UPDATE: Thanks to IVIVP NiGhTMaRE (BCarsonElite on PS4) we have a new glitch that appears to be SIGNIFICANTLY faster than any previous method You can find that method in this video. I'll leave the original guide below but this is the best way to do it as of right now.

Here's a massive time saver from ricky kistler on YouTube (YMMV):
[I have included his comment below but basically, as far as I understand it, you run the glitch for long enough to where an input will crash it. Once that time has come hold down either A or X (X or Square on PS4) and the game will crash but give u jump in %. YMMV on how much you get but its worth doing before u stop it. If you hold the button and it doesn't crash you need to leave it a while longer for it to get to that stage.]

Okay so I did a lot of testing out stuff with this glitch and it appears that there is a faster way of getting to 100% as I have already shaved off about 2 days now so here we go...... For some reason this only seems to work at around 3% in so roughly 6 hours... so when you are at that point start holding X or square and you will start to travel at light speed and gain a definite minimum of at least 1% up to 3 or 4% at one time!... the most I've got was 8% at one time!... now please note that doing this does make the game crash every time but it is definitely worth it! I haven't personally tried doing it with it higher than 3% because that always worked for me and I was impatient but you could try waiting until it reaches 10% (20 hours) and then it might go up even more!... oh and you ps4 players unfortunately can't see the tracking so definitely use this at your own risk but personally I would do this anyway as it may unlock a lot faster but I would recommend waiting at least 10 to 12 hours before trying it like when you wake up... again it does crash the game but at that point it may crash anyway for some of you
Since this has been uploaded people have found tweaks that have worked for them. Instead of making a new video everytime since the basis of the glitch is the same I will post them here for anyone who might need it! Let me know in the comments if there is tweaks that helped you and ill add it!

Frank9080: "You dont have to use the sticks to get through the invisible floor, just hold/tape down RB/LB and you fall right through no problem. Makes it a little easier than trying to find the perfect ollie point."
[I tried this method myself and can confirm its much more consistent. You will need to hold the bumpers down to maintain the grab however and if they arent you will be respawned back at your start point]

Spooky MSc: I think the video makes it look way harder than it is. There doesn't need to be any messing around while you are invisible. If you clip just inside the wall, there is about 8 ft of visible ground inside the wall with the big abyss in the middle. Just place your marker on the visible ground and your skater (still visible) should spawn there. Tape down LT and RT, and then skate into the hole. Your skater will dissapear and you will continue to fall if you are holding LT and RT.

One other tweak I'd suggest was that a couple of times I would get booted back up to the session marker up top, so I rubber banded "A" down as well to automatically skate back in, so only really a softlock will mess it up :)
[You can find a clip in the comment below]

ORIGNAL: Here's a guide for all the achievements in the game. As you probably already know from the other guide you can expect this achievement to take a long long time. I cover this achievement at 14:24 in the video

IVIVP NiGhTMaREI'm on PS4 so I can't track the progress for this, but the method I'm using now (if it works) would be about 200 hours for the entire 40,000 km instead of 400-500...

Simply start in Downtown LA and press Y to move the spawn cursor around. Fly as high as you can and go into the black building. If everything seems to disappear around you, you're doing it right. Set a spawn point there and spawn in. Your character should be invisible, but you can tell that you're skating because of the audio. If you drive forward, you'll fall off the building and continue falling for about 5-6 seconds before respawning back on top of the invisible plane. When you spawn back up top, go into the spawn cursor menu and notice the white circle beneath it, indicating where this invisible plane is. Go forward until the white circle disappears, and then bring it back until you can see it again (on the edge of this invisible ledge). Try to get this white circle as close to the edge as you possibly can, and place the spawn point there. You'll spawn then after a second, start falling automatically. If you don't start falling, then you gotta get closer. I'm pretty sure you're still on the board and not just bailing because if you Ollie off of the ledge, the trick name will pop up on the screen right before you respawn. For all intents and purposes, this is a decent way to net some distance and will still save you time, but it gets better.

