This is a REALLY REALLY LONG PROCESS! Might be even longer than the Main Story! (maybe 4 times!)
I can confirm that the encyclopedia is NOT needed for this achievement as that is the only one I have not completed due to a glitch.
What you need to do is first look at your DNA TRACKER
Everything and anything in there is required for this achievement!
You need a grand TOTAL of 17070 points
This is what you need to get this achievement:
Challenge levels will be labeled as C1,C2,C3

----100% SYNC Main missions----------------------------------------------------------

Sequence 7- To be undetected by air assassinating a grenadier also. Right ship go through the back and wait until each guard walks opposite directions, light fuse and jump off. Left ship go through the side where cannons are not firing. take out the guard looking out into the water when grenadier isn't looking. Then make your way to the right side of the boat behind the crates. Whistle and kill the guard then whistle again for the grenadier and jump on the crate to air assassinate him. Rinse and Repeat for the last guards.

----Hunting Society missions------------------------------------------------------------
Find the cabin directly east of the most northern area of the frontier, it's right on the trail, can't miss it. East of the fort location there.
----Hunting Society Challenges (1,2 & 3)-----------------------------------------------
----Boston Brawlers Missions--------------------------------------------------------------

Tournament location is right here-

----Boston Brawler Challenges (1,2 & 3)-------------------------------------------

C3--Save your money or go hunting because you need to buy EVERY weapon in the shop!

----Frontiersman Missions--------------------------------------------------------------

These are really easy, just look for the icon on your maps and just do them.

----Frontiersman Challenges (1,2 & 3)----------------------------------------------

[ Find George Washington ] in Sequence 9.1. When you gain control of Connor turn around, look for the W on your map and get your conversations recorded. You also need to speak with him in New York post game.

You have to reveal a total of 90% of the map. A large portion of New York and Frontier cannot be revealed via Viewpoints alone. You have to walk/run the rest of it. The Frontier is a little easier, since you can just free run through trees to reveal the map faster, Newyork is a little trickier since the northern portion is mostly farmland

----Thief's Club Challenges (1,2 & 3)--------------------------------------------------

C3-[ Lure a guard dog with bait] - There is one dog in a rectangular size open sided building in West New York, along the main North,South street.

OR

Go to the Frontier. From there, fast travel to the Tavern at Lexington. Go south, there will be a officer and a guard dog. Use your bait once, kill the officer or escape and fast travel to the Tavern again. This will reset the enemies and repeat 2 more times for the challenge

C1-[catch a courier task]-wait around at a busy street and don't move, he will just come out of nowhere in a couple minutes. Also guards will start chasing you so just disregard them.

Steal everything a rich citizen has- If you follow the same person and keep pickpocketing them, you can steal stuff up to three times.

-----Liberate every area of Boston and New York----------------------------------
Most of these will appear on non liberated areas on the map, if not, run around said area and it will pop up and listen closely as people might be calling out to you for help.

---- Assassin recruiting missions--------------------------------------------
Will pop up after you have liberated a zone with the grand total of 6 assassins. You'll have to do missions first for them to unlock.

Another important tip is that they ALL need to be level 11 by the time your 84 contracts are finished. If they need some levels after contracts you can gain exp by summoning them in battle.

----Liberate FORTS--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

EVERY fort is in the corner of the every area.

----Discover all of BOSTON and NEW YORK underground.-------------------

The New York locations - South Market - will not be considered "discovered" until Sequence 11, which will turn it from 84% discovered to 100% These take a long time! Basically look for any routes going in a different direction then the other fast travel locations once underground. Make sure you have enough gun bullets also.

----Assassination Contracts------------------------------------------------------------------

You have to kill five targets that will appear on your map after you accept the assassination contracts.

----Courier Missions-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

These seem the only citizen missions not glitched as it will show up on your map automatically.

----Delivery Requests------------------------------------------- (credit MattyJWest)

MISSIONS WILL JUMP FROM 33,66 TO 100% FOR EACH AREA COMPLETED.
-West New York is on the docks, almost at the top of the district, just north of the white walled fort on your map
-East New York is slap bang in the center of his district, just a little north of a fast travel node.
-North New York is outside a building to the south of his district, near the docks, almost in a direct line south on the map from the fort fast travel node.
-Lexington Frontier Is just south of the Lexington fast travel, standing outside a tall white house on the east-ish side of town.
-Troy's Wood Frontier is in the northeast tip of the region, where three houses form a little triangle on the map.
-Valley Forge Frontier can be found the the west beach in this region, near a house which had a watermill if memory serves me right. Basically in the center and as far west as you can go in the region.
-Boston South is right on the border between South and Central Boston, where the southmost edge of Central meets the (almost) eastmost side of South. He's outside a house not too far away from the beach.
-I believe Boston Central was (this one is a little hazy) somewhere near the eastmost bridge leading over to Boston North.

----100% SYNC Naval missions--------------------------------------------------------------
----100%SYNC Naval Locations--------------------------------------------------------------
----100% Naval Privateer Contracts-----------------------------------------------------------

Another way to expose the powder stores is barraging front of the ship with your cannonballs. It isn't fail proof but it is safer since you don't have risk of taking much damage. The timing is a bit hard to land but so is ramming the front of the ship.

