Using a advanced strength potion which gives 260% Melee damage and a Diamond sword with a minor damage upgrade from the enchantment tables/books (I had sharpness II) on a monster will net you this achievement.

To make the Strength Potion II you will need.

2 x Blaze Rod
3 x Sand/Glass
3 x Cobblestone
1 x Nether Wart
1 x Glowstone Dust
1 x Crafting Table
1 x Furnace + Fuel
1 x Water Source
10 x Obsidian + Flint and Steel (if nether is required for materials)

Create a Brewing Stand from the 4th box in the Structure menu by combining 3 cobblestone and a blaze rod at a crafting bench. Blaze rods can be acquired in Fortresses from blazes in the Nether (get 2 rods to save time).
Use the 2nd blaze rod to create blaze powder from the Food tab either by pressing X or using a crafting table.
Use 3 sand in the furnace to create glass.
Use 3 glass to create glass bottles from the tools and weapon tab in the crafting table.
Find a water source block and fill the glass bottles with water.

Now return to your brewing stand. In the brewing stand menu.
Add the Water bottle to the brewing stand.
Add Nether Wart to a Water Bottle to create an awkward potion.
Add Blaze Powder to the awkward potion to create a strength potion.
Add Glowstone Dust to the Strength Potion to get a Strength Potion II

Drink the potion, once active red bubbles should emit from the player. Simply hit an enemy (I used a monster not sure if it works for animals) with the low enchanted sword for the achievement.

If any steps are unclear, let me know I'll try and assist.
Homunculus Furyok I have everything for this except for the blaze rod. However I killed most of the mob spawners in the fortress in the nether. Can I reset the nether and would my portal still be where it should be?

Homunculus FuryAlso +1 on the solution from me for explaining what materials I need to make the potion. I have everything except the blaze rod to make the brewing stand.

AFreakinCabbag3I'm no minecraft expert but on the face of it, it should renew the spawners and make minimal changes to the exisiting nether layout.

Hope this helps.

Homunculus FuryI have a diamond sword with a sharpness 1 on it and it's not enough for this one. do you remember how much xp you had when you got sharpness 2

AFreakinCabbag3It was about 10-15 because I accidentally did it with auto save on which is why I created the potion rather than pushing for level 30. Once you get around the 10-15 or above mark just disable auto save and try to see if you get the desired outcome. If you get things that won't help such as looting etc. just exit without saving and reload.

Homunculus FuryYeah I keep forgetting to disable autosave. I was level 24 when I did it. I'll just build up again and hopefully find some more diamonds to make another sword

Homunculus FuryI got this to work. ended up getting sharpness 2 (which takes 8 enchantment points) so you have a better guess at what you will get. did this at level 31. I hit a creeper with it but he still blew up and it gave me the achievement anyways, which was odd because if the creeper blows up he doesn't drop anything. so not sure if it was a glitch or not.

Drachen77Doesn't seem to be working for me. I have the potion made with a diamond sword with Smite IV and Knockback I. I guess I need the Sharpness.

Homunculus FuryAre you sure the potion is made correctly? I did this with a plain iron sword.

AFreakinCabbag3With smite are you using it on undead enemies?

Classed as - Increases damage to "undead" mobs (skeletons, zombies, withers, wither skeletons, and zombie pigmen)

Also if you jump attack you can crit which may also help get any damage you're lacking.