If you kickflip off the invisible ledge and hold the thumbstick so the trick continues through where the ground of the map would be, you'll continue falling presumably forever. There are only two problems: I'm not sure if falling counts towards this achievement and (since I've fallen for so long and can't see anything anymore) I'm not sure if I'm still falling after a certain amount of time or if I'm just suspended in the air. The first time I tried this, I pressed some buttons to see what's up and the "Indy" trick popped up in the corner of the screen which tells us that the game isn't frozen, and I'm still "in the air." Right after that, some deca-kickflip popped up on the screen so I think I "landed" the trick. If somebody could give this a shot and leave it on overnight, we'll know if this is actually the best method or if leaving the console on for 9 days will be a mistake.

I'm BCarsonElite on PS4 if you're interested in seeing if it pops after a week

Bond OO7I'll give it a go tonight and see if I get any progress! Thanks for the tip! If it works do u mind if I make a video and give u credit? If u intend on making one yourself then I wont
Posted by Bond OO7 on 30 Jul at 13:33
Achieve BeanIf someone can get this working that would be great. I couldn't get it to work using what was written and I tried for a while. Any video would be great!
Posted by Achieve Bean on 30 Jul at 14:15
OneHandStanceWhat a ridiculous achievement, especially since the developers seem to think 40.075 means 40,075. Unless this is a mistake and the requirement is what it SAYS it is at 40 km, this is a deal breaker for me spending $55. I'll just wait for session.