THE GIANT AND THE STORM-getting the 3 powder kegs to reveal themselves is very rage inducing but I finally managed to do it by chain shooting them and separating them quite a bit. Then I took my time and shot at the front of the ships to reveal the powder stores. Also you can come to a complete stop before shooting the bow of the ships but just make sure be careful of the main ship as it does have cannons in the front.

----ALL Homestead missions-----------------------------------------------------------------

These are easy as they will appear on your map automatically depending on how far you are in the story.

----Homestead inventions----------------------------------------------------------------------

After doing all the homestead missions for every artisan, grabbing the almanacs. Just start crafting all of them because you'll be able to purchase the resources in the stockpile in order to craft every invention.

COLLECTIBLES-Try to buy all the maps in the general store to make life easy for you

----Almanacs----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Before approaching these, make sure you have a set path that you can run in order to chase it to decrease the chances of losing it. If you don't want to wait for it, pick a fight with a group of guards and let them kill you and you will respawn in the immediate area.

----Open all chests ------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Some chests are underground so scan the perimeter to look for a cave entrance (the entrances are by rocks ) and there is one tricky chest in Lexington and there will be a cave opening from the top.
There is one chest in central Boston that is actually INSIDE a gamble house/tavern so it won't show on your map.

----Collect all Feathers--------------------------------------------------------------------------

These are in the frontier and mostly perched up in trees.

----Peg leg Trinkets-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
collecting all of these lead to the KIDD missions and yes they are required to be 100% SYNC and are listed under Naval locations

If you need any specific help with a challenge and/or mission leave a comment and I'll update it for everyone to see. If you have any tips i'll be happy to post it on here.

Some things will come easier than others but others will make you want to rip your fingernails out.

Credit too all the great comments before. Thanks a lot in making this guide better
vikingbloodlustfor the crafting inventions, how do you level the characters up enough to build the items?
Posted by vikingbloodlust on 06 Nov 12 at 06:29
Zedymieon77They homestead characters can craft better stuff the more you do their homestead missions. Just do the missions and then worry about the items later.

vikingbloodlustSweet, thanks.

AnxsighetyThe problem with this solution is that what is necessary is kind of obvious. The problem is that you don't talk about anything the really helps achieve it.

For example, that encyclopedia of the common man isn't needed. Where can people find the Washington convos for the Frontier challenge? What about where the delivery requests are since they don't show up on the map? Where can people find the Boston Brawlers, Hunting Club, and such?

Just saying.
Posted by Anxsighety on 06 Nov 12 at 07:13
Zero Judgement^- This. It's basically a summary with a bit more info about what task is. Not really a solution when you are stuck. Hopefully this solution will be updatedas AWESOME mentioned with locations since they don't show up on the map at the moment. There is a more concrete solution to the courier. Random waiting isn't a method which always works.
Posted by Zero Judgement on 06 Nov 12 at 07:25
MangaPowerZeroCurrently I'm a serious problem with the delivery missions. I'm certainly sure I've completed some of them and delivered the items to the person who requested them, but the stats says I've 0% of progression in this section. I don't know if it's a bug or it will unlock to 100% once I finish all missions, but I'm wondering if I'll have to replay the whole game again...
Posted by MangaPowerZero on 06 Nov 12 at 07:59
MattyJWestTook forever to find these guys, so if you're looking for the Delivery Contract missions, I can confirm a few locations for you:
-Boston North was the first one I did and I'm afraid I've forgotten exactly where this one cropped up. If someone spots it, leave a comment to help out! :)
Hope this helps out, this achievement is taking for-f**king-ever to complete! Oh, and xDAx AWESOME, if you're looking for the Washington conversations, there is one post-game in south-west New York, but the other ones are back in Sequence 9-1, after you begin the mission just head north and you'll find the same 'W' marker. There are couple of conversations that need to be unlocked there.
Posted by MattyJWest on 06 Nov 12 at 08:12
MattyJWest@MangaPowerZero For some godawful reason the Delivery missions don't update until you've finished all three deliveries in each area. Take a look at the list above and hopefully you can find the ones you're missing. It'll bump up by 33% once all three deliveries are completed in each zone.
Posted by MattyJWest on 06 Nov 12 at 08:15
Mr StoatThere is no Boston north delivery quest. Just one in central and one in the south. There are 3 in NY and 3 in the frontier.
Also the Washington conversations you need can be found at the beginning of 9.1 and an additional one postgame in NY
Posted by Mr Stoat on 06 Nov 12 at 09:20
Rheinadleryou have to do the free roam washington conversation first, then the ones in sequence 9. i did the two in the mission first, then the one in new york and that didnt do it. when i did the mission ones again, it worked.
Posted by Rheinadler on 06 Nov 12 at 10:58
noth1ngness69Also what about guard dog locations. That would help for people who have all the chests
Posted by noth1ngness69 on 06 Nov 12 at 13:16
SamphaaCan someone confirm if encyclopedia of the common man counts towards this. My encyclopedia glitched for me. But i dont know if i should start a new game or continue with the one im on, i dont want to get to 99% and find the last 1% i need is the encyclopedia
Posted by Samphaa on 06 Nov 12 at 14:07
NmE Se7enxgood solution don't no why people down vote it is as you have everything layed out correctly do people expect you to play the game for them 2 thumbs up.
Posted by NmE Se7enx on 06 Nov 12 at 15:59
SolidCoolGuyGame does NOT glitch out, your last chest in central boston is INSIDE the tavern which DOESN'T show on your MAP
Posted by SolidCoolGuy on 06 Nov 12 at 18:09
Zero Judgement@KyoJinsei What SolidCoolGuy says is correct. Just explore a little bit more. I often get messages from people who think their game is glitched but most of the time people aren't thorough enough. They want everything on a silver platter handed to them.

