You need 51,000xp to reach level 10. Win gold medals throughout the Career and this will come in no time. It took me about 3 hours to reach level 10 and I played mostly Rivals & Races until I unlocked Trick which gives even more XP for shorter events.
dwk GraveyLike Teamwork, this achievement didn't unlock for me when I met the criterion; instead I played another event, and then it popped.

Redd FiveIf you can be bothered to complete the avatar famestar challenges, "star" level grants a permanent 10% xp boost (3,500 famestar points). At "megastar" you get a 7-day 25% xp boost which can be renewed ghost earning more famestar points.