Btw, I find it interesting how my last post calling out this cheevo was deleted. Terrible.
Posted by OneHandStance on 30 Jul at 15:35
Wwaugood luck on this cheevo
Posted by Wwau on 30 Jul at 16:32
ClaytThaGreatYou don’t need luck... all you need is a rubber band and something else to do while you idle ride your board around.
Posted by ClaytThaGreat on 30 Jul at 17:52
Bond OO7@Wolfsbane Skadi I have it working. I have no idea how to tell I'm falling though lol. Just on a screen with the background because I fell past the point of being able to see the buildings. I can't Ollie so I guess that means I'm falling but I hope I'm not just in a falling animation but not actually moving. Hard to tell
Posted by Bond OO7 on 30 Jul at 19:24
Bond OO7I can make a video for it but I want to be sure it's actually counting before I do so I don't get people's hopes up. Once I hit 2% I will make a video. Theoretically it shouldn't take that long based on the original post's numbers
Posted by Bond OO7 on 30 Jul at 19:28
Frank9080I was able to get out of the map on High School, but it seemed like there was an invisible floor even with tricking. It just looked like I was tricking on the floor, not moving.
Posted by Frank9080 on 30 Jul at 19:33
A 2rue BooferAny achievement progress Bond?
Posted by A 2rue Boofer on 30 Jul at 22:10
Bond OO7Yup, just coming here to post that I went from 1% to 2% with this method in about 1hr 50 mins. hard to tell how far into the 1% i was before hand but I believe i wasnt very far. id guess 3-400 hours like this. Editting up a video now but I will say its really hard to pull of consistently and requires you to tweak stuff here and there until you fall through. Once you do though you will never get stuck on anything!
Posted by Bond OO7 on 30 Jul at 22:17
Score PlatinumVery exciting development, Bond! Look forward to seeing/hearing more.
Posted by Score Platinum on 31 Jul at 00:09
ZelinkTheOneThe spot (unless it's different from the one I use somehow) is very easy to get into. It's just a matter of the % going up without issue.
Posted by ZelinkTheOne on 31 Jul at 00:58
Bond OO7Solution is updated. I'm sure there is other places you do a similar thing but this is the one I got to work. It does take a some tweaking to get under the floor fully though
Posted by Bond OO7 on 31 Jul at 01:25
Frank9080You dont have to use the sticks to get through the invisible floor, just hold/tape down RB/LB and you fall right through no problem. Makes it a little easier than trying to find the perfect ollie point.
Posted by Frank9080 on 31 Jul at 02:17
Bond OO7nice, i didnt even know lb/rb did anything facepalm. Good to know people are figuring out how to do it more consistently
Posted by Bond OO7 on 31 Jul at 02:41
A 2rue BooferGreat video Bond! I got it working just now, but it was a pain. I'm going to delete my guide so people go to this thread.
Posted by A 2rue Boofer on 31 Jul at 02:46
Bond OO7Just gave it a shot and that crazy! the other way u dont have to touch anything once you are under where here you have to maintain the grab but you are 100% right, it goes straight through regardless! I'm going to make a pinned comment on the video with any tips people find for this like that and ill post a copy of it here so people can hopefully find it helpful.
Posted by Bond OO7 on 31 Jul at 02:50
Bond OO7@a 2rue boofer your guide is still good if they ever patch this. my other guide covers those methods too but its a good written one whereas mine is just video.
Posted by Bond OO7 on 31 Jul at 02:55
Bond OO7Guide updated with Franks input. If you cant get the "hands free" version going try that out, just make sure you have something that will hold the bumpers down without giving way!
Posted by Bond OO7 on 31 Jul at 03:00
FEAR EPIDEMICLooks like I will be starting this up tomorrow.
Posted by FEAR EPIDEMIC on 31 Jul at 03:00
Achieve BeanHonestly this is fantastic. Hopefully they dont patch it out but I just got to 3% at around 1:20am. I know I was close to it but I don't know how close. I'm gonna head to bed to see if we can get an idea of percentage/hour using this method.
Posted by Achieve Bean on 31 Jul at 05:47
Bond OO7Yup, I started mine up at around 5:45 am and I was just minutes past 2% when I last stopped. So Ill see how much I get after a few hours.
Posted by Bond OO7 on 31 Jul at 06:30
Bond OO77:55am I checked and I'm at 3% I looked at around 7:30am and it was still 2%. So it does seem like it is actually right around 2 hours per % maybe 2hrs 10mins. So this should take between 200-220 hours based on my calculations.
Posted by Bond OO7 on 31 Jul at 06:58
Achieve BeanYep that'sa bout what I got! I checked at 3:20am and was still at 3% but I just checked at 3:43am and am at 4%.
Posted by Achieve Bean on 31 Jul at 07:44
A 2rue BooferI left mine running all night, around 20:00 until 6:00 and I went from 2% to 6%. This is definitely the fastest way to earn progress towards this achievement.
Posted by A 2rue Boofer on 31 Jul at 12:44
Score PlatinumLooking forward to trying this myself later. Truly a pleasure to witness the collaborative efforts of the community here though. Thank you all for your involvement and helping one another here. This is a chore, but within days already much more realistic!
Posted by Score Platinum on 31 Jul at 12:44
A 2rue BooferOkay so positive note, I had my controller plugged in, but the screen eventually goes dark but when I hit RT to wake it up, my achievement went from 6% to 12%!!!!! So I think it's even going faster than we previously thought. That puts me at about 1% an hour.
Posted by A 2rue Boofer on 31 Jul at 14:21
Frank9080Let us know if you can repeat that double jump in percentage. Like Bond and Wolfsbane, I'm getting 1% every 2 hours or so.
Posted by Frank9080 on 31 Jul at 16:11
Achieve BeanNegative note here from me! I left mine on from 1:20 to (last I checked) 10:40, and I'm only at 6%. I didn't get a double in my percentage and my game ended up crashing so that's probably why I didn't.
Posted by Achieve Bean on 31 Jul at 16:48
HATRED REMAINSMine crashed as well wolfsbane. I left it for a few hours. I’ve set up again, i’ll check when i get back in.
Posted by HATRED REMAINS on 31 Jul at 17:23
Supreme Sn0rkyI set this going about 2.5 hours ago and still not at 1%. A) I wish there was a way to track how far you’d travelled so at least you could see it was working b) I hate this achievement
Posted by Supreme Sn0rky on 31 Jul at 18:27
IVIVP NiGhTMaREHell yeah, you guys are gods. I'll let the PS4 users know that my glitch actually works, they'll be thrilled not to have to spend 400 hours (or 2700 based on the article published yesterday) on this damn thing lol

Much love from the Playstation community <3
Posted by IVIVP NiGhTMaRE on 31 Jul at 18:59
Spooky MScI think the video makes it look way harder than it is.