@Samphaa As far as I know the Encyclopedia counts towards the 100% since it is a Side mission.

@Noth1ngness69 Go to the Frontier. From there, fast travel to the Tavern at Lexington. Go south, there will be a officer and a guard dog. Use your bait once, kill the officer or escape and fast travel to the Tavern again. This will reset the enemies and repeat 2 more times for the challenge complete.

Calex dEUSGreat work so far, only thing I could suggest is maybe a checklist / summery at the beginning or end.
Posted by Calex dEUS on 06 Nov 12 at 23:07
WreckItRalph521What exactly has to be done in order to get the Frontiersmen challenge for fully revealing the Frontier map?

First I thought all icons discovered then someone told me they have it completed without all the fast travel icons. I don't think it has to be fully revealing the map, since I have the NY map challenge completed, and there are blank spots in North NY.

Only thing I can think of holding me back is the fact that even though I did all the citizen missions every time I load an area it says citizen mission item collected, and when I look at the overall map for the Frontier it says I have one citizen mission discovered even though it should say zero considering I completed everything other then the tier three challenges.
Posted by WreckItRalph521 on 07 Nov 12 at 00:22
Mobius EvalonEncyclopedia of the common man does not count toward this achievement. I earned Completionist without completing the encyclopedia.

Revealing the map is exactly what it sounds like. There is a threshhold though (something like 90% of the actual map surface revealed, and not the "entire" map as it suggests). Just keep running through foggy areas on the map and you'll get it.

You can find a guard dog in the frontier right outside of the general store in the Lexington area.

The assassination contract in the frontier is found in the Monmouth area, north of the fort. Go to the tavern (denoted by the minigame icon on the map) and the quest giver is outside of the only other house on your minimap in this area.

OtakuPaulWhats the easiest way to get a powder keg showing for the giant and the storm mission
Posted by OtakuPaul on 07 Nov 12 at 08:04
Mobius EvalonPowder stores are only stored up front, but nailing only that area with cannonballs is rough. I rammed the front ends of the ships, and that did an excellent job of exposing the powder store. I also had the naval ram and both reinforcement upgrades equipped, and you'll definitely need both playing bumper boats.
Posted by Mobius Evalon on 07 Nov 12 at 08:24
OtakuPaulThanks you were a big help now all i have to do is buy two more upgrades for the ship and im done with this game
Posted by OtakuPaul on 07 Nov 12 at 08:44
JakeythedudeI searched the web for quite awhile regarding the answer to the Frontiersman challenges for revealing map.
I found a useful post on Gamefaqs.

"You have to reveal a total of 90% of the map. A large portion of New York and Frontier cannot be revealed via Viewpoints alone. You have to walk/run the rest of it. The Frontier is a little easier, since you can just free run through trees to reveal the map faster, Newyork is a little trickier since the northern portion is mostly farmland."

Would be useful to throw this in the solution.

For the exploration of New York, use the roads in the upper part to reveal quite a bit of the map. Using your horse to increase your travel speed also works. As a general rule for the cities, I recommend walking/riding your horse along the borders of the town and have all the roads discovered. I did this before I got the challenge and as soon as I got the challenge, both NY and Boston were already at 90%.

I thought the Enclyclopedia also counts since it is a Homestead mission?
Posted by Zero Judgement on 07 Nov 12 at 09:45
Mobius EvalonI unlocked Completionist before the encyclopedia achievement. It's definitely not required, and doesn't show up as an item in the DNA tracker, either.
Posted by Mobius Evalon on 07 Nov 12 at 10:01
Ibanez V7"Might be even longer than the Main Story". No, it's about 4 times LONGER.
Posted by Ibanez V7 on 07 Nov 12 at 10:44
NmE Se7enxgetting the 3 powder kegs to reveal themselves on the giant and the storm is very rage inducing but i finally managed to do it by chain shotting them and then ramming them in the front at half sails hope it helps.
Posted by NmE Se7enx on 07 Nov 12 at 12:04
Crimson RidleyYou may also want to include that you also have to level your recruits up to Rank 11 (Assassin), as it goes towards 100%.
Posted by Crimson Ridley on 07 Nov 12 at 21:31
ooWoodyDo you also need to fully upgrade the Anquilla for 100%?
Posted by ooWoody on 07 Nov 12 at 23:40
Mobius EvalonYes, Woody. It's listed as an item in the DNA tracker.
Posted by Mobius Evalon on 08 Nov 12 at 00:13
sickboy006For the NY underground, I've found all 11 locations, 11/11 has showed, but in my DNA tracker, it says 84% for west NY. Any ideas how to fix this? I've gone in and out of all the fast travel points for the area, all show on my map (except the south point that you first enter from, but that is a different section of NY anyway).
Posted by sickboy006 on 08 Nov 12 at 01:29
BridgeTheGidgeThe only thing I have left to finish is Sea Wolves. I hate the NPC's in this. I want to just tell them to stay the hell away. I keep getting it down the the last ship and they destroy 2 at once >.<
Posted by BridgeTheGidge on 08 Nov 12 at 03:20
Mobius EvalonYeah, those NPC friendlies in Sea Wolves are stupid as hell. They keep grouping up and heading for the frigates broadside, then get exploded 2-4 at a time. The time I finally managed to do it, two of them suicided into my ship and the rest got stuck in the rocks, which was probably the only reason I got the 100% sync.
Posted by Mobius Evalon on 08 Nov 12 at 05:26
xZxSephirothxZxI found that in Giant and the Storm with the Aquila fully upgraded you could use a point-blank heat shot (charged) on the Man-o-war revealing it's powder stores, then take the sails of the other 2 with a chain shot and shoot from a distance with an uncharged round shot (at the front). to reveal theirs too. Worked for me about 4 times out of 5.
Posted by xZxSephirothxZx on 08 Nov 12 at 12:25
Zero Judgement@sickboy

