This is arguably the hardest achievement in the game as it is known to be glitched for some. I thought it was too for me but refused to believe it, and I am pretty sure I discovered the problem.

There are approximately 10 guys in the tunnel when you are in the car that you must pop with the shotgun. Make sure you go into settings and turn your senstivity all the way up and autoaim on full. The achievement description says you have to kill all the workers in the tunnel. However, many have reported it after getting it on their 5th or 6th and others.

The way this achievement works: When you kill one worker once, the achievement registers that you killed that worker. So if you kill worker # 1 on the first runthrough, you technically don't need to worry about him on your next run through.

There are a few that are tricky to hit, once you get he hang of their positions, and finally hit them as well the achievement should unlock.

You will get frustrated very quickly, as you will have to watch the opening cutscene repeatedly. Take your time and you will eventually get it. It is not unattainable for anyone. It just unlocks in a very strange manner. Good Luck
BLYAST Also, some have reported that they unlocked it on their first run through. Good for them, but for those not so lucky, stick to the method above. I've also posted a video below for help.

I am SD If you play "easy" and set the "auto aim" to high this is really pretty easy. Just keep firing!

Digital Gungnir I set the game to easy with auto aim on high and sensitivity on high. Missed the first two guys but as I progressed I continued unloading on the workers. After either five or six kills the achievement popped; workers were still around shooting at the car. First try. Nice solution.

Crimson Drifter damn I never noticed that first guy, thanks for the vid NS, hopefully if I pop him it will finally get me the achievement, as I've tried 20+ times.

Thooper Man, the description in here saved me a lot of frustration. It unlocked on my 3rd or 4th kill, on my 3rd or 4th run through. Finally got a couple guys I hadn't the first few times. Ignored the guys I knew I had already killed. Thanks a lot.

Himuton Dude do you need to get to the crash save point for the downed workers to count?

I just got the achievement myself but I am still confused.

And yeah - Easy makes a huge difference compared to Medium difficulty.

VeloxosMortuus I could not get this achievement to unlock for me, so I just wanted to add a couple of thing that I did specifically after many attempts (15+) at the 'Roadkill' achievement. I did these things in addition to NightStalkar's tips of high sensitivity and auto aim, easy difficulty, and multiple play throughs.

1. I cleared my system cache and unplugged my ethernet cable from my Xbox, so that I wouldn't get the system update. I'd like to put an asterisks next to this one, because when I first played "The Darkness," I played through until chapter 3 without getting quite a few of the easy achievements - like 'Up Close and Personal' for performing an execution for the first time. I had to delete my game save, clear my cache, re-download the update, and start a new game in order for achievements like 'Up Close and Personal' to unlock. To me it seems that I needed the update to fix unlocking some achievements, but I had to delete it in order to get 'Roadkill.' I'm not sure what to make of this.

2. I let the guy on the hood hang on for a couple of seconds longer than I normally do. This is the second guy that you (literally) run in to. I noticed in a few videos that people who had the achievement were killing the third guy, and then they would kill the guy who had been hanging on the hood. On the run that I got my achievement I let the guy on hood hang on until after we went around the corner. Much like the video.

3. I always let the game save after the car crash, and then exited to the main menu when Jackie woke up on the ground. I then re-started chapter 1 from the main menu. Like Himuton, I don't know if you have to do it like this, but it is how I did it.

After clearing my cache, not updating the game, and letting the second guy hang on to the hood for a few seconds, it took me two runs of the tunnel to get the 'Roadkill' achievement. The achievement unlocked after the ninth or tenth guy - I had not yet gotten to the guy on the scaffolding on the left, so I still had two guys in the tunnel that I did not kill.

I don't think you have to do anything I suggested to get the achievement, but I had tried a lot of things and it wasn't until I tried these that I unlocked the achievement. If you are having troubles... this is at least something to try.

Also, mute your speakers. That cutscene does not improve with multiple viewings. At least with it on mute, you can look at the wall and not hear the sirens. You don't want to hear sirens in your sleep...

darkmikasonfire i can personally verify what the OP stated about they count as such you dont' have to kill them each time through if you kill the first guy he's killed you don't have to shoot him again, i confirmed because i've killed most but not all of them over well over 20 play throughs, and the last one i played through (after reading that they only need to be killed once), i only killed 4 people and got the achievement. chances are highly likely that you do have to kill all 10 of them, but not all in a single run, which makes this achievement around 100X easier than what it's seemed all this time to me.

LanEvoIX I can also confirm that either it's random, or the game keeps track of who you killed before. I just got the achievement now, after I killed the guy behind the truck in the left side of the road. It popped right away, and I'm 100% positive that I hadn't killed 7 of them in that specific run. I highly suggest you make a checklist of all workers you see and check them as you kill them. Make the ones you never killed before your priority.

D0NTMoCKMe not seeing a definitive answer on whether we need to let the game hit a save point or if we are good to just reload right before the crash anyone know for sure?
Posted by D0NTMoCKMe on 07 Feb 14 at 06:07
D0NTMoCKMe i hate when i ask a question and learn the answer a cpl minutes later. anyway you DO NOT have to wait for the crash to happen. if it dont unlock before the crash reload checkpoint even though you dont see the save symbol the game definitely still keeps track. so anyone like me who gets weirdly paranoid. now we know for sure.

Mobius Evalon Great, another bullshit achievement that's difficult for all the wrong reasons.

Games Master Hahaha gave it a single try to get an idea of where they spawn and failed. Then realized that you can literally spam RT (no reloads!) and got it on my second attempt. No skill required.
Posted by Games Master on 10 May 14 at 13:15
SK Diabolic I don't think anybody has mentioned this but the second group of workers can contain an extra guy on the left sometimes, so some playthroughs there is 11 workers to kill instead of 10.

EarthboundX Took me two tries, turning on autoaim and sensitivity to the max seems to do the trick, I was killing some that weren't even close to my aim cursor.

Games Master is right, just spam shots in the general direction and it's pretty simple.
