Tips for beating the final bosses:

Uninvited87can you do a chapter select for this, first playing the game on easy get all upgrades chapter select beggining set on ultra and finish?
Posted by Uninvited87 on 05 Jul 13 at 10:26
uppyb0tI believe so. I did some research and that was the feedback I was getting.
I've not tried it myself, but it seems confirmed.

I did Ultra Violence on my first playthrough and you die fast. Larger enemies will kill you in 1 hit, medium in 2, and small in 3, if you're lucky. I'm now grabbing misc achievements on easy and it is insane how many hits you can take. You can really get ballsy and run through.

x SupA II FrosTYou can't not just chapter select to the final level and do Ultra Violence. I beat the first two levels and decided to try beating just the end on Ultra Violence. It didn't award me the achievement until I beat the other two stages, so each stage needs to be beaten in Ultra Violence for it to unlock.

Wanderer128How do you get past the helicopter?
I die if I get shot once.
Posted by Wanderer128 on 10 Jul 13 at 19:00
uppyb0tThat's very early in the game.
You need to take a few shots at the pilot, until the helicopter veers out of control for a few seconds.
Use this opportunity to move forward and take cover. You'll have to repeat this a few times to make progress.

Wanderer128I just wanted to note, that if you go backwards on the floating stairs on the last level (you know, because you need ammo), well everything respawns if you do...

Got any tips for the floating stairs?
I will jump off and teleport to get health, but when you get 1-shotted, there isn't any way to get any health back because you are dead.
Posted by Wanderer128 on 11 Jul 13 at 02:11
uppyb0tAt that point I had Deadpool fully upgraded and had his pistols fully upgraded as well. Do you have your health upgraded?
As for taking on the platforms, I would pick off any flying enemies from a distance, then make my way across.
Pulse rifles are great for these guys, but I did not have it until my easy playthrough.
Once I got to the end (where wave, after wave come for you) I would run up the stairs in the middle and kill of the first waves. As the gated areas opened, I would use the extra areas for movement, ammo, and a chance to distance myself.
When the two chaingunners I would lure them up the stairs on the left (of the main stairs) and up another set on the left and use mines and traps. It worked wonders for the following Gambit clones, too. There is a mine refill inside the area just below the right side stairs.
It's quite tricky and I died a few times, but keep your eyes on your momentum and use the Y one with swords as much as possible or with hammers, but remember to teleport after it runs out or you will be prone to attack.

Wanderer128Ive bought everything and have about 4million extra to spend.
Im still in the platforming section, I havent made it to the citidel yet, Im just before it on the floating stairs where you have to get the 75 hit combo and die 10 times. And I cant get past the last checkpoint before the citadel. After the first few sections of platforms, I dont have much ammo to spare, and I am getting killed way too easily.

Wanderer128Had to restart the level and take it slowly and learn the weapon spawns, but I made it through.
I did watch one video that was really helpful during the citadel sequence where the mona-me's (explodyey-Gambits) AI is taken advantage of.

Great tip btw about the flashbangs. The pick-up gives you 2 each time. I probably could have used them more than I did.

Predator RangerFlashbangs are *the* way to go. I was ready to smash a controller until I read this and found out they respawn. Thumbs up!

HamsterLVI cant get to that fucking part, I am stuck at the checkpoint where two big blue fuckers come out and then a million regular guys...
Posted by HamsterLV on 26 Jul 13 at 20:47
uppyb0tFor them I ran up the second set of stairs on the left (if you're facing the middle stairway from the spawn area) and threw down mines and bear traps on the stairs leading up. Once they took damage and got stuck, I peeked out and shot the shit outta them. They don't last long and you can use their guns on the next waves. Use plenty of your arsenal and specials whenever they become available.

RhyoliticFor the bit w/ the two blue guys, I started off in the (if you are looking at the big staircase head on) the right room. Toss out two mines to take care of those two gunner guys, grab the mine recharge in that room and wait for the blue guys to come to you. Use the fully upgraded shotgun to take them out easy as pie. Run up the big staircase and wait at the back. Use the SMG to take out those goddamn Gambit clones.

When DP makes the comment about buying in bulk, toss a mine down at the left hand side, top of the stairs (if looking out from that room). That'll knock down the damage buffing X-23 or whatever she is. Use the SMG to take her out. When the sword guys show, hit 'em with the flashbangs and one-shot them. Stay up in that dead end and take them out as they come to you.

Don't bother with the blue guys' guns since you move slow as molasses with 'em and those Gambit guys will get you.

imjustVaughnJust finished my ultra violence play through, just a tip, fully upgrade the shotguns as soon as possible. Maxed, they will tear through anything. Earthquakers couldn't touch me. They were my saving grace in the last part of the game.

KillaKevin24Phenomenal advice for the flashbangs against the final bosses saved me loads of screaming a the television. A+++++++

diseased maniacRead on the X360A forums that during the Marauders boss battle, you should take down Arclight, Blockbuster, & the tornado guy but leave Vertigo alive. Drop your bear traps at the top of the stairs then wait for more to respawn (takes about 90 seconds). Resupply, drop traps & repeat until you've dropped 30+ traps (I did 50+), then take
down Vertigo. Stay near the traps when the Sinister battle starts & most of them will spawn right into bear traps. I did this on ultraviolet difficulty & took no damage from the Sinister clones- I just pummeled them with my hammers & shotguns while they tried to get free of the traps.

Bear traps helped a bit, that and when I got hit tele porting like crazy to escape harm
Posted on 28 Apr 14 at 23:28
ChucklestyleThe bear traps trick is a lifesaver. Made the last battle a cakewalk. Using the shotguns and plasma guns on the way there made it (mostly) painless.

After the final battle the cheevo didn't pop for me, so I went back and did the intro level on ultra-violence and then it popped.
Posted by Chucklestyle on 24 May 14 at 02:49
the Faded RoninDamn those bear traps really were the way to go, but u have to be patient for spawns. I personally laid traps at the bottom of the stairs. I also laid traps there any time I didn't have enemies rushing which helped throughout the finale.

DaFlixlHas anyone a tip for me on how to get past the part, where you play as Rogue? Thx!
Posted by DaFlixl on 04 Mar 16 at 11:53
DarthArmerFinally got this. 30 bear traps and it was a breeze. You just have to be patient for the traps to respawn. Still much faster than dying 30 times and starting over.