You unlock the last Underground in NY in the Story. It isn't part of the tracker but it is part of the achievement.

Rowdawg88This may be obvious but what counts as a rich citizen for the Tier 2 challenge under Thieves Club where the challenge says to "Steal everything a rich citizen has without being detected"?. Also, someone mentioned a more concrete way of finding/catching a courier, what is it?
Posted by Rowdawg88 on 08 Nov 12 at 22:27
matdanWhen you steal you get some currency, second time an item and third a larger currency amount. Probably means do all three
Posted by matdan on 09 Nov 12 at 00:09
Mobius EvalonIlysium: I know exactly what you mean, Your friendlies are pants-on-head retarded in that mission. It's 100% luck to sync the mission, because you have to hope either the enemy fleet become terrible shots, or one of the fleets gets stuck in the rocks.

Rowdawg88: I wasn't aware of it until I saw a loading screen hint, but if you follow the same person and keep pickpocketing them, you can steal stuff up to three times. I chose stationary targets and held down B.
Posted by Mobius Evalon on 09 Nov 12 at 00:21
z 4assed monkey"Don't do [Boston and New York Underground] until around sequence 11"?? This is terrible advice! Unlocking fast-travel stations lets you, um, FAST TRAVEL TO PLACES! Very convenient for map navigation.

However, it's helpful to note that one of the New York locations - South Market - will not be considered "discovered" until Sequence 11, which will turn it from 84% discovered to 100%.
Posted by z 4assed monkey on 09 Nov 12 at 06:31
Rowdawg88Does anyone have advice on catching a courier? I don't think I have seen one even after logging 30+ hrs into this game. Maybe one has been around and I havent noticed but does anyone have info on this?
Posted by Rowdawg88 on 09 Nov 12 at 18:13
NAPOLEAN121For the catch a courier challenge I stood in the middle of the street in Boston and waited....and waited ... and waited nothing happened so being pissed off I started stealing from all the citizens that were walking around, then after the fourth one all of a sudden the courier showed up, I chased him down and tackled him and got the challenged completed. If you think about it it makes sense a "courier" is a guy carrying a message so what it is is the guy sees you stealing from people then tries to carry a message to report you. So steal away .. steal away
Posted by NAPOLEAN121 on 10 Nov 12 at 02:35
Mobius EvalonI ran around the streets of New York at random trying to spawn a courier on purpose, then when I got frustrated and stopped to check TA I heard "Get away from me!" on my headset -- the courier spawned nearly directly behind me about 20 seconds after I set down my controller.
Posted by Mobius Evalon on 10 Nov 12 at 09:12
Rowdawg88@CRAZY G121 and Mobius Evalon, thanks for the advice. I have talked with George Washington in the post game in NY and then went back to Seq9.1 and talked to him after the initial cutscene by going to the back of the camp. I then went back to NY and now I can only play bowls with him. Are there any other conversations? Do I need to win or lose to get another conversation?
Posted by Rowdawg88 on 10 Nov 12 at 15:16
Mobius EvalonThat was all I needed to do to get the challenge completed. If all he does post game is play bowls, you must need to hear more from him in mission 9-1. There's like three different exchanged between Connor and Washington in that mission.

