with DMR headshots run to the elite/s melee once then try to get behind him and assassinate him(get used to doing this)
keep doing this to every elite that comes up to you until the General Elites start coming(Yellow big fellas)
Once these Generals show up just keep trying to chain assassinations and get one of their swords, keep an eye on your shields if they are low just get a hit or two in with the sword and then continue with the assassinating.
This method will take a while so maybe have a small break here and there and after you have over 150,000 points let the elites....

Good Luck

edit: there are barrels around the place so you the area you have chose has them... stand back and shoot them a couple of times or it could be you also restarting because of them.

note: you can try it on normal for more score but I found the elite ultras would be able to down your shields a little bit too fast to be able to melee them for shields.... might've been a little drunk to handle them at the time.

Here is a video if you need, shouts to the General, go and check out some of his other vids while you're at itsmile
JullianGGHow Long Would You Say This Took You?

I Upvoted Your Guide since i kinda had the same idea, But i Knew it would take forever.
Im Glad Someone Actually Got this, Congrats

wildwest08I can confirm this is probably the best way to do this achievement right now, unless someone finds a cheese method. Suggested this to a friend yesterday and he got it first try. I haven't been patient enough with it though lol. Going to try your suggestion with a sword though, hadn't thought of that part. Adding more people to your group probably won't help. Solo is the best way because of less enemies.

T00 ExhaustedMy attempt was just over an hour without my pause breaks..
Posted by T00 Exhausted on 05 Dec 19 at 13:51
DemonSpawn2714Do you think this method is easier solo or with partners? I was trying it last night with friends and while it was working to an extent we still kept dying. Also it randomly ended when we had one left and he didn't die...
Posted by DemonSpawn2714 on 05 Dec 19 at 16:13
wildwest08I tried it a few times with others and it seems harder with other people. More enemies spawn and you can get over run easier
Posted by wildwest08 on 05 Dec 19 at 16:46
AlphaaTemeraireAbsolute nightmare, all you get is juggled around by concussion rifles until you simply cant melee anymore to get your shields back and the sword elites single-frame hit you the second you are in range, often having like 3-4 of them running after you permanently while being jostled around in a seething mass of RRAGGHH WORT WORT WORT golden dickheads. D:
Posted by AlphaaTemeraire on 05 Dec 19 at 18:03
oONeonDemonOoBetter do it solo guys. Tried it with some buddies and we got so many elites no way to get over 30k... simply do it solo with some skulls on, and keep using sword everytime. Focus on elite with swords when they run on you. And remember where the swords dropped so you can quickly switch your sword when they are empty. Shoot the barrels on the beginning so you wont have much troubles. I did it using sprint only and stayed in the area where the bubble ability is so i can switch for bubble when needed. Sprint is better to run after ennemies.
Posted by oONeonDemonOo on 05 Dec 19 at 19:09
CF GaMeBReaKeRHow many health packs are there in this area? I only found one and died at around 50k cause just having shields with no health was when it got hard.
Posted by CF GaMeBReaKeR on 05 Dec 19 at 23:06
JullianGGI Just Got It,
I Personally Didn't use an Energy Sword, Seems harder to get a Instant Kill aka Beat Down.

Raise Sensitivity Up So You Swing around to The Elites Backs Rapidly.

Stay In the Area Near Where The Wraith is,. Not Next to it but Just an Open Area

Avoid Fighting On Hills.

And DO NOT STOP PUNCHING, Even if you know you wont get the beat down, you need shields on recharge 24/7

If You Get Into Trouble Run For A Health Kit.

Better Solo Like Everyone Said, took Me 35 Minutes From Hitting Start To Purposely Dying
Posted by JullianGG on 06 Dec 19 at 02:02
wildwest08Wow 35 minutes? Everyone I have talked to said it took about an hour or more. Great stuff!
Posted by wildwest08 on 06 Dec 19 at 02:42
T00 ExhaustedSensitivity being higher would help, and being lucky enough to have the elites gang banging you in this case is a good thing just so you can spin and punch non stop.
Posted by T00 Exhausted on 06 Dec 19 at 05:31
wildwest08Yeah finally got it with the sword route. Probably takes longer but imo the safer option. I always focused on the sword elites first and stayed in an open area the whole time. If the elites pushed back towards the boundary I just ran around the rocks and they chased me back into the open

KeefnatoRight so my first attempt was 41 minutes while netting a score of 68,000, following the run above. I began as you should, headshot all lesser enemies until after about 2 minutes exclusively using the sword against the ultras. I lost half my health early on figuring I could use all of those plasma grenades sitting around but ultimately it just leads to more sporatic movement from the elites and unnecessary damage to your shield. No bagels. It was going fine for 30 minutes when all of a sudden elite rangers began to spawn throwing a LOT of grenades. I didn't expect that so keep it in mind. From what I could find there is only one medkit, though I didn't look very hard. See, if it's going alright you can do it indefinitely, but the spawns just threw me for a loop. The process isn't all that difficult. Granted, at the rate I was going it would take over an hour and a half, but I can't see it being any easier on a higher difficulty. I've done enough extrenuos Reach achievements for one day so I think I'll leave this for a fresh session.

