Way I did this was to set up a Team Jam Session (Note: must be Jam Session, cannot be done in pro-tour) with Cat and Mouse, and set the rounds to 5 or more. When 4 or more players have joined your session, start. The mouse selection is random, I have been the mouse twice in succession, while others have not been the mouse once in the 5+ games we played. Set it to more than one game so that you dont have to go back to the lobby over and over, just waste's time.

Winning isn't easy, you need to beat the other Mini, whilst avoiding getting the crap knocked out of you by the other team's Group B cars, but if you race clean and hope that your team is good at blocking, you'll get it no problem.

Please note!: Some have mentioned that if you do not join the game on the first round, you will not get the achievement. I personally did not have this problem, but please be aware of it if it does not unlock for you. - Thanks to I Anger I for pointing this out.
I Anger I Apparently if you join in any round except the first you will not get the achievement. I have joined on round 2 and went on to win several times and havnt got the achievement. You might want to add this to your solution to make it clear that you have to start in the first round and stay through all rounds (being the mouse at least once and your team finishing 1st overall) to get this achievement

yollom69 This is a hugely annoying achievement to get and, in the absence of a boosting session, relies quite a bit on luck. Two things that helped me

1. If you are on a side with fewer players than the other team give up and find another session. Being short numbered is hugely disadvantageous. Unless your team is all super talented and the opposition extra rubbish you won't be able to win.

2. Only block for your own mouse when you're leading. If the other mouse is in the lead they need to be stopped. Sounds obvious but again I played so many games where I was the only one trying to stop the opposition mouse, or where I was the mouse and people were blocking for me, yet the opposition mouse was simply running away with it.. If the opposition mouse crosses the line before yours, you lose.

Cannot comment on the needing to be in for round 1 as when it popped for me I was the mouse in round 1

EldritchSS I got this today by joining a five round match in round 4. I was on the team leading 3 to 1, and I was the mouse in round 5 and I won the race. Afterwards on the loading screen I got the achievement. I think you have to win as the mouse and your team has to win the overall event as well.