BobWingsI am looking for strategies specifically for the naval mission the Giant and the Storm. The optional objective is to destroy 3 ships by shooting their weak points. The rough seas make the mission very challenging. any tips would be greatly appreciated!
Posted by BobWings on 10 Nov 12 at 22:27
Mobius EvalonWhat has worked for me and others is to take out the masts with chainshots, then ram the front of the ship to expose the powder barrels.
Posted by Mobius Evalon on 10 Nov 12 at 22:42
ElyohI'm stuck on the thief missions...I've done the second set of challenges, but the game isn't giving me the third set. How do I get it to unlock? :/
Posted by Elyoh on 11 Nov 12 at 03:14
I Ebon Hawk IWhen you guys rammed the front of the ships to expose their powder stores, did you have the Naval Ram upgrade for the Aquila at that time? I have that, and when I ram the ships, it sinks them immediately without exposing their powder stores. As a result, I'm unable to Full Sync that mission and thus can't 1000 the game. :(
Posted by I Ebon Hawk I on 11 Nov 12 at 04:34
Mobius EvalonI had the naval ram upgrade when I rammed the ships. If you don't cannonball volley them beforehand and strike the front of the ship at half sail it should still be floating afterward. At least, they did for me.
Posted by Mobius Evalon on 11 Nov 12 at 06:06
NmE Se7enxi had the Aquila fully upgraded as well but i found if i rammed them at half sails if was much more successful revealing the powder keg then at full sails.I found with full sails it seemed i had to much speed and would destroy them instead of revealing the powder keg.
Posted by NmE Se7enx on 11 Nov 12 at 16:46
hunterIVThank god the Encyclopedia achievement isn't need. Fucking farmer glitch.
Posted by hunterIV on 11 Nov 12 at 17:42
BobWingsThanks for the giant and the storm tips! Worked very well for me. In addition, If you ram the man of war at full speed at the very beginning, most times you can expose its weak point and take it out quickly.
Posted by BobWings on 11 Nov 12 at 20:05
R3DC10V3RIf I finish the main story first will I still be able to go back and get/do side missions for full completion? Or is it better to do them as they appear? I'm on sequence 11 and stopped playing the main missions to try to knock out this achievement. Can anyone confirm I'm on thr right track or do I need to start over? I don't want to MISS anything.
Posted by R3DC10V3R on 11 Nov 12 at 21:18
o JLR Ninja oHow do you solve the magic lanterns puzzles? I found all the entrances but they don't count since I can't open them. Also where are the assassin contract located?
Posted by o JLR Ninja o on 11 Nov 12 at 23:43
Mobius EvalonR3DC10V3R: There are no missable achievements in this game. You can replay everything from the DNA tracker in the start menu.

o JLR Ninja o: When using the magic lanterns, hit Y and look for all caps text. It's really obvious if you take a quick glance through, like "ALL MASONS UNDER THE SUN" you'd put the Mason symbol on the bottom and the sun on the top, "NO MAN LEFT" is the male symbol on the left spot, etc. As for the assassination contracts, the one in the frontier is just north of the fort in the southwest corner of the map. As for Boston and New York I no longer recall, though I ran into both by accident so you should too during the campaign.
Posted by Mobius Evalon on 12 Nov 12 at 02:01
Tallguy6ft7I am having a problem with delivery request missions. I completed the east new york one and the central boston one, and there is a icon directly where the last new york mission was. I go to that spot and it say north new york delivery request. I click B button to start misson but the log doesn't pop up in my menu, I then fast travel to some where on the map and the icon is back in the same location for the North New York delivery request, it is driving me nuts. Also the other Boston delivery requests aren't coming up either. Is it glicthed? or am I missing something? I have the game completed and all homestead missions done, all chests found, all feathers collected, just these stupid delivery requests are messing with me!
Posted by Tallguy6ft7 on 12 Nov 12 at 08:58
Tallguy6ft7Ok nevermind for some reason it was glicthed lol I had to go to that spot again and accept the mission and run around in new york for like five minutes then it popped up and started naming the requirements for that delivery request.
Posted by Tallguy6ft7 on 12 Nov 12 at 09:41
Rowdawg88hey, thanks for everyone's help on this! Btw, the problem I was having with GW in Seq 9.1 was that I was skipping the cinematic..so don't be like me and be in a rush!

l3oboI'm having an issue that a few people on the ps3trophies site are having but i havent heard anyone else mention here. I've done everything in the game. I have all of my recruits up to lvl 11 assassin but in the dna tracker it still shows 90% for getting that recruit up to assassin level. Ive done all of the recruit missions and liberatex every colony... and i have no idea what to do besides wait for a patch.
Posted by l3obo on 12 Nov 12 at 22:22
ResDogsMrPinkMy game glitched on the delivery missions. I started the game by grinding out the hunters club early on...because I did this and completed all the hunters challenges before I did the frontier delivery missions. So when I accepted those delivery missions they were automatically completed. When that happened the game never registered completion for that. So after doing all the frontierontier deliverlies my counter still said zero % after completing Boston and new York my counter is stuck at 66%....anyone know how I can fix this?
Posted by ResDogsMrPink on 12 Nov 12 at 23:28
Mobius EvalonResDogsMrPink: The delivery progress tracker only updates in 33% increments, or when you complete all deliveries in one map area. If you're "stuck" on them, you need to find more delivery missions yet. There are three in each area.

IOnEI FalconIs there a way to see which weapons you already have kills with?
Posted by IOnEI Falcon on 13 Nov 12 at 05:05
soNdox2I'm stuck on a brawler mission (i think) that says to kill 5 guards with smoke under 10 secs. I've tried a couple of times but the animations take too long and the smoke clears. ANY IDEAS???
Posted by soNdox2 on 13 Nov 12 at 05:33
Mobius EvalonIOnEI Falcon: There are only five weapon types -- blunt, normal, heavy, firearm, small. Go to a general store in a city and get a kill with one of the types outside, then go back in and switch to another weapon type. The challenge takes like five minutes to complete.

soNdox2: You will never kill enemies fast enough while in open conflict or using anything but the hidden blade. Walk up behind a group of roaming enemies and toss the smoke bomb at your feet as you get right up behind the two guys in the back. When not in open conflict, Connor will stab through the entire group in about 5 seconds with his hidden blade.