CF GaMeBReaKeROk, I was having some troubles, but I just found a very easy way to do it. Follow all above, using the beat down method with a backup sword. Easy, all skulls except blind. The key to this strategy is the area you do it in. I only went below 30% shields one time and never had to use a health pack. Go inside the building that you spawn facing, and just run circles around the top room (the one that has a health pack in it.) This will make it so you have cover from some sides and also the elites have to filter in. My general strategy was to stay in this room doing the assassination strategy. Sometimes the concussion rifle elites will hang around outside and it is ok to go kill them once you have the room cleared out. The assassinations will be really easy to get quickly in the small room as the enclosed space makes the Elites movement very predictable. I pulled out my sword if more than 3 Elites got in the room at once, or there was more than one sword guy. You also have the healthpack right there in case anything goes wrong somehow. This made it 1000x easier for me than doing it in an open area where the movements were less predictable and the concussion Elites have more angles to shoot you from range.

Vengeful VoidIts the worst achievement the entire Halo franchise. SLASO was easier then this crap...
Posted by Vengeful Void on 07 Dec 19 at 13:30
CF GaMeBReaKeRI assure you this is not harder than any LASO achievement done legit lol. It is a bad achievement though just because it takes forever and you HAVE to cheese it with the easy/all skulls. If you follow my comment above I don't think you would have any troubles once you got the assassinations down.
Posted by CF GaMeBReaKeR on 07 Dec 19 at 15:15
Vengeful VoidI have all LASO achievements done, even Reach SLASO but this achievement, its so...
I tried it now for ~5h. Will try it later/tomorrow again.
Update: Got it, MCC done.

II RENEGADE IIJust unlocked this in Solo. I used a similar strategy, but found this to be much more manageable by turning off the “Catch” skull as well as “Blind”. Without the threat of grenades being thrown at me nearly as often, or the chain explosions from grenades on the ground, all I had to worry about was the Sword elites. Stay on the move when they gang up on you. Plus it’s only .09x less for score, so not a huge detriment to overall score.

Rknb117Does this work in coop? One players gets the achievement, all players do?
Posted by Rknb117 on 09 Dec 19 at 18:06
GhostWrexI just had it glitch out on me and not count my 151000 point run, but one thing I noticed is that going inside the bubble shield restores your health. Just another little too to hopefully put someone else over the top. Now to go try again, I guess.... After further investigation, it seems that if you run out of bounds to die, it doesn't count as finishing the level and since there are no checkpoints, you start over with negative points. So good job me...

SlayajaFor those of you that attain the score of 150,000 and do not unlock the achievement, I feel yoir pain. It happened to me, and my group as well. I believe its caused by skipping the death cutscene. Make sure that the players in your party DO NOT press anything after you, or the last player in your party dies, let the scenes play out in their entirety, and all players in the group should unlock the acheivement when you all return to the results screen.
Posted by Slayaja on 12 Dec 19 at 13:37
Light994Done this in coop and all players got the achievement. 150k in 40 minutes.
Posted by Light994 on 13 Dec 19 at 00:39
Ryan D StimoKeep trying this but don't get too far. 11,000 my best run. Do well then all of a sudden my shields and health vanish and I just die. Tried in the open and in the house you start near. Don't get even close.
Posted by Ryan D Stimo on 14 Dec 19 at 22:29
SoundgoodizerJust died at 50,000, not sure what I did wrong but I did have blind on so it was kinda hard to tell what caused me to die
Posted by Soundgoodizer on 16 Dec 19 at 08:18
Soundgoodizer2nd attempt was a bust with a death at 3000 points lol, finally got it on my 3rd attempt. I kept the blind skull on because I didn't feel like seeing the cracks on screen. took about 45 minutes (also the Drop Shield is a nice safety net in case you are worried about getting low on health)
Posted by Soundgoodizer on 16 Dec 19 at 21:46
count023How the hell did he manage to do that in less than 30 minutes solo? What a load of crap.
Posted by count023 on 21 Dec 19 at 12:28
T00 Exhausted^ a shit sense of time and belief in himself?laugh You don't gain/lose much from having Blind on or off.
Posted by T00 Exhausted on 21 Dec 19 at 12:37
WhiteHelljumperI died at 130k, I hate this achievement so damn much.

Edit: Got it and so glad for it to be over, I almost messed up at like over 145k but I had left the healthpack in that building near the spartan laser and grabbed that which saved my ass.