Ixtab Lullaby@Spooky MSc Thank you for your clip. That's seems way more easier to do than the original video.

Edit: I confirm, this is way easier. Took me only 2 minutes to get the thing down.
Posted by Ixtab Lullaby on 31 Jul at 23:28
Bond OO7Updated the solution with Spookys version. Yeah, while its a stupid achievement, its always nice to see a community come together to overcome something like this smile
Posted by Bond OO7 on 01 Aug at 09:00
Supreme Sn0rkyHow are people “taping” lb, rb and A down? Literally using tape or is there another way?
Posted by Supreme Sn0rky on 01 Aug at 10:07
A 2rue Boofer@Supreme, I use a rubber band. I have success just holding down the RB with a rubber band.
Posted by A 2rue Boofer on 01 Aug at 10:47
Ixtab LullabyAny tips to avoid controller disconnects? Every 20 minutes or so I need to do a little input otherwise my wireless controller is disconnected, even though I'm using two rubber bands.

Works great otherwise, went from 1% to 3% in 4 hours.

Damn, at first I was thinking it was my One's fault. Thank you for pointing that out.

Currently at 7%... Still a long way to go.
Posted by Ixtab Lullaby on 02 Aug at 01:00
Spooky MScYeah, the first night I tried it overnight I woke up on the dashboard as well.

Already having 7% is a lot better than the 2700 hours they said it was going to take lol.
Posted by Spooky MSc on 02 Aug at 01:07
Spooky MScSomeone mentioned taking a few minutes on the setup, which really shouldn't take more than a couple seconds. So I put together a quick video showing the full setup.

When you spawn into downtown LA, press Y to go into the "Spawn" view (IDK what it's called), the building with the bottomless abyss is the first one on the right. You can clip through the concrete part of the walls incredibly easily.

IVIVP NiGhTMaRETwo things: somebody on the UK PS4 version of the game has reported save data corruption. With no way to see our trophy stats, we don't know what this means for trophy progress. I'm also not sure if he just left his game going for days, or if he was using *this glitch (since this usually results in crashes after a handful of hours). Here is a link to that forum thread so you can see what's going on if you're interested https://forum.psnprofiles.com/topic/92579-around-the-world/?...

Also: the devs changed the USA PS4 trophy from 3 Treflips to 10 Treflips but didn't do the same for the UK version. So, they're updating trophy/achievement lists and are not changing the 40,000km trophy. What a swell bunch of dudes...
Posted by IVIVP NiGhTMaRE on 02 Aug at 22:18
Spooky MScAwesome job on 19%! I've been too nervous to leave it running while no one is home, and I I guess i messed up somehow last night and earned 0%, but I'm at 14% now and setting up for the night :)
Posted by Spooky MSc on 03 Aug at 02:22
Achieve BeanYeah I just currently leave it on when I go to bed, then I wake up and shut it off, give it a couple hours of rest and start over. So i'm doing 2 sessions a day and sometimes an extra small session for a percentage or two.
Posted by Achieve Bean on 03 Aug at 05:25
A 2rue BooferI've literally been having my xbox run nearly nonstop since we found the method and I'm currently at 40%. Not sure if im the farthest along, but based on my math I expect to be done around Saturday or Sunday. It freezes A LOT, so I reset it any chance I can.
Posted by A 2rue Boofer on 03 Aug at 14:34
Bond OO7I'm on 29% and I haven't had a freeze unless I try and input something other than a stick movement (which I use to check it's still going). I reset it now and then because of people saying they have had it freeze, my longest stretch was around 14 hours before I reset it. It was still going when I did though.