IIII Aaron IIIISo there are 3 delivery missions in each area with a total of 9? Does anyone know at what sequence these are all available? And also will progressing through the story too much lock these out? Thanks for the guide it has been very helpful :)
Posted by IIII Aaron IIII on 13 Nov 12 at 11:55
ResDogsMrPinkMobius- that's what I'm saying. Unless there's 2 sets of frontier delivery challenges and 1 set doesn't start until post sequence 10 then I think I got screwed. I've did the frontier deliveries around sequence 5 and after that I completes new York's and did Boston last. 3 delivery missions in each area completed (totalling 9 so far) and my progress counter is stuck on 66%....so basically I'm asking if Theres another set of delivery missions in some area or do I have to start all over?
Posted by ResDogsMrPink on 13 Nov 12 at 12:54
ResDogsMrPink@mobius: ok I figured it out. I thought I had done all 3 frontier deliveries in seq 5 but there's one that u can't access until sequence 9...which I just found. If anyone else is having the same issue there's your problem. You may wanna add to your guide that the deliveries can't be completed until sequence 9 when you gain access to the far side of valley forge.

What is a WinDoes anyone know where I can check my thieves club challenges seeing as it is the only one I need and it doesn't show up in the logbook? Also can someone explain why the door won't open to get the last chest in the Boston Tavern because I've tried many times.
Posted by What is a Win on 13 Nov 12 at 20:54
Mobius EvalonHave you pickpocketed enough people to cause the thieves club challenges to appear? If you're stuck waiting for the level 3 challenges, you have to stand around in a town after completing level 2 until a kid runs up to you.
Posted by Mobius Evalon on 13 Nov 12 at 21:09
What is a WinOkay that's what I was confused about because I finished level 2 and didn't know why level 3 wasn't showing up. Thanks although I still can't get into the Tavern in Boston though.

IOnEI FalconSo...how many conversation with GW are there? I went back to 9.1 to talk to him and then in NY after the game is said and done and it still isn't checked. All GW wants to do now is play games.
Posted by IOnEI Falcon on 14 Nov 12 at 04:50
IOnEI FalconAlso, has anyone had the tavern in Boston just be inaccessible? My last chest in the whole game is in there and I can't get in. No prompt for B when I get close to the door, no wiry white strings around the door, nothing...
Posted by IOnEI Falcon on 14 Nov 12 at 05:57
Mobius EvalonIf I recall there are four conversations with Washington. Three in memory 9.1, and one post-game. From what I hear, you can't quickly skip through them and still receive credit, so just sit back and watch Connor instill some confidence in the man. If all Washington wants to do post-game is play bowls then you're done there, so just keep chasing after and talking to him in 9.1 until the challenge completes.

As far as this chest in the tavern, I'm not sure which one you're referring to because I did not run into that problem in my game. If I had to make an assumption, perhaps this chest you're all trying to get to is the one inside the tavern Haytham and his pals resided in at the beginning of the game? If this is the case, you should be able to load a memory from sequence 1 through 3 and get at it.
Posted by Mobius Evalon on 14 Nov 12 at 09:47
What is a WinI think it should be noted that the missing Boston chest is not in the marked Tavern but it is at the liberation contract for central Boston. That had me confused for a while.
Posted by What is a Win on 14 Nov 12 at 20:56
IOnEI FalconAhh, cool. Good call What is Win. I got the chest in spite of that one Tavern still be inaccessible. Weird.

Where does one find which areas they have already done the delivery requests for? Is there a way?
Posted by IOnEI Falcon on 15 Nov 12 at 03:07
IOnEI FalconNever mind about the finding which delivery you have done. The 33% is good enough I guess.

All I have now is to buy $40,000 worth of stuff for the ship and to find some flour to make bread. Any clues on where the flour is? I have resorted to thievery hoping to find it there.
Posted by IOnEI Falcon on 15 Nov 12 at 05:57
Mobius EvalonThere is no way of knowing which deliveries you've finished until you get all of them in one area and the counter goes up 33%. I ended up having to look up the locations of all delivery quests in two areas and going to each one to see if that was the one I missed, just because the game doesn't tell you.

I bought and crafted all delivery items at the homestead. Flour is available there to buy, but I can't remember if it's an ingredient or a material itself. You'll have to flip through the stockpile items to find it.

Inmate00187If anyone is having trouble on 7:3 conflict looms--right ship kill guy on back of ship (no firing cannons) then go for the explosives. Left ship kill guy on back of ship (same as right ship) then run up the rigging and snipe with arrows and poison until the grenadier is the last guy. On your way up the ropes you'll get noticed but not fully if you wait till the grenadier has his back to you facing the town. Took me less than five minutes after hours of trying to kill everyone.
Posted by Inmate00187 on 19 Nov 12 at 21:51
ZogiasHas anyone here run into an issue where you have finished the game and completed all the progress tracking bars to 100% EXCEPT for the almanac pages collection, even though you've collected all the pages and created all of the inventions? This is keeping me from getting the achivement, and I'm praying it's not glitched out. :(
Posted by Zogias on 20 Nov 12 at 03:38
Captain Redeye@Inmate: That mission was a pain in the ass. In the end, I killed everybody aboard the ship starting with the first one at the back of to the left (he's near the railings), then I moved along and killed the two regulars who come and stand at the portions without railings, then I swam around to the front and killed the guy that circles the crates before moving to the back of the ship once more to kill the two guards stood side by side, that left the grenadier all on his own. To air assassinate him, I climbed up the mast where where you killed the crate guard and assassinated him from there.

