Mr FiddlerGreat videos, certainly helped me out during my run - thanks!

One suggestion I would make though is that some might prefer the videos to be embedded in the solution rather than having to visit YT. Can still keep the playlist link as well.

Maverick HiroThis guide did it for me. Following these tactics and the save/quit method made this bearable. Thanks.

Games MasterMuch like other people here I have 12/12 on my LASO playlist from doing the missions out of order, helping friends. Would anyone have a lone wolf/epilogue checkpoint I could borrow? :)

Games MasterCan confirm watching the epilogue/lone wolf without skipping any cutscenes will fix the 12/12 problem!

FsK ZeusAre these methods also the go to for H2A and CE?
Posted by FsK Zeus on 03 Jun 20 at 04:37
FsK Zeus@lightsup55, Thanks for getting back to me friend, so if I’m just doing the LASO for CE am I still required to force quit every mission? Or do I like Reach go all the way to the end of the game and finish the Maw and when the end cutscene starts, force quit and open up normal Halo MCC and resume playlist?

I look forward to hearing from you.

lightsup55You only need force quit on each mission if you are going for the 3-hour speedrun achievement.

Since you are only going for the LASO playlist and nothing else, then you can just force quit at the end cut scene of the last mission.

FsK ZeusThank you so much my friend!

FsK ZeusOk, so first issue is I got to the cut scene and force quit the game. I then loaded up normal MCC and resumed playlist. It brings me back to the starting cut scene for the level and I had to start the level again.

Second issue is I play through the whole level to get to the last checkpoint, save and quit. Close the game and load up normal MCC to resume playlist off of checkpoint and it returns me to the same scenario above. I have even tried reloading off of the Anti-Cheat Disabled version of the game and that actually starts me where I left of previously.

The problem is switching to the normal MCC game. Any advice?

lightsup55Are you sure that you are actually getting checkpoints? I've noticed when speed running through H2A that sometimes checkpoints aren't even given. The only solutions that seem to work in those situations are to clear out more of the enemies and take it a bit slower and watch for the Checkpoint... done. message in the upper-left corner.

Other than that, I don't know.

FsK ZeusAlright I took my sweet old time, got the checkpoint at the top of the lift to get into your warthog for the great escape. Save and quit and loaded up base game. Worked like a charm :D

Now off to H2A :'(

J4CKA1Wouldn't playing on the PC unlock achievements for the PC version too? I don't want to have to get 700 achievements all over again.

If you are playing the game from the Steam store, you will unlock BOTH Xbox Live achievements and Steam achievements (at the same time). Your in-game career progress is read from the Xbox Live profile that is signed-in and will unlock the Steam equivalent achievement for the Steam account that is signed-in. However, this only applies to the games in the collection that have already been released on PC (e.g. Halo: Reach, Halo: CE Anniversary, Halo 2: Anniversary, and Halo 3). *You will not be able to unlock any Steam achievements related to Halo 3: ODST or Halo 4 until they are released on PC (date pending).

* After Halo 3: ODST / Halo 4 are released on PC (and subsequently installed), simply launching the Halo: The Master Chief Collection from the Steam library with Easy Anti-Cheat (EAC) software and signing into the Xbox Live account that acquired the Halo 3: ODST / Halo 4 achievements previously on Xbox One will automatically unlock the Steam equivalent achievement(s).

At present, the maximum obtainable achievements on Steam is 511. It should technically be 513 but Aficiando and A Preference for Pain are unobtainable (only affecting the Steam achievement; Xbox Live achievement is still obtainable using Steam). Once Aficiando and A Preference for Pain get fixed in a later patch, re-launching the game on Steam with EAC and using the same Xbox Live account will automatically unlock the Steam equivalent achievement(s).

Steam achievement list (requires an Xbox Live account):

godsandm0nstersCan you complete the playlist with a mixture of solo and co-op completions? I'm trying to work out what the best way to approach this is.
Posted by godsandm0nsters on 17 Feb 21 at 19:57
MrKoolxDood@godsandm0nsters I believe you can do this and still get the achievement. But the scores and times from the previous LASO missions on the playlist will be wiped but still it should not affect the achievement.
