In total there are 6 challenge areas which vary in difficulty. Some are easier than others, but they require some patience and practice. I recommend that you do one or two runs through the arenas to learn where everything is, and how to navigate the areas. Once you're ready, you will need to make your way through the arena of choice as quickly as possible. To earn the high scores you will need to make sure you take no damage, hit as many point orbs as possible and finish with a time. If you collect all the orbs but cross the finish line without a time, you won't hit the four star rating.

It's possible to take some damage is illustrated in the video, but as long as you don't keep repeating the same mistake and lose multiple groups of 100 points, you get get away with taking one or two hits. If you do happen to hit a section with fire and end up catching on fire yourself. Use it to your advantage and speed through the rest of the fire traps. You won't take extra damage or lose more point unless you stand around for long periods of time.

I highly recommend that you obtain all the ability upgrades before you attempt these as some of the extra abilities improve your chances of completing with ease.

You can find the areas in the following areas:

Abadis Forest
Archer's Pass
Aurora Village
Cirromon Caverns
The Sorrowing Meadow
The Glade

Fizzmatix You really don't need a map to find these challenge areas, just look for the un-explored areas on the map. I've added screenshots of all the locations anyhow though.

Brooklyn Gin Might want to add that the "The Glade" and "Aurora village" are labeled wrong in the video. I just got this achievement. After a fucking hour! Serious raging getting them done. Serious raging. I'm going to have a beer to calm myself down. I love this game so much but these challenges make me fucking sick.

Killipo Good guide. Although most of the challenge is in memorizing the course (and you can't really write that into someone's memory.)

As for actually learning the course and speeding up your time, I broke the maps down into parts. I tried to figure out the fastest most efficient way to get through each part, would practice the part that way each run-through, and after about 3-5 runs would 4 star the thing every time.

Your biggest time-wasters aside from getting hit will be attacking those orbs. Always find a good way to hit and run. My recommendation is doing the flying dust storm (jump + y) as often as you can, and slide attacks help in some parts as well. This made several seconds of difference for me in a few trials, and ultimately got me the achievement in the end.

Redd Five I noticed that you get more time on the timers at lower difficulties. I simply couldn't do one of the challenges fast enough on Tough difficulty. You can run a new playthrough on Easy to the Meadow in about 3 hours, I imagine.

Hyyr I myself could not see any difference in the times with the different difficulty settings. I went through the entire game on easy mode, just to finish these dratted challenges. I could only complete a single one, no different from Hard difficulty. These challenges really suck, the one thing I hate about this game, and the reason I would never recommend it to completionists.

OverkillChaos Easily done when you max out best gear, and get to level 60.

BiGPaPaRu So does difficulty affect this? My normal run didn't save and I really don't want to play a third time.

lolmanX0 Cirelian Trial 4 angry

Darth Lordi I just spent ages on Cirelian Trial 4 after watching the videos. The problem was I couldn't see how he was doing the 5th to 6th target and kept trying to emulate it. I think he fluked it.

What you want to do is get to the 4th target with about 35 seconds. Then, unlike the video, drop down the edge of the flame, rather than wait for the flame to go out. This will give you a couple more seconds to hit the 5th target and then up and over the 6th target. If you do not make it across in that window you will not have enough time to finish the rest. Then make it through as the video suggests.

Hyyr No, for me at least, difficulty seemed to have no effect on the trials.