@SolidCoolGuy: Thank you for the Guide, this helped me loads in finding the things I had missed. I just want to add that the chain shot method for The Giant and The Storm worked like a charm for a fully upgraded Aquila. If I may, I'd recommend adding that it is wise to pull a full stop before you hit the bows of the ships. The fully upgraded ram on the Aquila oneshots the two frigates accompanying the Orpheus, pulling a full stop a few feet before you connect seems to do the trick.

Once again, thanks for your effort.

WhiskeyCharlieIn post game NY, where is GW located? As well, I went back to 9.1 and only had two conversations with him. Feeling puzzled on this one.
Posted by WhiskeyCharlie on 24 Nov 12 at 16:43
RE2LeonSThis is really going to suck. The only two I can think of that are going to give me so many problems are definitely a couple Naval missions, and those stupid 'complete hunting map'. These two things are beyond stupid. I absolutely hate the Naval missions, they'd be fun if it weren't for their insane optional requirements.
Posted by RE2LeonS on 24 Nov 12 at 21:14
WhiskeyCharlieI found GW, he's located in the south western portion of NY post-game. I noticed his symbol when I zoomed in on the map...duhh...haha. On a different note, I've completed all delivery requests, however my dna tracker still reads 0%. The only thing I can think of is for some reason I've missed one somewhere, who knows.
Posted by WhiskeyCharlie on 25 Nov 12 at 01:21
Ilysium@WhiskeyCharlie There are 3 delivery requests in the frontier, 3 in NY, and 2 in Boston....once you complete all for one zone then the DNA tracker will go up by 33% thus once all the zones are completed it will be 100%

Posted by XI AlphaMale IX on 25 Nov 12 at 22:00
PhantoM XIUm, to complete my Hunting map, I need to find two more animals in the Homestead. I believe them to be the Hare and the Beaver. Haven't seen a single Hare (strangely), but I've killed about 20 beavers (a few the other day, and a few today after a patch).

Anyone else have this problem?
Posted by PhantoM XI on 26 Nov 12 at 02:09
XI AlphaMale IXMy issue was that I had to buy something from the southern General Store in New York.

PhantoM, the drawings of the animals aren't very detailed. You may be missing something you don't realize. I'd go through the area(s) you're missing animals and just kill and investigate everything.

Posted by Mobius Evalon on 06 Dec 12 at 10:54
Minchy MunchkinUFO is not glitched, it room me a while too searching the area, but it is an umberella up in the tree.

finding a courier, I spent ages just waiting around then found a location where they are quite common - at the northern most bit of Boston there is an 'I' shaped building, just over the street and a tiny bit left (east) is a straw cart, I just hung around on the bird shit above it and as soon as the sun came up a courier appeared and they are fairly regular during the day.

Boston south delivery request is to the east of the area, right on the border to the central area near the fast travel point.

Hope this helps people.

MITCHELL3212My question is about the Assassination contracts to level up my Assassin's.
I have finished up 84 missions and there doesn't seem to be anymore spawning, so I'm wondering can I still level up my Assassin's or will I have to start over?
Posted by MITCHELL3212 on 07 Dec 12 at 07:47
Mobius EvalonAssassins gain experience any time you call them in to fight, too. If you're all out of contracts, just stir up some trouble with some enmies and hit LB.
Posted by Mobius Evalon on 07 Dec 12 at 11:21
Minchy Munchkin@ MITCHELL3212 If you check back at a later time, more missions will have appeared. I thought the same thing too, but when I started the game up later in the day, there were new missions in all the states even though they were all under assassin control.
Posted by Minchy Munchkin on 07 Dec 12 at 13:13
iChocoBeansFor the unidentified flying object mission, on the map I see the 3 frontiersman icons at the pubs, but when I go in there isn't anyone to talk to in there. I did some searching on the exact location where it's suppose to be and nothing is there. Is this a glitch? I'm stuck at 99.96% complete.
Posted by iChocoBeans on 08 Dec 12 at 01:00
Minchy Munchkin@iChocoBeans - I don't remember having to talk to people in the bars after initially getting the mission, so I can't see that as being a problem. When you get to the area have you tried using you reagle vision and looking up in the tree? If you have then I can't give you any further advice, but in my short experience with people complaining about it so far, most of them haven't lookup! I've played through the whole game twice now (not for fun, lost my save file on the cloud at 97% first time round!) and have found it both times, so no glitch for me if one exists there.
Posted by Minchy Munchkin on 08 Dec 12 at 18:36
TheBlackxRangerUFO mission is surely glitched. Do you remember a big green circle in the area to "investigate"? Well that doesnt show up for me. It doesnt tell me to go to that spot. It says to go to the bars.

