When you're playing a multiplayer game, each character has their own specific gem that you can match in order to throw a super snowball (for example, Young Kristoff needs to match the yellow pentagon gems). The gem is shown on the screen during character select and during the game.

If you look at the snowball bar during the game, there'll be a glowing line that'll move up every time you match that specific gem. Get that line to the end of the bar 3 times in one round and you'll get the achievement!

It's easier if you just use a second controller and play against nobody, since then you won't be disrupted by any thrown snowballs.

Edit: RazorPriest pointed out the following in the comments;

"the second controller will die too early if you just spam matches, since it'll get clogged with ice from all your regular snowballs. I always end up having to switch to it and clear some ice halfway through just to keep it alive"

I personally never had this happen to me, but best to keep in mind that it is a possibility.
Aidax89Thrown at least five super snowballs in a round and it doesn't unlock

AwooDownvote. You don't even mention the most problematic part of this, which is that the second controller will die too early if you just spam matches, since it'll get clogged with ice from all your regular snowballs. I always end up having to switch to it and clear some ice halfway through just to keep it alive. That and it does indeed seem to be glitchy, I've got 3 plenty of times now and it won't unlock.

AwooRight, finally managed to get it to pop after restarting the game a few times. What a load of shit this is.

TehJofusI didn't mention that because it never happened to me. I didn't have to switch and play both boards when I was going for it, not even once.

TehJofusAlso, the issue with achievements not unlocking in the past 24 hours has been a glitch with the Xbox One, rather than the game. When achievements are working again, 3 super snowballs WILL unlock the achievement.

AwooStill overall issues with achievements? Everything seems to be working fine other than this game, progress bars freezing (haha) left and right.

BRiT wtfdotcomDefinitely a glitchy achievement. Trying to get it to pop despite throwing 4 Super Snowballs in a round.

GRAND NOBLEI threw 7 snowballs in 1 round, didn't get the achv. Might be glitchy. Or maybe i'm doing it wrong.

is there a difference between snowballs and "super" snowballs?

GRAND NOBLEOn the next game I threw 9 snowballs in 1 round, and my % bar moved from 33% to 66% weird? Next round (same match), I thew 8 snowballs.... but % didn't increase.. super weird.

Seems very inconsistent. Then 8, nothing. Then 5, nothing. Then 5, nothing.

GRAND NOBLEOK I get it now! Me and ALL the people commenting negatively. YOU are doing it wrong. The original solution tells you exactly the correct info.

I threw 9 snowballs, but only 2 were "Super Snowballs." As the solution says you have to get enough of the characters' color to move the little LIGHT line. once it moves all the way to the right, the next snowball will be Super. You need 3. It's hard.

Only tips I can add is if you have a choice of 2 matches, always go for the one of your color.

Try not to match "4" of another color, because the block stays on the board... which is only good if it's "4" of YOUR color, cuz then it stays and can be used to match 3 again.

Getting "5" is great for this, cuz you can use the snowflake block (after matching 5) to get rid of a certain color on the board.

Also, you can get really close to throwing a Super Snowball... and then get enough matches of different colors, and throw a regular snowball... then right AFTER, max out your Super.. and have to get a ton of matches AGAIN just to finally throw that 1st Super Snowball. I threw 2 and probably had about 90% to throw my 3rd and the match ended, but it's because my first Super took too long.

Everyone that is saying the 2nd player dies early? I just played like 20 rounds and that never happened once. Thumbs up to this solution even though I haven't gotten it yet. Because all the info is literally right there. We all were just doing it wrong.