Edit: reached 30% while I was typing this 😂

S2k JØYKiLLYou’re all using the Spooky Method?
Posted by S2k JØYKiLL on 03 Aug at 15:43
Spooky MScDamn, awesome job Boofer. I'd say that's definitely furthest ahead. I've been getting a fair amount of freezing/dashboarding. Funny enough when I have it on during the day and check on it, it runs flawlessly, but the last 2 nights it rest right away I guess and gave me 0%. Good luck with closing it out!

@S2k JØYKiLL, credit where credit is due, this is the brainchild of IVIVP NiGhTMaRE (BCarsonElite on PS4), I just compiled the community's tweaks into one post.

That being said, yes I think that is the quickest and most up to date method, unless @A 2rue Boofer or @Bond OO7 have further adapted it.
Posted by Spooky MSc on 03 Aug at 15:51
A 2rue BooferNope, all credit goes to IVIVP Nightmare, a literal God lol. I just rubberband down my RB and fall through and it's usually good. Hoping to be at 50% by EOD Mountain Time.
Posted by A 2rue Boofer on 03 Aug at 16:01
S2k JØYKiLLOk Thanks Everyone I Really Appreciate it
Posted by S2k JØYKiLL on 03 Aug at 18:51
Bond OO7No I haven't further adapted it. I am still using the method that requires no inputs once I'm under as I haven't had it crash like that yet so I wanna stick with it. Been able to get under 1st try the last couple times now so I'm getting much better at it. I will say, I do the fliptrick and then release it after a couple seconds now instead of holding it the whole time.

Posted by A 2rue Boofer on 08 Aug at 15:56
mattxwestHow annoying! It was in the back of my head that it would happen too. I think I'll get mine to 95% and leave it, until the Unlock All is fixed. My OCD is too bad, that I couldn't unlock this, without that at the same time hahaha. At least my Xbox One will get some much needed rest by the time they fixed the Unlock All though.
Posted by mattxwest on 08 Aug at 22:37
Score PlatinumHope to hear confirmation the final one unlocks soon. I've been a PS gamer most my time, but have heard these unlock all other achievements tend to not unlock correctly. Is it a server side issue? Or just flat out of luck all together? With the platinums on the PS, it used to be just a simple server side check being late. But here's hoping it's resolved, and soon!
Posted by Score Platinum on 08 Aug at 23:11

Posted by AllaHeterSven on 09 Aug at 00:44
LethalTurkey7Found that you can find more consistent spots to fall through the ground by complete getting out of bounds in Downtown Los Angeles. While you fall through the ground, you hit 'Y' and go into the marker mode and you can move your mark underneath the map until you pass the borders then you can completely be out of bound and I have found a few spots that are easy to find a way to boost this consistently.
Posted by LethalTurkey7 on 09 Aug at 00:52

Posted by Spooky MSc on 10 Aug at 14:09

Posted by ElDylto1612 on 17 Aug at 05:49
Spooky MSc@ElDylto1612 We've done some testing on it, holding LB and RB is more consistent, but the extended flip trick method is way less prone to crashing. If you are able to check on it semi-regularly, holding grab is fine though.
Posted by Spooky MSc on 17 Aug at 20:51

I manualled for an hour down the LA streets and it's still showing 0%. I'd imagine all my game activity should've been at least 400km for 1% at least?

Spooky MScYeah downloading the 3.4 Gb patch now. I've been sitting at 97% on this one, so I may unlock it mow to see if it fixed achievement hunter. Provided this clip will works.

Spooky MSc@The Last Azn, there is no in game stats, but the Xbox Achievement Tracker works fine for it. Doing this through regular play will probably take close to 200 straight hours for 1%.

Spooky MScDecided to finally finish up this achievement, was scared they'd patch something else and lose my progress before patching the Achievement.

Here's hoping they ever decide to patch it.

ElDylto1612@Spooky, well done, I’m only on 7%, but I did manage to find some tape, so hopefully this’ll go a bit quicker now