DWilhelmssonHad about a dozen attempts at the Giant and the Storm, trying to shoot only the front of the enemy ships...tried the Chain Shot method and worked first time. Taking out the masts and then coming to a full stop allows you to target the front of the boats much easier, so that only the edge of the white targeting marker is hitting them.
Posted by DWilhelmsson on 20 Dec 12 at 15:40
WorhammerFor Boston South, the guy is literally just feet away from the fast travel station closest to that area you describe. Head north from there. Might want to add that, it'll make it even faster for people to find.

Renato UNSCThere is an error in the mission 10-1. I can not attack the fugitive with non-lethal blows through the air. :(
Posted by Renato UNSC on 26 Dec 12 at 18:13
Minchy Munchkin@Kossuth BH - I had a hard time with this one too. The trick is to run ahead of him perch up a little way and you need to tackle him, not assassinate him. You can get ahead easily when he runs down the alley on the right stick to the main street on the left and then looking to the left again you'll see a set of stairs down to run up next to where he will run. You can tackle him non-lethally by locking onto him with RT then pressing B when he's close. Even knowing this it took me a few attempts as I kept getting shot off my perch or locked onto the wrong guard. Hope this helps and good luck.

Renato UNSC@Minchy Munchkin- My mistake was in trying to grab the fugitive with the X out instead of using the B. I am grateful for your attention to my doubts.

Martinio140This is a good guide. I agree with it being very glitchy, they haven't developed/patched things properly and to be honest in my personal opinion I blame Far Cry 3 which they put a substantial amount of work into and not enough into this, their biggest franchise. For me it is the worst Assassin's Creed game in the series. If you were to lose your data for this game, I would recommend finding Ubisoft and just burning their companies down.

On another note after being severely disappointed with this game - You can also send Assassin's out on missions to gain money as well as hunting in The Frontier, I think it's worth a mention and might help people out a bit quicker.
Posted by Martinio140 on 01 Jan 13 at 03:28
Martinio140@Worhammer that is exactly what I did, and it is the ONLY possible way to tackle him down from above.

I went to all the locations where they are supposed to show up several times now. Without succes. I'm even pretty sure I completed them all.

I did the Captain Kidd mission at the moment it became available which gave me the ring that deflects bullits. Maybe that is the "hack" that causes this to not register anymore.

So be sure to do all side quest before you complete the story just in case.

PuckJunkieIt's worth noting that you can use the hacks you unlock by collecting the pivots when replaying old missions (naval, main story, homestead, etc.). It saves whether you completed the constraints or not. You just need to have the hacks off when you finish whatever your last item is, as the achievement will not pop if you have hacks on.

Some of these 100% sync missions are a ridiculous chore, but the hacks make several of them very easy.

Luckily I had 99% save backup so I could reload that and then called that particular recruit so many times that she reached master assassin rank and after I the last full syncs.

I thought that the Delivery Requests were bugged out for sure. I hadn't been keeping track of where I had delivered to which made it really hard to figure out what I was doing.

Unless you're writing them down as you go, here's the trick: visit each part of the map where there's a request (this link shows you where - http://www.ign.com/wikis/assassins-creed-3/Delivery_Requests) at all times of the day. After days of beating my head against the wall, I discovered that there was outstanding Delivery Requests in both Eastern and Western New York! Eastern New York appeared early in the morning and Western New York appeared at dusk. After I got those two, I got 100% for Delivery Requests.

I'll also say that I didn't just sit in New York to wait for time to pass through the day, but fast traveled back from Boston. I don't know whether this makes any difference, but my way worked.

Buggy or not? I don't know. Painful? Hell yes. But don't lose hope!

Phoenix C64i took a lot of breaks in this game, slowly unlocking a few things from now and then... this guide helped a lot alltho i had to search some youtubes as i didn't want to read through 150 comments.
when i thought i was done with everything (i didn't find a way to track which delivery missions i had not activated yet) and made sure i did all deliverys, i was still at 99% so i went to the dna tracker and saw that i hadnt crafted half of the invention.
as soon as i crafted the last invention, achievement unlocked. yay.
NOTE: some youtube and photoguides are posting wrong locations for the delivery mission givers. if you can't find a guy, try a different location guide.

IMWeasel666finally had luck on that naval mission after 30 tries. chainshot the orpheus and lead other 2 away then dont chainshot them, sideswipe them or let them ram you, dont ram them. Then go back and shoot the orpheus and an angle to hit the front. finally worked for me :)

Coll AutomataI had a hard time to find Troy's wood delivery request as the npc never show up. Searching answers from internet I thought I have run to a glitch.
After I completed other 2 delivery request (Lexington and Valley Forge) in frontier, the dna tracker showed 32% and all frontier request are done.
I haven't completed Boston or NY delivery requests which means that somehow I have done Troy's wood already. So if you cannot find Troy's wood, make sure you have completed other 2. Hopefully this help

GoatlipsWhat does the (?) symbol mean here after this achievement? It's not listed in the key? Also - how can I tell which achies are SECRET?
EDIT: "1 gamer needs help" is that what's giving the ? inside a blue circle symbol? Also, I see now SECRETS have (secret) in the description line. smile