Zoda iZ CruelJust wanna add a with tips from my side (maybe they got mentioned already but i won't read through 10 guides)

- Below the turrets is by far the best place (in front of the pipe building thing)
- You got around 5 - 7 enemies to deal with, the rest is above you but won't shoot
(only if you got very far to the left or right)
- Let the enemy run at you, hit you once, while he is doing his animation, go behind him, assassinate him, continue (sword guys are a bit faster than the concussion ones.)
- While killing them, you got here and there a few seconds off, i used them to throw the plasmas around so they won't chain explode.
- Drop shield mostlz in front of the stone blocks so save myself from wraith shots (got hit mostly in the moment of heat and died because of this fucker)
- Concussion rifle was my weapon of choice (no sword or anything else), it's good for assassinating and some enemies try to run away from you, shot next or behind them and they start actually coming towards you.
- Oh and don't do an whole assassination, just a quick melee in the back.

And, very very important, don't just melee them over and over and over in the face, i tried this but this took too much time and they swarmed me.
It was far easier actually killing them with 1 smack in the back and move on.
They never had time to swarm me, once or twice i had 5 but since you kill them pretty fast, they are no real threat.

MassacreMan101Got over 150k and ran out of bounds to kill myself and didn't get the achievement. From what I've read, it doesn't count your score if you die that way.
Posted by MassacreMan101 on 02 Jan 20 at 04:42
PHATFree86Tried a few different methods but this worked best for me. First destroyed the barrels and turrets (just take them off the stands and drop them). Then hung out below the turrets. Cleared plasmas in between waves of enemies so they didn’t build up too much. DONT chase after concussion elites who run too far away from you. That’s how you get swarmed. DONT kill grunts unless they are suiciding. The more grunts on the field the less elites there are since the level only supports a limited number of enemies at once. Don’t try to back-smack the sword elites until after their 2nd move/lunge. Many times I could smack the concussion Elites after 1 move/lunge but not always. If things get dicey run away! Used all skulls but cowbell and blind so I could see my shields and health

metallicafan459Ok this just doesn’t work at all for me. Tried following the video and get about 1,000 points before I get overrun by Elites with concussion rifles. That’s without actually going anywhere beyond the first part of the map.

I then tried the room straight after you spawn as suggested by GameBreaker. It took me a good 6 mins to lure any elites near the place. Then they just stood outside shooting - so not sure if it’s been patched? I eventually got a few into the building, but only at the bottom, not at the top. Only got me to 8,000 points though before too many concussion blasts wiped me out.
Posted by metallicafan459 on 18 May 20 at 07:56
T00 ExhaustedTry running around the stretch the Drop Shield spawns. Destroy all barrels there before hand when killing all the grunts. Should do the trick.
Posted by T00 Exhausted on 18 May 20 at 08:08
metallicafan459Well I managed to get 31,639 using this slower strategy:

Aardvark VulgarGot 157,000 points and let the elites kill me. I did not unlock the achievement. I even watched the cutscene. It’s not even a hard achievement. It just takes forever and is boring. One small mistake can ruin the run. Now to do it again....

alancool23gamerI spend 8 hours of my life

Sir LagselotGood guide, but I was still having trouble getting 150k until I turned off the blind, catch, and most importantly, mythic skulls. This changes the sword from a 4 hit kill to a 2 hit kill. If you swap out with every sword elite you encounter, you should never run out of sword ammo.

This should really be done solo, coop is MUCH harder. Be sure to locate 1-2 health packs and have fun. This is going to take a while. I eventually hit 150k in about 1.5 hours.
Posted by Sir Lagselot on 18 Jun 20 at 03:50
Gut gulperI got to 150k on my first attempt easily. It took 2 hours. The achievement didn't unlock. Kill me.
Posted by Gut gulper on 20 Jul 20 at 15:48
Hirotoro4692What the above said, but you don't need to turn off blind or catch. just turn off mythic and famine instead. This ensures you keep the swords flowing and never run out.

Sure, it's slower. But it's safer. keep sprinting, don't stand still. Grab a sword when yours expires. Note that when no elites are nearby, the concussion ones will start bombarding you, so run diagonally towards the next clump of enemies if you're about to finish off the last Elite nearby. Note the health pack in the building opposite the start, and the one near the suspended pipe. KEEP sprint.

