Comments on the guide for Stop ‘n’ Swop in Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts by Darklights

Thought I'd give an updated solution for this, having just unlocked it on Rare Replay

This guide will focus on the quickest way to unlock the achievement, there's many Stop N Swap items out there. For more info and a full guide check out

I've been told you need to have a Banjo Kazooie Nuts and Bolts saved game before the eggs will appear in the Banjo Kazzoie XBLA version, so make sure you do before continuing

To begin with load Banjo-Kazooie and head into Treasure Trove Cove.

Once in the cove head to the sandcastle, with the castle behind you look out to sea.
You should see a box with an extra life floating out in the water near a cave.
Swim out to that cave and head on in.

Once inside head around the mountain to the spring pad, use to jump up and then climb/fly your way around the mountain to the top.

At the top you'll see a big egg, grab it and Banjo will talk about unlocking something in Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts

Now load Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts

Start a single player game and when it loads you should see a cut-scene.
Head to the location shown in the cut scene and grab the box.

Bring the box back to Mumbo and drop it on his delivery pad.
Speak to him and the achievement unlocks.

Do Not Use The Sandcastle Cheats!
In Banjo-Kazooie you can enter cheats in the sandcastle to find the Stop N Swap items, it turns off saving so you can't actually trigger the items in Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts

This wouldn't work on my 360 save of nut's & bolts but after starting a new game on the one and beating the first Grunty battle to get up the slop job was a good en.

According to Sakura Yule's guide you need to have a Banjo Kazooie Nuts and Bolts saved game before the eggs will appear in the Banjo Kazzoie XBLA version. This would make sense as I played Banjo Kazooie first on Rare Replay and never saw any of the eggs. I really think this is important to mention as by following your solution and starting with Banjo Kazooie some people will get annoyed when they can't find them. I do appreciate you putting up this solution because everyone else just listed the levels the eggs were on and not where they were! Thanks

A little confused here as the video didn't show much, but I figured out that the video is from the start of Treasure Trove Cove. You might want to add that to your solution.

Is it possible to get this achievement without winning an achievement in Banjo Kazooie?

Short answer: No.

These are the only 2 achievements I had to unlock while on the way toward getting the egg in Banjo-Kazooie:

The Get Jiggy achievement in Banjo-Kazooie worth 10 pointsIt doesn't matter which two, just successfully collect any two Jiggies.

The Mumbo Jumbo achievement in Banjo-Kazooie worth 11 pointsGet yourself transformed by Mumbo Jumbo for the first time. Now that's magic!

No other achievements will need to be unlocked to get to the start of Treasure Trove Cove to collect the special egg.

How do you get to the boathouse location? Everywhere I go there are green ramps I can't go up, blocking the path.
