The diving bell first becomes available after Sequence 6, Memory 1, "Diving for Medicines." Thereafter it becomes available for sale as a ship upgrade for 5,000R.

Note that you don't have to actually fully plunder all wrecks, you merely have to put the diving bell in the water at each.

Each wreck and its corresponding location follow (credit to www.vgfaq.com):

Ambergris Key 55, 178
Anotto Bay 621, 277
Antocha Shipwreck 630, 660
Devil's Eye Caverns 487, 357
Jiguey 565, 539
Kabah Ruins 769, 145
La Concepcion Shipwreck 186, 296
Petite Caverne 901, 264
San Ignacio Wreck 378, 769
San Juan 479, 487
The Black Trench 215, 449
The Blue Hole 471, 170

Segmentnext.com has a detailed written walkthrough of each of these locations here:

OdadjianActual I do appreciate the effort but I voted negatively because there is no written reference guide. If you could actually say (in written words) how many such underwater diving locations there are, and their actual locations (written coordinates), that would be great. I would upvote.

BigBoomKC Thanks for clarifying the negative vote, friend. I appreciate the feedback for future reference!

TheIcemanCometh It would also be nice to know at what point in the story you get access to the diving bell. I just started sequence 5 and don't have it yet.

Oh, and just a hint. Fixing it now and not "for future reference" shows people that you care about your solutions and whether they help people. Just sayin'. smile

BigBoomKC Iceman - I appreciate the hint. This was the first solution I put on this site and I wasn't ready for how high the readers' standards here are.

That aside, I'd be glad to update this solution, but already sold this game back...I'll see if I can pick the missing info off the internet and update the solution that way.

Thanks for the feedback! I do appreciate it!

n1ckthequick Just thought I would mention that the achievement popped for me without ever visiting Jiguey, so I don't think it is necessary to go there. Great guide nonetheless!

Js2Death I am on the sequence 8 memory 1 and I have visited every avaible location and cleared it out what am I missin

MonkyPorter1983 Some info to add to your guide:

When looking at the map the different colours of the icons can help you figure out what places you still need to visit.

An icon surrounded by a blue fog is a place that you have not even travelled to yet.
A black icon is a place you have travelled to and visited.
A grey icon is place you have travelled to but not visited.

If you have visited some locations but you cannot remember which ones you just have to look for the locations with grey icons on the map, those are the ones you are missing for the cheevo.

justG0Twicked What am I missing? I have completed Abstergo challenges for "loot all underwater chests" and "explore all underwater shipwrecks", and the achievement will still not pop - I went back to all of the places on the list, and I am still w/o the achievement. Anyone work through this problem???

Magnificent X just got the cheevo :) ty for pointing out you dont need to collect everything :) +1 for me !!!

Rev0Knuckle This one just wont unlock for me. Like justGOTwicked I've been to each location numerous times and plundered all the loot but still no achievement. Really irritating as it's my last single player achievement.

justG0Twicked **Update** the achievement now shows under my unlocked achievements for this game. It just showed up last night (8.07.14), and has an unlock date of 7.23.16 on it. So, it basically gave me credit for unlocking it 15 DAYS after I did it. Be patient, and hopefully this will unlock for others having the same problem that I encountered.

karlempson This unlocked for me before i did them all. I didn't do Anotto Bay and it unlocked.

darkavenger786 Just a heads up, I went to all of them apart from Ambergris Key (bottom left of the map) and the achievement popped

Specialist01 Same for me.. I've been to all locations and plundered all the chests but no achievement :(