TopherXPwnsJust did it after about 80 minutes and it didn't pop. I wonder if Iron restarting the level screwed me over.
Posted by TopherXPwns on 24 Aug 20 at 16:56
T00 Exhausted^Nope should pop as you die/when the cutscene starts to play. Fairly certain Iron does nothing but add a multiplier on Lone Wolf, when you die it still shows the cutscene then sends you back to the menus.
Posted by T00 Exhausted on 24 Aug 20 at 17:01
TheDonSimeoniIron just adds multiplier, even in coop. However, in coop, only the host seems to get the achievement.
Posted by TheDonSimeoni on 09 Sep 20 at 08:05
GrozniaThis may work for some people but in my case I had to turn off blind. I managed to get to 50k before getting killed. There were just too many with concussion rifles pushing me everywhere. Another thing: this gave me motion sickness. I hoped I'd be able to get the achievement in one go but am not going to attempt this again for a while. My stomach can't handle it!
Posted by Groznia on 14 Oct 20 at 03:54
TheDonSimeoniThe amount of times I've gotten to 60K is insane...

A couple of tips for people struggling, although I guess if I've still not gotten it, maybe they don't work laugh

EDIT 1: Put all skulls *EXCEPT* Blind. Play on easy.

Don't play Co-Op. The achievement popping is very, very strange, *plus*, on solo you can take breaks as pausing works properly. For the 30K achievement, I got it (as host) but my partner did not. I changed to another account, he hosted and my second account got the achievement and he did not.

1st time: He died before 30K, so we presumed he just had to stay alive when we hit 30K/150K.
2nd time: He hid, I got us to about 50K. He got maybe 50 kills.
Either both players need to be getting an equal amount of points, or both players need to hit 30K. No idea what is going on with it. HOWEVER. Player two can get Armour Lock, which makes the killing of the elites way easier for player one as they are completely distracted by the armour lock.
(Same can be said for Halo 4 LASO with Hard Light Shield with Knights wink)

There's a Spartan Laser. You can remove the turret from the Wraith. It seems really hit and miss, think I've done it maybe 4 times in 100 tries, (EDIT: it is definitely possible, the further away you are the easier it seems to be, just aim for the tip of the turret and should be good!), but if you can remove the turret, you no longer need to worry about being removed from the face of Reach by a random ass wraith shot. (Killing the wraith outright just spawns another one, although it does net you a nice 400 or so points)
You can also use the Spartan Laser to remove the turrets from the dropships if you're near them.

Sprint is great, but the bubble shield gives you health back. Dropping some mobility to get a momentary second of respite and healing can really save your butt.

Don't use the sword. It seems to be really really inconsistent *doesn't work with beat down kills. Punching in the back is way more reliable. Although the empty sword is pretty fun and works just fine.

---

Hopefully, some of this helps someone get it... I will continue to try and grab this achievement every now and then as I work towards 100%.

EDIT 2: When side stepping elite to punch them, go anticlockwise. They all stand with their left foot forwards after a swing, so its much, much easier to get a hit on their back by going to the right (your right), than going left.

You get more points per kill as you get further, as there is some multiplier applied based on what level of spree you are on
as well as the fact ultras give more points (first ones I kill give 228, later one it's up to 260, also normal elites at the start only give 60).
Remember to try and chain as many kills as you can, as multi-kills also award more points.

Where:
I find the little tower you spawn at to be the best place, simply because there's only one way they can come at you from, and you have an escape down if you need it. Concussion rifles can be a pain though. Another option is the house directly in front of spawn.

ALWAYS DESTROY ALL OF THE RED BARRELS AT THE START. ALL OF THEM.
So many late-game deaths caused by stray concussions creating a chain reaction.roll

TjstolkDon't do what I did, I played for an hour because I turned blind on and was afraid I would stop at 140k. Ended up with 824 kills and 240.000 points after exactly an hour.

xShoot4WarAmpsxI completed 5/6 LASOs and 4/6 Speed runs but cant manage to get more 5k doing this. Too little points and 6 mins in im overwhelmed die even on easy. Half the time the enemies just sit there and shoot at the Regen shield. Its too difficult too back smack enemies when you got 20 other enemies charging you and shooting at you

The Pie PieperI too found this strat to be super useful. I went from only lasting 3-4k to completing it with no issues. My only tweak was to fight under the platform with the 2 mounted LGMs, I think thats where you spawn. It wasn't too crazy and the only real threat were the wraiths. You never have to fight more then 6-7 elites at most, usually only 4-5. I ignored swords and only used the concussion rifle. The concussion rifle was great because it would split up the packs of elites and remove the nads on the ground.
Your bubble is your best friend. It allows you to kill the sword elites and keeps you safe from the wraith shots. If you see more than 4-5 elites together, split them up and work on them one by one. Same with sword elite, they aren't too bad but can be a pain when they are grouped up. Usually only see 2 sword elites spawn at the same time.
Take your time and just stay calm. You may get overwhelmed by 4 or 5 elites but keep swinging, you'll get one eventually. If you get low run and pop your bubble.
Only other note is this strat took me about 1hr 12min to get 155k. The video may have a faster stream of enemies but fighting under the 2 mounted LMGs seemed safer for me.
Remember, its on easy. You can take a few hits and nad explosions before having to be concerned.
